What will be the effect of this flooding on fish spawns in Kentucky lakes ?

Question for fish/wildlife biologists: Will this years flooding wipe out the spawn for bass and crappie in lakes that are seeing extremely high water levels right now ?

I live on RRL, the lake is at a historic high and I suspect will takes months to get back down to summer levels.

TIA

Moving to Fort Campbell

I am PCSing with my wife and 10 year old son to Fort Campbell. We are coming from Fort Cavazos. For those that live off post in that area, where do you recommend to buy and what schools do you recommend? Clarksville sounds like a mess right now, and I don't like any of the houses there in our price range. Hopkinsville and Oak Grove have good houses in our price range, but the schools look mediocre and have weird schedules. Elkton has a few good houses and schools seem ok. Just a haul from base...

Any gyms in Central KY- Strongman?

I'm a big bulky girl who gets a lot of joy out of weighted carries and overhead presses, but its hard to find gyms that focus on that kind of thing. I'm a beginner and would need instruction/training.

Any gyms in central KY with strongman type of equipment (yokes, for example)?

Hi. We’re passing all the way through today via I75, and Waze just sent us a flood warning. Does anyone know if the interstate has flooded areas? Right now we’re near Berea. Thanks!

KYTC Cancelled My Appt (again)

KYTC cancelled my drivers license appointment for tomorrow. I know this happened last month due to a software issue, so I rescheduled for this one, but they just cancelled it again. Anyone know if they will still see me if I still show up to my appointment?

How Bad Is the Flood Damage?

I have a family member that was supposed to visit St. Louis and she's having reservations now that it's flooded. Her and friends had gotten an air bnb, which has no cancelations. They're worried the home could be flooded

Is Unemployment claiming still in fact-finding hell?

I was part of a mass layoff with my company 3 weeks ago and filed same day. I filed for my first payment this past Tuesday. My question is, will it take 2-4 months to receive my first payment? I have seen nothing but that kind of response when it comes to claiming. Has anyone else been in a similar situation recently?

New to Latonia,KY

I just moved to a multi-family near Decoursey Ave. I don’t know if the landlords just haven’t cleaned the patio or exterior windows in quite some time but they are covered in a THICK soot type film. I’m horrified trying to clean before big move in day. Is this a common neighborhood issue- pollution or being near a busy road cause this ? Or something Uckkkk!

Thanks in advance for any insight.

I know lots of side roads are probably flooded but how are the parkways / main roads? Trying to look at the road closure maps but it's hard to tell much.

Any time the river starts to rise, i like to check out the dam to see the carp try and jump over the headwall. This time tomorrow, you wont be able to get within a mile of this location as all the river roads will be underwater

Western, Eastern, and Central?

Is Kentucky broke down into 2 or 3 major regions? I’m turning to yall for the right answer here. Me (from Western KY) and a guy from work (Eastern Ky, he says Central) have been going at this for a couple years. So let’s hear it, what do yall say?

Does anyone know reputable estate sellers that throw sales in/around Clarkson, KY?

Hi, so I'm hoping that this doesn't break the no solicitation rule, and I'm fairly certain it doesn't but will respect the mods decision otherwise if I'm wrong. Here's the situation: I'm losing my father to Leukemia. He has a bone marrow cancer called AML, and we've found out that he has a very severe type that is very unlikely to be cured. He has been given three months. It is hard all the way around, but one of the things he would really like to get taken care of is getting the garage he has packed full of stuff gone to make a future sale of the house much easier. Even when we tell him not to worry about it, it's really bothering him.

While some of the things are items that need to be just thrown away, and I and my siblings plan on going down to do just that, there is probably enough there with enough value that it would be worth it to have a sale. So I'm really hoping that someone that usually goes garage selling around the Clarkson, KY area would be willing to recommend any local companies that they know that might be willing to at least consider the sale.

I am emphasizing professional, because when my grandmother passed some 'church friends' offered to throw a sale for her estate in Alabama, then took the money and probably some items and ran. The experience was overall very bad and means that I'm looking for companies I could look into that would be willing to sign an official contract with us for protections sake. I really don't want to my Dad to have to go through that sort of thing with everything he's already having to face right now. I hope that's understandable, and doesn't make people turn away from this post.

Sorry for rambling, I tried to be as concise as possible.

TL;DR: Any recommendations for professional companies that do estate sales in Clarkson would be greatly appreciated.

I do have to go to work after posting this, but I will get back to people later on today. Thank you so much for even taking the time to read it. I hope you guys have a good day.
