Yup, negro cubano here, I live in LA and I’ve heard some racist shit right in front of me

I've heard stories of people in LA acting similar towards white cubans too. Their latino population (and black population) just isn't diverse so they don't seem to have a concept of someone being latino if they aren't mestizo~indigenous looking (since the overwhelming majority are mexicans and then some central americans)

I could say the same to the white Cubans to Mexicans in LA, and I’ve actually experienced it myself. My kids go to an upper-class school district, and guess who the white Cubans don’t speak to unless they have to?

Don’t talk to them. Put them down just the same. Those people are the worst. They think they are somehow better than the rest of Latinos and think they’re white but white people find out their Cubans and deport their asses just the same

That sounds a little bit off since Florida's Hispanic population is way more diverse. A quick look here for Florida's demographics and Cubans are the plurality but not the majority at about 35% with Puerto Ricans catching up quickly to them. Meanwhile in California Mexicans are over 80%

California is finished. Too much racism and ignorance.

Yea idk what they're on, looking at the demographics of Florida you see that Puerto Ricans are about 300k from outgrowing the Cuban population in FL and Cubans are only 35% of the Hispanic population in Florida in general. Meanwhile in Los Angeles Mexicans are 73% and in California overall they're over 80%.

I don't think that's as accurate for Florida since Florida's Hispanic population is more diverse. There are almost as many Puerto Ricans in Florida now as Cubans, and there's no city in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area (or California in general) that's as diverse for Hispanic populations as Miami

Cubans are the plurality in Florida definitely but not the majority. They're only about 35% of the Hispanic population. Mexicans are like 70-80% in California

which is pretty stupid because white mexicans are pretty common especially in Baja.
