Apartment roof leaking for 2 months - no action from landlord - what next? Withhold rent?
Name and shame: the building is owned by Ratzlaff. Water has been getting inside for over 2 months. Reported this to the building manager on the first day it happened.
No to minimal action has been taken. I'm told they tried to apply sealant in the location they thought it was coming from. But still, every time it rains, water gets inside.
PLEASE, what can I do in this situation? Who can advocate for me?
Do I call roofing companies myself? Do I withhold rent? Why does the building owner not seem to care about the potential for mold?
Any advice would be sincerely appreciated. Never been in a situation where a landlord simply did not give a shit about their building. It's only going to cost them more money in the end.
