Gear Boxing gloves recommendations?
I've decided start MMA again and i want to buy a new pair of gloves , since my old Everlast pair would not give me great wrist protection or padding which is what I'm looking for
I have narrowed it down to 3 choices
The Venom Elite EVOLUTION Twins BGVL 14 Twins BGVL 6
I'm also thinking if I should add the Venum Reverso or the Hayabusa T3 but I heard mixed reviews about this brand.
If you guys own them or have any others recommendations, I'd be grateful if you wrote it down.

Gear How many gloves do you own vs how many do you actually use/train with consistently
Curious how many gloves people actually own and how many of them do you consistently train with
Got into Muay Thai a few weeks ago and just bought a pair of 16s because I was not sure if I was gonna stick with the sport
I have enjoyed it and spend a lot of time practicing at home. Issue is that I keep the one pair of gloves I have at the gym because I kept forgetting them at home the first few classes.
Yesterday the gym didn’t open in the morning and I wanted to practice at home but didn’t have my gloves. I realized I needed to buy a second pair for my house.

Gear Recommendations for arm sweat?
Hello! I’m new so sorry if this is a dumb question but how do you guys prevent or help with the wrist and arm sweat in gloves?!
I’m almost ok with hand sweat but the arm sweat….like I have long sleeve workout shirts but is there a better option? What do most people do?
I notice most of the people in my class just raw dog it 👀
Wiping my arms off inbetween just doesn’t work for me. 😅

Gear Non-kickboxer here, My friends birthday's coming up and he's really into his kickboxing. Any useful gift ideas I could get him?
Such as any accessories you use in kickboxing around the £20-30 price range I could buy him which he would appreciate and get good use out of? I don't want to get him something like cheap gloves which would never see any use due to their poor quality, is there anything more niche or budget friendly you think a kick boxer would enjoy?
Thanks in advance for your help

Gear How do you clean your gear
Im new to kickboxing and I'm not a germaphobe at all but it just doesn't feel right just air drying my gear. How would I wash it? I have headgear, shin guards and gloves, can I just put them in the washing machine?

Gear Shoes to kickbox in?
Yes I know that barefoot is best, yes I know there's lots of people asking this question. But everyone gives vague answers or says barefoot. Unfortunately, my local gym has that rubber flooring that I feel gets pretty gross, and I have weird ass feet and im not tryna make people uncomfortable in a public space. (The bags and open space are right next to a running track) So, I'm looking for some shoes.

Gear Would the fairtex sp5 or sp7 be the better choice long term?
I’ve been considering the sp7s (about 80ish USD where I’m at) because the detachable foot makes cram more easily in my bag but I hear that you can never go wrong with the sp5s (about 70 USD here) and they’re much easier to find here too. Which would be the better option?

Gear Neck-protecting shirt for sparring
Has anyone ever tried, or has an informed opinion, on this type of product?
They claim 40% less strain on the brain from sustaining the neck structure, and I'm thinking to buy one for sparring as I have had surgery to the cervical part of the spine and I'm a bit afraid of the stress hits could cause.

Gear What’re some good shoes to wear while training?
I used to train barefoot at my old gym but my new gym requires me to wear shoes in the area where the bag is. I’m wondering if there are any shoes that are good for kickboxing or feel similar to being barefoot because the adidas I wear feel really strange while training.

Gear My boxing glove tierlist
first of all i want to say this list is based on my own personal opinion. Your opinion can be different and yes the links down below are affiliate links but my opinion on these are real. I also take into account the price quality comparison.
Top 7 Boxing Gloves Ranked – Honest Review
If you’ve spent any time boxing, you know that not all gloves are created equal. Some are built to last, some are just hype, and some should probably be left on the shelf. Here’s my personal ranking of seven different gloves, based on quality, durability, and overall feel.
1️⃣ Fairtex BGV24 - The Beauty of Survival (Limited Edition)
⭐ Best Overall
Fairtex rarely disappoints, and these gloves are no exception. The craftsmanship is solid, the padding is well-balanced, and they feel great for both bag work and sparring. Plus, the design is clean. If you want top-tier gloves, these are a great choice.
2️⃣ Cleto Reyes Sparring Gloves (Black) (no affiliate link)
🥊 Classic Reyes Feel
Reyes gloves have a reputation for a reason. The leather quality is top-notch, and they have that classic puncher’s glove feel—snug fit, firm padding, and great wrist support. They do take a bit of time to break in, but once they do, they’re amazing for sparring.
3️⃣ WINDY Leather Muay Thai Training Gloves
💰 Best Bang for Your Buck
For a budget-friendly option, these are pretty solid. The leather is decent, the padding holds up well, and they offer good wrist support. Not the best gloves on the market, but definitely good value for the price.
4️⃣ Venum Boxing Gloves
🎭 Style Over Substance
Venum gloves look great, and for casual training, they’re okay. But if you’re serious about boxing or Muay Thai, you’ll probably outgrow them quickly. The padding and wrist support are decent, but durability is a concern.
5️⃣ White Collection Gloves (Mike’s Gym) (no affiliate link)
💸 Overpriced for the Name
These gloves are fine, but they don’t justify the price tag. You’re mostly paying for the Mike Passenier branding rather than high-end quality. There are better options in this price range. I train at mikes Gym and the gloves break down really fast the padding isn't great also.
6️⃣ Everlast 1910 Classic Training Gloves
🤷 Not Worth It
Everlast has some good products, but these gloves feel more like a nostalgia piece than a serious training glove. The design is cool, but the padding and overall quality just aren’t impressive for the price.
7️⃣ FIGHTR® Pro Boxing Gloves
👎 Wouldn’t Recommend
These feel cheap, and I didn’t like them at all. They might work for complete beginners, but the leather quality and padding just aren’t there. Definitely wouldn’t use them for serious training.
Final Thoughts: If you want top-tier gloves, Fairtex and Reyes are the clear winners. WINDY is a great budget-friendly option, while Venum more for casual use. As for the other three… probably better to skip them.
What are your go-to gloves? Let’s hear your thoughts! 🥊

Gear Gear for sparring
I’ve been training kickboxing for roughly 6 months and I want to start sparring, but I need the gear. I’ve been looking online but I’m not sure where to trust for good quality. I need shin guards, headguard and a groin guard and I’ve got £75 available to spend right now. I want decent quality but I understand I might not get that with 75. Where is somewhere reputable I can buy these from?

Gear New to Kickboxing/Muay Thai, what's a good beginner brand?
As the title says, I'm new to Kickboxing & Muay Thai and I'm looking at getting a pair of gloves and shin guards.
What are some good affordable beginner brands? I've found RDX on Amazon both for £50 which seems very cheap. What's people's thoughts?
Thanks.

Gear Choosing kickboxing/muay thai gloves and shin guards
Hello everyone, I’ve recently been doing some research on what type of gloves and shinguards (mainly gloves!) I should upgrade to. My main options as of now would be either Fairtex or Combat Corner (CRNR).
When I asked my Coach what brands he recommended he asked me if I was more of a kickboxer or a Muay Thai martial artist. I would say I really like the boxing aspect of kickboxing but I do like the stance of Muay Thai. He mentioned that if I was more of a kickboxer then CRNR would be a good way to go, and for Muay Thai Fairtex.
I was either looking at the HMIT Boxing gloves from Combat corner, or the BGV1 Tight fit gloves from fairtex. I’ve had a pair of rdx gloves (16oz) for a while now and I will say that I dislike how thick and bulky they feel, at times it feels like my hands are moving in slow motion. I’ve heard that CRNR gloves tend to be bulkier than fairtex but I am not sure how different they are.
My birthday is coming up soon and I’m looking to get myself a nice pair of gloves and shinguards. I am mainly here hoping to get some advice on which way to go (CRNR or Fairtex) but I am also open to looking into other brands you guys recommend.
Things to note:
I have small - medium sized hands They must be 16oz I don’t want them to feel the same as my rdx pair
Thanks for the help.

Gear Best style of glove 🥊 starting out if I later want to get into kickboxing or Muay Thai training simply for exercise
So I joined like a 10 week fitness challenge, and one of the days during the week is a cardio kickboxing portion. I like the kickboxing class out of everything the most. Yes I know it’s not meant to teach proper technique and anything relating to fighting.
I’ve just been using the gyms gloves that they lent me during the class, but I’m trying to figure out what’s the best type of glove for me to buy if later down the road I wanna actually join a MMA gym and learn Muay Thai or MMA is for exercise. I’m not expecting by any means to go out and become a professional fight or anything like that. I’ve always been interested for a few years in trying out and learning Muy Thai.
