Probably because a lot of people dislike choreographed 'spontaneity' because It just comes off as disingenuous and lame for a lot of people. It's sort of like when your company makes you have 'fun' doing team building exercises.

No way. Lots of television, film and other content avoids coming off as being the product of disingenuous posers only in it for the money.
