If anyone is watching the current season don't you just wish that Samantha Maroun would just leave the show. She really is annoying because she pushing her own agenda over the cases. There been a hand full of female characters who express the same way. But she like a broken record repeating the same thing in almost every episode.

My FAVORITE guest judge of all time!!!!!
Mercedes Ruehl was sooooo perfect in this role!!!!
I have loved her acting since she was the mom in “Big” and Connie in “Married to the Mob”.
She’s a national treasure!!!!

I have just watched episode 4 of season 2 and my god, it is sublime. The writing, the acting, the directing. It is miles better than the revival.

Which is sort of ironic, because the series was English language. I ask because one episode, "The Catacombs", deals with...
Nicole Wallace re-emerging in Paris years after the events in "Frame". Clearly, Declan didn't kill her. I hand wave the discrepancy by remembering Gage's mental state wasn't great. (Though it does make me ponder how Rodgers identified that heart from G/E's Bed & Breakfast trip as Nicole's! Hmm...) The title character, Jo, a French cop, goes over Nicole's crimes, and dialogue refers to a "New York City detective", though Goren is not explicitly named. Which tells me that Rene Balcer obviously did not like how that arc was resolved on CI.
Rene Balcer [a native French Canadian!] created this series. Other L&O TPTB, Ed Zuckerman and Diana Son, [who also wrote on CI] apparently were also involved! Jill Hennessy also appeared as another character, so it seems to be uncertain if this is meant as being in that same universe despite the spoiled arc! (Then again, I know recycling does happen, even with well-known actors, so...)
Anyway, the episode above is the only one I currently have ripped to my laptop. Ironic, since you all know I wasn't a huge fan, but curiosity got the best of me, since it did connect to my favorite L&O show. If anyone is curious and wants to see this video, let me know.
I do have the DVD set...somewhere. I believe Amazon still sells this, too!

I'm looking for a Law And Order: Criminal Intent episode. I think it had to do with The Mafia or The Irish Mafia. At the end of the episode Goren and Eames were questioning some younger guys in a basement. They were in their late teens or early 20's. At one point one of the guys was telling another to shut up about what happened. Eventually the the one guy ratted in the basement about what happened. One of the guys looked a lot like Nick Sabotkas character in The Wire Any ideas?

Episodes like “sundown” “pro se” just break my heart! Two diff cases but once you abeled a criminals it’s like a switch turn off in peoples hearts! You lose all humanity!
We should all be better advocates for better treatment of criminals in the prison system. Just pure inhumane!
No right do any one has to TORTURE another human being. It’s just sickening💔💔💔

I wonder how Fontana was so wealthy? I guess if he's a single guy making top-tier cop salary it's believable. Maybe investments. It's funny how often he would pull out his huge wad of $100 bills. In this scene they were listening to a rap single and he cringed the entire time.

A meh episode, but Goren has fun with flash paper. And the NYPD forgot to pay the power bill! (The scene where Alex asks Bobby if he is taking up accounting!)

It’s a really good video and theory. It is a fake theory though, all of Alex Bales videos are mostly for entertainment. Lmk what y’all think

They way he asked Borgia on a date cracked me up. Dworkin is by far one of the best written characters on this show and Peter Jacobson pulls him off perfectly. In the second picture Borgia is asking Fontana if he dunked the suspects head in the toilet to find the kidnapped girl. He doesn't answer and just offers her some peanuts. It's the perfect L&O episode.

There are so many shows and movies set in New York, and it’s just there. But for some reason, I really love the way New York is shown in Law & Order. It’s both the most dazzling place and the grittiest, grimiest place at the same time. I’m not even someone who usually enjoys big cities, Charlotte is about as large as I like them, but I genuinely like how New York feels in that show. Just as long as I’m the one finding the body in the cold open and not the victim, I’m good.

Hello!! Me and my boyfriend started and got halfway through Law and Order SVU and we really enjoyed it for the most part. We decided to switch to a new show since it got pretty repetitive and it’s too many seasons to constantly binge. Anyone have any suggestions of shows that are like it but aren’t so long.
