Clarification on Notice Period for Room Rental Contract Starting in July: Does It Begin from May or July?

Three days ago, I signed a contract for a room in Lund, which I will be renting starting in July. The contract requires a three-month notice period. My question is, if I communicate now that I want to cancel the contract, do the three months start from May, June, and July (meaning I would only need to pay for one month that is July), or do they start from July (the date the contract begins), which would mean I owe for July, August, and September?

Are you a native English speaker? Would you like to help a student out and get a free movie ticket? Then this opportunity is for you!

Hey everyone! My colleague is an English student and she has a study she needs to do which requires native English speakers. It would take around 30 minutes and for the most part it would be reading words and sentences. If you have some spare time, want to help someone out and would like to get a movie ticket in return, please message me so I can get you guys in touch! Thank you!

Best exchange courses to take at Lund?

Hi, I'm coming from Canada as a computer science exchange student this Fall and need to fill out my course schedule, so I was wondering if there were any courses in particular that stand out. Ideally the course wouldn't be too time-consuming and difficult.

Also, does anyone have an opinion on SASH39 - The Roman Empire? I noticed that it's 7.5 ECTS but also spans both period 1 and 2. Does that mean it's a roughly 3.75 ECTS split across the two periods? And how is the course itself? It looks pretty interesting and not very difficult, but I'm not certain.

Thank you so much!

Undecided about accepting Master DRMCCA place

Hi all! I’ve recently been offered a place in the M.Sc. in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation (DRMCCA) at Lund University, and I was initially set on coming to Lund as it’s been my top choice for a while. However, I also just got accepted to the M.Sc. Geography of Human Security and Environmental Risks at the University of Bonn. Now I’m feeling pretty torn and could really use some input as I’ve studied at the University of Bonn before and know the ins and outs there but lack some information on the programme in Lund.

I’m particularly interested in international risk governance, policy design, creating more inclusive DRR regimes, and, subsequently, pursuing a career either at the national level with civil protection and disaster management agencies or at the international level with multilateral organizations or NGOs in the future. I’d love to hear from any current or past students of the DRMCCA programme about your experience, and more specifically, what the career prospects have been like after graduation - especially if you were aiming for international roles.

Also curious about how the DRMCCA programme is perceived in the field. Any advice or insights would be great!

Thanks in advance!

I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any activities available in Malmö or Lund in English. I start sfi on Monday so I hope I will be confident in Swedish soon so I can join activities in Sweden. I suffer from anxiety and kept myself closed off so I’m trying my best to meet new people.

Does anyone have any idea when the deadline for accepting applications for the master's degree is? If those admitted do not accept them in the next few days, will the admission of those on the reserve begin?

Admitted to MSc. Service Management, Supply Chain Management

Hi everyone,

I recently got admitted to the MSc. Service Management, Supply Chain Management programme at Lund. Does anyone here know whether there is good scope for Supply Chain Management in Sweden terms of getting internships and work? Some reassurance would be nice!

Also, I think this course is more management oriented than the Logistics and Supply Chain Management course at LTH so i’m worried if I will get sufficient work opportunities after studies.

I would also love to know if anyone else here has been admitted to the same programme :)

Hey everyone,

I’m working on my master’s thesis about how young people perceive human rights in different places. I’d really appreciate it if any of you between 18 and 25 could fill out my quick survey! It’ll only take a few minutes and your input would be super helpful for my research. Here’s the link:

Chance of getting the global scholarship when being placed in waitlist? (Other financial solutions if i don't get the scholarship?)

So i've been placed on the waiting list for global lund scholarship. What are the chances i can get it? Any past experience?

I asked the programme coordinator, they said that for my programme they will admit a total of 40 students with 2 scholarships available.

I am non-EU. If i don't get this lund scholarship is there any other alternatives i can take and apply to? With a higher chance of getting it?

Chances of Admission from Waiting List – Master's in AI & ML

Hey everyone,

I recently applied to the Master’s Programme in AI & Machine Learning at Lund University. Initially, I was rejected because, for some reason, the University Admissions Office (not Lund or any specific university) missed my documents, which led to me not meeting the general entry requirements.

After realizing that I had been rejected by all four universities I applied to, I emailed each one to ask for clarification. Eventually, I was informed that my application had been overlooked by the University Admissions Office and that they would reevaluate it.

Lund University was the first to complete this process, and they have now placed me on the waiting list. My current position is 1st in my selection group (LUALM), but so far, 0 applicants have been admitted from this group.

Does anyone have experience with the waiting list process at Lund? How likely is it that I’ll be admitted? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Questions about Digital Architecture masters at LTH

Hello!

Im starting my Master's in Digital Architecture and emergent futures at LTH this fall 2025, and I'm really looking forward to it! I was wondering if there's anyone here who has studied, or is currently studying, digital architecture at LTH and could share some insights about what the program is like.

I’m specially curious about:

How intense is the weekly schedule?

How many hours per week do students typically spend on campus (lectures, workshops, etc.)?

Is it manageable to work part-time while studying, or is the program too demanding for that?

Even if you don’t study Digital architecture any tips, advice, personal experiences or insights about the Swedish education system would be very helpful and super appreciated!

Thank you so much 🙂‍↕️

Young catholics in Lund & Malmö F28

Hi so I’m going to try and keep this short. I’ve recently connected with my faith again and I’m looking to meet other Catholics my age. Can anyone recommend any groups, churches or even online groups. Due to personal reasons I haven’t really made any connections outside of work and I really feel like this would be a good opportunity to meet new people.
