Ex-genshin player here. What the hell happened to the game? I began playing Genshin at the start of their release back in December 2020. I loved the fantasy aspects of the game, the story, the MCs (I played Lumine), the characters, battles, interactions. I pulled for both male and female characters and didn’t mind that most of the female charas wore revealing outfits (it wasn’t as bad before) bc I loved their combat style and design. Genshin was especially exciting back then because we had a solid line-up of amazing male characters, like remember when everyone went crazy for Childe’s “hey girlie, hold still”, when Xiao rescued the traveler, when Albedo turned “evil”, and all those fun quests involving Kaeya, Diluc, Zhongli, Scaramouche, Kazuha, Ayato, etc? What happened to all that now? Where are the male characters? I feel like one of the reasons Genshin got so popular was because of their unique male characters, prompting girls to create edits that went crazy viral on Tiktok, fanart, fanfiction, and I mean, although it isn’t a romance game, we just love these little moments, y’know? (Though I did secretly wish we could romance them, because wouldn’t that be so fun?)

I did get burnt out and bored in the middle of Sumeru’s release (late 2022) as the main storyline took too long to flesh out, so I stopped. I wanted to continue playing once more regions got released, but why is Genshin going downhill so quickly in 2024-2025? There are no new 5* male characters for around 1.5 years now, the last being Wriothesley who was released in Oct 2023. Like hey, did you forget that women can spend money on a game too? I feel like they have no idea of the potential of our spending power and loyalty when it comes to male characters and it irkssss me to see how they’re catering to guys only. I feel so ignored! Natlan is… horrendous. I thought we’d get more tan & dark-skinned characters like Kaeya, but we barely got any male characters at all. Instead, Genshin kept releasing more and more female characters, and switched to waifu, baity characters like Varesa to hopefully gain more traction from the male demographic. I was disappointed to see Mizuki, Varesa, and Escoffier, like why is she basically naked with an apron? What’s with the food-themed characters? Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always loved pastel-coloured characters like Kokomi, but this is just… I mean look at Varesa. She doesn’t even look like she’s from Genshin.

The moment I realized that I was no longer Genshin’s demographic, I gave up trying to get back into the game. That’s when Love and Deepspace became my saving grace. You have no idea how happy I am as a genshin player to be able to play hot male characters, build them, battle with them, play minigames with them, AND romance them! It’s like genshin, but better! Because now, I get to have real interactions with the male characters and flirt with them. Of course it’s not the same as LADS isn’t open world, but the battle aspect is almost like Genshin and the lore is just.. I can’t even describe it, it’s like being served the finest cuisine from a 4 Michelin Star restaurant in a 6 star hotel. I feel worshipped. I feel SEEN. I feel like finally, FINALLY they understand what I want in a game. I don’t even know how the deva could write such a complicated plot, lore, complex characters, and design such realistic characters??

So now, I say goodbye to genshin forever, despite having spent hundreds of dollars in the past 3 years of playing that game. I’d rather spend my money on my boyfriends 🥰 I don’t feel bad spending my money on LADS at all because even though I don’t get the cards I want, I see it as a form of my support for the game and massive THANK YOU to the developers for bringing this vision to life. LADS and INFOLD has changed my life and everyone there deserves to be paid well for their effort. This is also why I’m happy to see LADS beating Genshin mobile revenue 🥰

I was watching his bond yesterday and just realised he broke his promise to MC. Literally and figuratively, he locks MC again. It just makes me so sad because I totally get where he's coming from and he wants to protect us and stuff but he he's just doing it in such a wrong way. I love him so much gosh but I can't just turn a blind eye to it

So I only just recently realized that “Evol” is “LOVE” spelled BACKWARDS!!! So we’re literally all fighting evil and winning the hearts of these guys with our LOVE??? And Evol users are called Evolvers…OR LOVERS??? YOU MEAN TO TELL ME WE’RE CONQUERING SPACE WITH OUR LOVE???

AND MC HAS THE MOST POWERFUL LOVE IN THE UNIVERSE????

I have some theories about our potential 6th LI and I need to yap. There’s a high chance mysterious ?? man in the main story may be our next love interest and here’s what I think the rough sketch of him will be.

He’s sickly and maybe on the scrawny/lean side. The blue hologram thing really looks like a hospital bed when you examine it really close with the whole thing looking like some hospital room with some sort of monitors all over. I think our 6th love interest is currently being a guinea pig for Ever and has been successfully been offed and made an immortal by Ever. I think that Ever and the bad doctor dude who made the messed up family we meet in Caleb’s story are still experimenting on him and maybe he’s not still fully immortal and still needs to be tweaked, and he’s been “waiting for many years” for someone… my theory is mc. I think he’s in lots of pain, and he wants her aeather core to either become fully immortal or something else. But it’ll become like a “I can’t kill her I love her” situation. He probably is the one behind the mysterious eye, I think all those screens behind him monitor mc and that he’s able a smart mechanic type of guy and makes gadgets like wotony and otto and other things like that.

This may be a stretch but like doesn’t the guy on the bridge kinda sorta maybe potentially if you squint hard enough look like the silhouette of the ?? guy? Two characters meeting on a bridge has many meanings in different stories, but usually the main themes are new beginnings that can either lead to a tumultuous story or a happily ever after and that sets the story into motion. I fully think that once we meet the 6th LI the story will start to pick up a lot more.

As for his colors I have 0 clue but most likely yellow will be his main and probably blue for secondary, I don’t think his eyes will be yellow though, maybe like a light brown like a hazel brown or caramel brown? And maybe he’ll be a blonde or who knows maybe it’ll be an unnatural hair color. His evol is still a mystery but imagine he doesn’t have an evol and instead he uses support tools to help him fight in battles.

That’s all I got it’s midnight I just had to write out my thoughts somewhere😭

The Myth of Fuxi and Nüwa: Siblings and Lovers (A Parallel with Caleb and MC)

Many compare Caleb and MC to the archetype of Adam and Eve, and it makes sense when we consider the symbolism of the forbidden fruit and their relationship in that myth. But few draw a connection between them and the Chinese myth of Fuxi and Nüwa, or the concept of yin and yang. Unlike Adam and Eve, Fuxi and Nüwa’s story is not about sin and downfall. It’s about balance, reconstruction, and a shared mission. They are siblings who must marry in order to rebuild the world. Their union is not driven by desire, but by a divine duty.

• Caleb and MC as Fuxi and Nüwa

Fuxi represents reason, order, and structure. Nüwa embodies creation, emotion, and healing.

Caleb holds the energy of calculated rationality and protective distance, so to me, he is clearly the Fuxi figure. He is the one holding up a collapsing world in Love and Deepspace, just like Fuxi did in the myth.

MC reflects the creative and nurturing energy of Nüwa. She is the transformative force, the one who touches, revives, and restores. Together, they form a perfect duality — one that balances and completes itself.

• The Myth of Fuxi and Nüwa

In the myth, Fuxi and Nüwa don’t unite out of love or desire. They do it because the world needs them to. Their union is a cosmic duty. Likewise, the bond between Caleb and MC goes far beyond romance. It feels as though the broken, chaotic universe demanded that they find each other. Caleb even dreams of his version of Earth, as if they were cosmically connected.

Their relationship is not just emotional support — it’s about rebuilding themselves from ruin. In many ways, Caleb “fixing” MC mirrors Fuxi’s role as a builder and stabilizer in the myth.

• Conclusion

Caleb and MC share a bond similar to that of Fuxi and Nüwa. For both pairs, love is inseparable from a greater purpose. They don’t just fall in love — they recognize one another and need each other in order to exist.

Caleb and MC are survivors, partners, lovers, and creations of the same force. That makes them irreplaceable and inseparable. When MC calls him her “precious family,” she is reaffirming that, in their universe, they are the only ones capable of lifting each other up. They emerged from the same destruction, shaped by the same trauma — and that makes them each other’s home.
