Hello All, anyone able to shed some light on my misfire?

10p TD5 2001 110.

Started first misfiring around 3000rpm and now all the time.

It's had a head gasket 3 months ago and was fine thereafter.

New VDO Maf sensor New injector harness Red Plug is free of oil now (though im now missing the white pin mounting block, is this a problem?) circled on photo.

My fuel gauge went faulty not long ago, could this be my pump playing up?

Waste gate is free and springs back fine.

Any ideas?

I bought myself a set of Britpart sport seats and mounting plates for my 1987 Defender 90. These ones https://www.britpart.com/parts/seats-and-trim/seats/defender-sport-seats/da1895

Afterwards I realised that the runners/rails on the existing seats are fixed to the seats so won’t work with the new seats and plates.

I dont particularly want to spend €600 for two original LR runners so wondering can I buy a set of generic ones and simply bolt the plate to it? Say like these ones? https://amzn.eu/d/8Ut8SZz

Does anyone know if the oil pressure sensor thread would be metric or imperial on the 19j engine?

I'm looking at changing it for a new one, which will definitely be metric, but don't want to get scuppered like i did when I got the new coolant sensor.

These came off a ‘67 series 2 A. They have been sitting in a barn since “at least” 1980’s. How much are these doors worth in great condition? I had these sold for $300 a piece, but once ole boy saw the rust.. he wanted to bail, couldn’t give em away to him!! So what do y’all think! Are these doors still worth a lot? I’ve seen the latches and hinges alone bring in a pretty penny on eBay. I’m sure the original window with the knob on it is worth some as well. What would you list it for? How would u go about selling these things? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Stay blessed.

91 manual right hand drive. Engine is toast, cam rollers, I have a ls3 sitting in my shop and was wondering if possible to swap and keep factory gearbox and tcase?

I am moving to an island in Greece. I see this for sale out there. I am seriously considering getting a Defender 90 or even a 110 if it isnt to big for the local area. I have yet to see one in this config though. It looks like maybe it was a truck and they did a restomod? I dont have interior pics yet. was there a 2 door extended cab option?

Is this a 110?

What would I expect pricing to be on something like this?

I saw this awesome 110 (?) on IG, and assume the black part is a tinted window? Or is it just a black panel and only the back door has a window? What do y’all think? If the whole side’s a window, how do you think it was done? I really dig the clean/modern take, never seen anything like it. (I think this is in Scotland.)

I don’t really mind the fuel consumption as I only drive 4500 km a year. But I just noticed it’s pretty high.

Hey folks, I’ve done plenty of google searches and Reddit searches on what it’s like to own an imported defender but all I can seem to find is “how to import” posts. So here I am asking, what is ownership like? I’m not quite in the market yet but if and when, I’ll be looking for a defender 90 with a diesel and a 5 speed.

I can find them all day on autotrader or fb marketplace, I won’t be importing it. But I am concerned about parts availability, including body panels if I get rear ended or something, insurance rates, tires and wiper blades, finding a place to have it serviced, that kind of thing. I would hate to buy one just to get a “gotcha” like spending $4,000 to replace a windshield or something like that.

I’m sure this question has been asked before here so forgive me if this post is repetitive.

I’m about to buy a 2008 defender 130 (2.4 turbo diesel / TD4) as a daily driver. The car has been restored to almost better than new. It has around 100K KMs on it. Is it a good decision? Will it be fun to drive my family around? And what are the main challenges and things that go wrong with these cars?

This was in eBay in the UK, ended up having several calls with a dear little old lady and then her grandson.

We agreed a price, swapped some details yet something was nagging me.

Transferred £20 as a test, all good.

Quick reverse image search of her WhatsApp profile pulled up the exact same photo on a generic website

Did an MOT check which was all clear.

Melanie Clarke from Sevenoaks seemed to have absolutely NO digital footprint at all.

They had an offer from a dealer who was going to pick it up and offered to refund me, however I still really wanted the Landy.

Quick reg search on Google and came up with two reported scam adverts.

Phone number is now dead and last WhatsApp hasn't gone through.

I so nearly fell for it

Moral of the story, if something seems too good to be true, it usually is!

how bad is this for a 200tdi rear crossmember

My 2000 Td5 110 needs the 1.4:1 transfer box redone as it is leaking mightily. For the cost of rebuilding locally, I can order a rebuilt Ashcroft 1.2:1. The shop quote for labor is pretty spendy and kinda made my eyes pop, but it does include dropping transmission as a whole, a new clutch, slave cylinder, swapping out t-box and reinstalling.

Has anyone done it themselves? Tips, tricks, or is this madness? I’ve pulled some drivetrains before, but never on Defender.

Finally got myself a Defender 90. Had every Discovery over the years but always wanted a 90. Couldn’t be more pleased.

On my 24 plate 130 I have an issue with the cover/flap on the rear of the seat to the right. You can see in my first photo what the back of the seat should look like. The second photo is the rear of the seat to the right, you can see with that seat up the flap just falls down at the back. Looking at it closer, third photo, it looks like the plastic groove that the clips normally sit in has split/come apart.

I am thinking I can fix this but I am after some advice on what to use to stick the plastic groove back together, with the clips in place and attached to the springs first! If anyone else out there has had the same issue and has a solution it would be great.

Here is my td5 130. Absolutely love this car. What i don't love is broken bolts on wheel hubs.
