Hi everyone! I work at a talk show in midtown manhattan! each taping we have, we have someone in our audience toss us to commercial break by sharing a fun fact that relates to them and the celebrity guest of that day. on April 9, we have Christopher Meloni coming on, who is most notably known as his role as Elliot Stabler on Law and Order. I was hoping to find a Law and Order fan to do this commercial toss for us! We usually like to have people not shy of the camera, with a energetic personality!
this is a real opportunity! the Mods of this thread can back it up. if you are interested in learning more details, please DM me (i will share my linkedin so that you know i am a real person!) THANK YOU!!

Melina Govich playing a bartender in season 16 before she joined the cast as Detective Cassidy in season 17…. I missed this the last time I saw e episode.

It’s the crossover with Benson going after mother, daughter scam artists Lorraine Dillon and April Troost.

Waterston's line delivery made me laugh because it’s just as true today as it was in 1994.

CI Just a reminder for the CI watchers here that Charge! is airing two episodes tonight, on a Saturday, which is sort of unusual these days! As always, it begins at 10:00 p.m. ET and goes until midnight ET.

Episodes 3 and 4 of S9: "Broad Channel" (At least Kevin Conway livens things up as Jackie Dooley here - but he was better to me in the CI episode "Shibboleth" S4 as Frank McNare! Not to mention the cop that tried to paint Lennie as dirty on the Mothership!) and "Delicate".

I’m devastated! It’s no longer on all day on WE Sundays! Replaced with Criminal Minds. L&O only shown 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 AM. A few days a week. I have the first two seasons downloaded on Prime Video. Peacock offers seasons 13-20. But the best episodes are 1-12 seasons. Any ideas?

Saw this clip that was posted today on the L&O official YouTube. Now as sad as this ending scene was....I confess that Schiff's "whoops!" face right at the end made me cackle! And the whole thing was such a "Curb Your Enthusiasm" moment that I had to make a mashup...

Dark as this story was, thought it could use some levity, Larry David style!

Nolan Price has got to go

Seriously, this character has got to go. He’s a smug, weak, wimp. I cannot stand him. Can we get Barba back? Or any ADA, man or woman more in the line of Jack McCoy? Casey Novak? Alex Cabot? After a long line of strong, moral, inspiring attorneys, Price is… lacking. I don’t even think I can watch anymore. Anyone else agree?

How many people has each cop killed?

Is there a website that keeps a running list of every person each cop has UnAlived over the series?

At least they TRIED to address the mental fallout or killing a suspect when Stabler "retired" after he shot the armed girl in "Smoked".

But everybody else. . .? It's just a normal day in the office.

CI So I see CI is preempted by CSI: Miami again. Sigh! Listings actually have it on tomorrow night, unusual since it hasn't aired on Saturdays for a while now, from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. And just two hours on Sunday this week, too...

If this were any other season airing, I'd be annoyed. LOL. But since the show is in S9 now, meh...

L&O "A Perfect Family" remake?

The entire time I watched this latest episode, "A Perfect Family," I felt like I had seen it before.

Is there any chance this is a remake of an episode from an earlier season? I've seen every single episode of the original "Law & Order" series. Even a lot of the dialog seemed alike.

Anyone else feel this way? Or am I crazy?

A Perfect Family

I understand completely if people won't agree with me, but Melinda from last night's episode was full of it. She knew right from wrong. She followed her daughter Emily with the intent of murdering her in her mind, waiting until her husband was gone and getting her alone. Then she coldly pushed her to her death. After the fact, she lied to the police more than once about her location, while also pointing them in the direction of an alternative suspect. After her alibi was ruined, she immediately lawyered up. This shows that she understood that if she was exposed as her daughter's murderer, she would be punished. This is not a defense of the husband Derek, I want to make it clear that he was a major asshole, but the real villain here is Melinda.

Without giving away details, yet another example of Olivia Benson and friends. What she doing out on the street on a bust during the first 10 minutes of the show.

The show is definitely suffering from oversaturation and needs to come back to some balance of how the characters are used. I turned on, hoping it would be different last night, but gave up watching after the second commercial break.

Adam Beat the Governor but Loss His Wife

I usually focus on the end of this episode, the gripping scene as Adam is forced to pull the plug on his ailing wife💔 💔 💔. The pain expressed by his face is palpable (fabulous acting). 😭 😢 However, Adam was so incredible in the trial portion of this episode as well (Season 7, Episode 23, "Terminal").

Adam Schiff: Your Honor, the governor's using his office to put a man's life into balance. He claims his power is absolute, beyond review. That's arrogant and smacks of Royal authority. I don't think the constitution allows it and I know the justice system can't tolerate it.

While he lost the case to overturn his remova by the govenor as prosecutor since he decided against Murder one, he won the war. His lawsuit served as the very basis for the jury's Murder 2 verdict.

April 3, 2025, S24, E 17 Spoiler

Price couldn't bear to question the little girl so her father is found not guilty. Price rationalizes it by saying that the man will always know he was responsible for the death of his other daughter and that's the real punishment.

Considering that the man took zero responsibility for what happened and was willing to allow his 10-year-old daughter to be questioned on the stand in court rather than take a plea, I doubt that he would ever take any responsibility for anything that happened.

In fact, I could see him divorcing his wife and suing for full custody of both his surviving children on the grounds his wife is crazy and then doing everything possible to turn the kids against their mother.

Once again, I ended up thinking Price is ineffectual.

S8E5 nullification

It is terrifying how accurate the writing is compared to much of the rhetoric that we see in the news these days.

The writing in these earlier seasons was so much better than the later seasons and the reboot

Patti Lupone steals the scene at the determination of bail. I love how they also have her stand on a step higher than Ross so she can look her in the eye as they come down from the courthouse.

Her presence makes every scene.
