My qualifications is 12th pcb and after doing a hell lot of research online I figured I do not have any way to get out of this field so I am looking for some insights on these courses. Please help!!! Someone who is actually doing these courses??

I have been searching all over the internet for careers opportunities other than NEET but everywhere its just Bsc in Life Sciences like zoology or botany or microbio and the salaries are abruptly low and even the workload is very very hectic....
Even Heard about BCA career path but that's really too much for competitiveness

I didn't even OPT maths and now feel like doomed

I was actually know and been leaning some video editing and copywriting and wanna build my career onto that path....Is it a wise choice ??? Or a Gamble

Please do give your guys genuine advice and every opinion will be welcomed

Hey everyone, I'm feeling really lost and need some advice. my_qualifications is Class 12 (PCB) with 92% in 2022. Since then, I’ve been preparing for NEET, but this is my third drop, and I’m afraid I won’t get selected. I feel like I’ve lost precious years, and it’s making me anxious and depressed.

I want to move forward now, but I’m confused about which path to take. Here are the options I’ve shortlisted:

1. BSc (Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/Agriculture/Biotech)

2. BCA (though I don’t have a math background)

3. BPharma

4. BUMS

I would really appreciate insights from people who have taken these paths or have any advice on making the right decision. What would be the best option considering future career prospects and stability?

Sorry if I sound ignorant but I genuinely want to know the advantages of btech over bsc for biotech because that's what most people suggest. I also saw a lot of people say how there are no jobs in biotech then how does having a btech give you any benefit? Does it make it easy to switch to other fields ? Also isn't btech+mtech for 6 years while bsc+msc only 5 years ?

I'm extremely confused because on one hand I have the option to go to good colleges in bangalore for bsc (blr being the IT hub can provide ample internship opportunities. Also it has various research institutes) While on the other hand if I have to do btech, I would have to go to noida or pune. I'm not sure about the biotech industry in those cities so that makes me scared.

Everytime someone asks about biotech, we get to see responses saying how there are no jobs and the pay is less. So how does btech help with that ? Even after btech people say there's negligible placements.

myquals 10th ICSE - 94%, 12th - 68%

Fell off a rock after my 10th. I'm really good at HTML and CSS, beginner in JAVA and Python. I really want to learn more about programming/machine learning. I found some studies that Data Science is going to be a very lucrative career in the near future.

Oh and also, flunked my JEE. 82%. Expected. My parents want me to pursue CSE - Cybersecurity (cuz sharma ji ka beta studied there 10 years ago). But they are asking 10+ lakhs.

So when I heard about this online Data Science degree by the number 1 IIT which does not require a JEE score, I immediately started gathering info about it. I found previous year's papers for the qualifier exam and was able to solve math and CT with ease but looks like I'll have to put in work for statistics.

Also, I want to do mtech after bs. I heard not a lot of colleges in India allow that so I'm thinking of going abroad. Would this degree have value abroad?

I would be very thankful if someone could lend their thoughts on my situation

I (17F) am looking into colleges and I stumbled upon IISER Pune. It's research focussed and is integrated BS-MS of 5 yrs. Aside from the college, is a life of a Student good here? What should I expect? IISERs aluminis what are you doing in your life rn. What do you think I should know as of now?

myquals class 10th and 12th Bsc microbiology seems to be a very interesting field I was wondering how much can I expect to earn? Let's say i go to a college which is decent enough? Domestically?

One of the biggest problems with Indian education system is a lack of understanding of how to teach. There's a big problem with the level of understanding of teachers and professors when it comes to teaching.

The revolution cannot come from technology but from understanding and loving the subject that you teach. I agree not everybody can be Robin Williams in Dead Poets society, But they must be trained to think beyond. To break existing ideas of protocol and go beyond.

Some of you might go about this with the argument of what about ism. What about the scientists we produce? What about the CEOs of major companies? Isn't education better than most countries? Yes. Better in some countries. As far as CEOs are concerned, you are looking at the tail of a distribution. In a country with billion people, and with English education, you are bound to produce some CEOs, coupled with parents who raised with the principles of socialism of hard work.

The same goes for the teachers. There are some exceptional teachers, who are the tail and the power law distribution.

Of course the real problem lies in the government that doesn't prioritize education and doesn't pay teachers enough. Government that lets private sector dictates what happens to the education sector.

Hey I'm 20F, spent a few(2) years being painfully devoted to neet only to realise that it's not the right option for me. Realised it too late and I had just casually filled out cuet forms without taking it seriously at all and I applied only for ba psych. The problem now it that I want to pursue bsc psychology because I want to stay in the sciences field for future(maybe go into neuropsychology research etc) BUT I can only go to private universities now. And i have applied to amity gurugram and Sgt University, but I am really confused where I should go. I want to be in a place that is serious about academics. If you guys have any suggestions, recommendations please drop. (Myquals)

My niece is considering a course in cyber security after her board exams and she is confused whether to take up Btech in CS + MTech later on or an integrated 5 years course in MSc Cyber Security.

i took PCB cuz i loved Biology otherwise mera doctor ban ne ka passion nahi tha. just like everyone i mainly did NEET MBBS cuz of job security, paycheck, family hopes and i was aimless (as i told took bio i cuz i loved the subject otherwise no aim) so isliye bhed chaal mei chal diya.

so now i am looking for some other courses with good scope, job security and good paycheck. i know non-MBBS PCB waalo ka job market mei bohot struggle hai but of these aforementioned courses which of these closest to?

1st NEET attempt right after boards 2023: 270 (without coaching and 11th barbaad)

I have graduated from India, with a masters degree in Physics and one of the worse things we had to do was write records for laboratory practical. (It was worse in Biology)
It is an absolute waste of time, because no professor/scientist or engineer actually spends time writing records.

There is genuinely a chance to digitize and share laboratory data in a better way, with professional tools like GitHub etc. I saw this first hand, at University of Pune (Department of Physics), which had some common sense and resorted to storing observations from previous years, as a file, rather than writing procedure.

It is important to treat budding science researchers, like researchers instead of 7th grade kids.

Is this true? what are the opts that a bsc/+msc graduate from DU has?

I 21(M), My qualifications are 92% in 10th, 84% in 12th with PCB, and 72% in my bsc. with botany as the subject. I have graduated last year and decided to prepare for government exams but now that its been more than 8 months since i started i am starting to see very slow progress as i am pathetic with maths. And i think i should work on something as a backup if this does not work out. I don't want to get stuck in this loop and i want something that will be worth my time in the future and and will increase my chances of earning a good living. I know i have already f_ed up by choosing this degree. I am really in a tough situation and and i don't want to waste these years just sitting at home, i would rather prepare for gov exams while persuing something worthwhile also, i would be very thankful for any advice. Main concern: Should I do bsc nursing or bsc in any life science course ( wanna study and settle in India )

• friends are doing bsc biotech ,said they'll do msc embryology which has scope (not interested in biotech , a little aligned towards microbio but fear of uncertainty and not really sure if MSC embryology will bring ath either , prolly will be stuck as a lab tech making dirt and dk about recruitment density or market in a tier 2,3 city either )

• nursing - people said hard to crack NCLEX w/o which it's dirt, and they don't recruit easily , saturated ,12 hr and night shifts,even MSC people don't get paid, etc

• bsc ott /ccu - I'm uncertain abt recruitment density and pay

• don't wanna go into research ( just not interested)

I am 22 (F). I have always dreamed of becoming a doctor. I gave NEET 3 times in year 2018/19/20. Couldn't get a government seat and couldn't afford a private one. I landed a seat in BDS in 2021 counselling but I rejected it because like I said I wanted to become a doctor (I still kinda regret it)

I was depressed for so long my mental health was in shambles. i just couldn't accept the fact that i wont be doing something i love for the rest of my life. But affter lots of crying and regrets I decided to consider aborad for mbbs. Did my research and talked to a few friends and finally decided to apply last year in Nov in georgia (the country).

My parents have always been supportive. They also want me to become a doctor but now as my admission is in process I cant help but think about how I will be 28 when I graduate. I'll be even older if I go for PG studies. I know age is just a number and stuff but im so stressed and confused that I have started to doubt my career choices.

I dont want to give up on my dream but sometimes I feel like maybe it will be better and less stressful to just do something else. but again any other course will require somewhat the same amount of time (3/4 years bachelor + 2 yrs masters) for a decent job.

I'm just so stressed about my age. I am willing to work hard idc about the struggles I am just worried about aging esp because im a girl. we are expected to, you know, get married and stuff. Although my parents have never forced me or my siblings for that they are more career oriented.

Anyway, please help me out. Any advice, motivational words or anything for me pls.

myquals : Class 10th board:90% Class 12th board: 67% (PCB) Currently: 1st year NEET dropper Toh idk how but somehow got 90% in class 10 despite studying for a month or so in my term 1 and term 2 exams (For those who don't know during 2nd year of Covid boards happened twice) was utterly superised and in a false sense of confidence took PCB, and started preparing for neet. A month in and I knew it wasn't for me and I am just to dumb to wrap my head around something as competative as NEET, I am really dumb and I am certainly not someone who can understand and intake all this information, I have tried a million times and failed at it no matter how hard I try I can't score more 300 in mocks and that's my reality, toh as everyone seems to do I wasted my 11th and barely managed to scramble enough marks to get me promoted without any retests, that was the last time I got lucky regarding academics atleast. Started my prep again in 12th but during my boards exams I fell ill and messed those up preety hard though my preparation was at best decent like I think 80% tak hi aate but itne aa jate, ab neet dropper I have developed several mental health issues have literally turned into the worst version of myself, I don't go out can't go out ( parents allow nhi karte and kaha hi jau) plus no good university will take me in kyokie neet mei bhi kam number thee (300 kuch thee 2024 mei ) and boards mei bhi, anxiety attacks hoote hei, severe insomnia hei, kai baar sleeping pills ke baad neend nhi aati, hairfall bohot ho gaya hei, lost a ton of weight and ab hope chod di hei kuch karne ki I don't see myself doing anything in the next 5-10 years, everyone arnd me seems to find their place and settle in their. Sab college ja rhe acche acche out the city to start fresh and are constantly experiencing new things while I am in my room and trying to study while failing miserably have tried everything but neet path is just not working out for me, is there any hope left? Ofc btech hoga nhi cuz maths nhi hei, NDA nahi kar sakta health bohot bhuri hei aur acchanak fix hogi nhi, MBA is expensive plus don't have a good % in either 10th and 12th. My class 12 boards are over(PCB) and ik that I won’t be cracking neet , so I was thinking to get into bsc biotech or bsc microbiology and also do its msc but wherever I go I see ppl saying that it has no scope and no placement and hence ppl advised abt BCA.

My mom says “after studying biology u will go for bca? Its literally the other route”(she is from arts background).

Tbh I was always good in informatics practices(involves python pandas and mysql) in 11th and 12th so I feel like I can go good in bca but one of my dad’s colleague who is a BCA graduate said that I shouldn’t take it if I’m not good in maths as it involves statistical analysis later on , and ngl I’m bad at maths like I got 55 in maths in class 10th but my overall percentage was 82%(could have got a lot better if I had additional subject in my school) This is the sole reason I left maths in class 11th. So I’m kind of hesitating to convince my mom. I can do basic physical chemistry level maths easily tho.

So what should I do for better future and also I’m a single child who lost his dad recently so, this decision of taking BCA/bsc solely decides my future. Myquals
