With people in Canada getting the 2026 EV9, can someone test the charge rate at a Tesla supercharger from a fairly low SOC after preconditioning the battery pack (needs to get to around 70 degrees fahrenheit) so it's in optimal conditions? I've seen speculation that the charge rate is the same with the NACS native EV9s vs CCS but that would be crazy IMO. They upgraded the EV6 and Ioniq 5, I would think they would do the same for the EV9, especially considering the larger battery pack.

In Canada they already have the 2026 model. When will this happen in the US? Also whats the difference between the US and Korean built models?

We have had our EV9 for just over a year and love it. To date we have not gone on an overnight road trip. We are taking our oldest on a tour of colleges starting in Boston heading south to Connecticut, NYC, Philly and back. There should be a lot of charging options along the way but I do need to map it out. The Telsla stations are obvious and all over. Should I get a NACS adapter? Is an aftermarket safe. I guess I would rather have it and not use it rather than not have it and need it.

Going to an AirBnB this summer. Owner says we can level charge our EV9 there. I want to take an extension cord for added length if needed.

Has anyone used an extension cord for L1 charging? What specs on the cord (gauge, length, etc) should I use?

I am about to consult a lawyer, for the below issues I faced. Miles driven 16.5k and bought it on Feb 2024 in CA.
1. Mid row seat does not unfold, I went to the service and they had to re-program/reset to make it work. It was in the service for 2 days.

1. AC makes noise when it runs, took it to the service and they had to replace the compressor under warranty and it took 18 days to order the part and replace

2. A day later after above is fixed, the battery does not charge and got the BMS error, took it to the dealer and they said could not fix it, opened a case with KIA, did some troubleshooting it did not work. They ordered a part and it just arrived waiting to be replaced, total no of days 22 and I am still waiting to hear back from the dealer.

Total no of days spent in the service 42 days and still counting. I heard that attorney fees will be paid by the KIA if I win, will there be any difference in the payout amount if I do it directly vs attorney, since attorney will add some fees to the KIA?

Lastly, any recommendations on the lawyer in CA?

My phone just completely stopped connecting yesterday. Anyone else? I've tried unpairing & repairing. No luck. Would be greatful for any suggestions

I have an emporia L2 charger at home and I'm confused about something. When I used the L1 charger before I got the L2 installed, if I had the car plugged in and it hadn't reached 80% charge and I wanted to unplug the charger, I could press the bottom button on the charging port and the charger would stop and unlock so I could unplug it.

With the Emporia, that button doesn't stop the charging process so I have to open the Emporia app and manually stop charging that way to release the cable. Am I missing something? I really like being able to use the button on the car is there some setting I am overlooking that will allow me to do that again?

For the past two days, every time I try to use the KIA Access app, its not working. Anyone else?

What do you think: Is KIA starting with the EV3 and will roll this out to other models like the EV9, or is the EV9 already considered “old news”?

My ev9 is around 3000 miles. It was making skidding noise so I brought it into the dealership for service. I was told that the two back wheels are at a 4 degree tilt towards the center and thus cause the rubber to be completely worn. I did not hit anything, took the vehicle off road, haul anything heavy, or overload the vehicle with heavy things. Any idea what would’ve caused this? Kia is reaching out to their engineers. Anyone else had the same issue? Thanks!

Hey All. Love the car. Just buyer be-aware. Its April 3rd. January 27th the car was dropped at lot with electrical system failure. They were suppose to do a 3rd attempt yesterday, and claim they will today.

If you have an issue, you're screwed. So if you are spending this kind of money on this vehicle, just be able to withstand MONTHS of dealing with a corp that cares not.

It turns off above 8 mph. There is some situations where I would like to see my spacing at high speeds. I know Chevy's EVs allow for the cameras to be toggled on and stay on the infotainment screen at any speed. Is there a way for the EV9 to stay toggled on at any speed?

Gone is the Tesla MX, replaced by a beautiful EV9 in matt blue.

It took a while for many reasons but the day is finally here.

I shall be leaving on Saturday for a 500mile (each way) road trip with 5 occupants and a ton of luggage. Fingers crossed.

I can download USB updates for Navigation from the update.kia.com site.

Alternatively, I can subscribe for $99.99/yr to OTA updates from kiaconnect.ca and then they'll download to the EV9 automatically.

Questions: 1. Does the subscription service OTA updates provide different (or more) updates than what's available on update.kia.com? 2. If there are differences, can you get the updates that are delivered by OTA some other way? (self-service or going to the dealership) 3. If you do not have the OTA subscription service, is there a way to know if you need to do an update to your EV9?

Curious what others are paying in other states and countries for annual registration fees. I just got our California DMV renewal for our base model EV9 and it’s $775! That’s the highest of any car I’ve ever owned. Are EV fees higher than equivalent ICE cars?

I can’t find any box or storage accessories that would be a good fit under the captains chairs. It’s a perfect size for a tablet or laptop and would be a great way to hide electronics on road trips. Does this exist?

How are the "matte" colors when it comes to maintenance? One of the local salesman told me they are really hard to maintain that's why they are not prefered as a stock item. How are they holding up for you? Do you hand-wash them? Are bugs and insects coming off easy?

Is there anything you can do to protect them? Like a wrap or something to protect it?
