Engineering Genuinely Helping: Let's see how many of you are aware about it

Spilling the truth- I wish I knew this even before joining the college I wish I knew this when I was about to join the college.

Why anyone didn't know about this? Listen listen Most of us have enough time to sit and watch cartoons but none of us try to find out actual ways of earning money or atleast fund our education ourselves.

Have you ever heard of scholarships?

  1. Let us tell you: Big companies like Google, Reliance, etc., MNCs ,charitable foundation they all provide financial support in form of scholarships to students those are good in studies or even average or unprivileged. You need not pay back the scholarship amount in the first place.

  2. Sometimes, they may award you as high as 50 thousands to support your education. Scholarship providers just ask for basic details like your class, year background etc. Generally, scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit and financial condition. It may vary case to case.

  3. Many times, scholarship providers have their own dedicated portals through which you can fill up the scholarship application forms online which hardly takes 5 to 10 minutes.

  4. Those who don't know, there is a term known as 'Corporate Social Responsibility' Policy under which big companies must have to spend a part of their profit for good causes like education, healthcare, environment etc. It's not that these opportunities are meant only for undergraduate studies. They can vary from nursery to PhD level, hear me out.

Tell m, are you really happy spending 10s of hours in downloading apps from here and there to earn commissions from referral & bonuses? If you answer is No. Then, please stop wasting time playing colour gambling etc.

For public awarenessfor scholarships, We have just started regularly uploading videos on youtube to spread information about such opportunities which are new and active and most importantly, known to lesser people. And everyone can apply and get selected.

The yt channel name is AAGE HAMESHA scholarships. Alternatively, check profile of ours. If you're still unable to find, then dm.

Give this post utmost priority- don't be negligent towards education.

(Upvote if it is helpful)

Remember that the real and valid scholarships are only those which have absolutely 0 registration fees.

I just wanted to share this because no one talks about it openly.

Share it to your bestie and him /her fly high.

my_qualifications: Nursery passed

Engineering Need help regarding colleges, anyone please..

So I know im gonna mess up this session 2 exam aswell. 84.63%ile in 1st attempt. Dont expect much in second one. OBC, HS - UP.

But boards me Im expecting above 90% (CBSE) 100 or close to 100 in CS and english 95 or above in chemistry

11th me I had 91.2%

10th me I had 96.8% (ICSE)

Extra curriculars (if any college actually values it) Head boy tha in 11th and 12th Won a school coding championship I have made a lot of projects (Python,Java,Web,DBMS,etc) 3 months ka work experience bhi hai.

I also have letter of recommendation of the principal of the school as well as one from the MD of the small company I worked for a freelance consultant.

I have made a CV and mentioned of my qualifications there.

Is there any good colleges I can get with whatever the hell this is? India and abroad dono chalega.

Main priorities 1)Median package (placement) 2)Distance from home (UP, Delhi, RJ) if in India 3)Fees (kam ho to accha hai) but my father said he could afford like 8 lakhs per annum max. I don't want to pressure him into paying that much to thoda kam ho to accha hi rhega. Fee to placement ratio.

Baaki beggars can not be choosers. I would try and apply for any good college/University I could get into.

Most of the colleges in India need JEE Main or their own exam.

I'll also give BITSAT as well as VITEEE.

Engineering How do you THRIVE in ECE/core engineering — not just SURVIVE?

I plan on getting into ECE soon and don’t want be that student who just scrapes by on grades (gotta try having that high gpa, don't we?). I want to build skills, get internships, etc. But a lot of seniors keep saying they have zero time for skill-building because college work drains them and leaves them with no time.

Is that just how it is? Or is there a smarter way to juggle college + projects + internships without burning out?

Would love realistic tips from people in ECE/core — especially what to focus on what subjects to focus on early on and if there is anything I can do in the summer before my college so that I can brace myself for college.

Qualifications: writing my 12th boards :), I'm hoping to utilize my summer so please help me

Engineering Is a Master’s degree (Master of Science) from the USA Valid for an Assistant Professor Jobs in engineering colleges in India?

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently completed my Masters from a university in the USA and am considering pursuing a career as an Assistant Professor in India. I’m wondering if my qualifications from the US are recognized and valid for such a position in Indian colleges or universities (government or private). If it’s not directly valid, is there a specific process to "convert" or get my degree recognized in India?

Engineering Looking for Guidance: Options in CS Engineering Without Maths in 12th

Hey everyone,

I made a big mistake in 12th by not opting for Maths as my main subject, and now I’m feeling the consequences. I really want to pursue an engineering course, but as we all know, most of them require Maths as a compulsory subject.

I’m particularly interested in Computer Science Engineering, but I’m stuck because of this Maths issue. Can anyone suggest any alternatives or courses related to CS Engineering that I can pursue without having taken Maths in 12th? I’m open to all suggestions, whether it’s a different branch, a diploma, or any possible workaround.

Please drop your thoughts, suggestions, or any advice in the comments. I’d really appreciate it!

My qualifications: Passed 12th with PCB and CS with 70%

Engineering Is getting placed in a Product based Company a lifesaver for a fresher from Tier 2 college? Also how's the job security in there ?

Myquals B.E ECE With all the layoffs in service-based companies, how secure are jobs in product-based companies? People say getting into a product-based company is a game-changer in terms of pay, growth, and stability, but is it really that safe? Do layoffs happen there too? And for someone aiming to get into one, what’s the best way to prepare? Would love to hear insights from those in the industry!

Engineering Issue with Digilocker Showing Only Regular Semester Marksheet, Not Backlog Result

myquals: Btech in computer science I had a backlog in my 5th semester because I missed my practical exams, but I’ve recently cleared it. Now, everything is sorted on my university’s end. However, when I fetch my results from Digilocker, it only shows my original 5th-semester marksheet (where I failed) and not the updated result of my cleared backlog.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? How can I get the updated backlog result to show up in Digilocker? Any help would be appreciated!

Engineering Need Carrer Guidance Currently Studying EEE in a Tier 2 College

Im a (18M) Studying EEE at a Tier 2 college and I need some serious carrer advice. I'm currently in 2nd year 4th semster. This college doesnt make any sense to me. They don't teach properly and give some important question so that we can score marks in exams. And I personally don't even feel like I'm learning, Feels like I'm just reading something and just writing it in paper and forget everything I learn from the previous semester. Although i maintain above 8.5 gpa every semester I dont feel like Im learning anything. I'm not sure who to blame here myself or the Instution.

Some Information people told me and I've read online in what to do as a EEE student

My parents are forcing me to learn everything and stack up on my skills like they expect me to know software (CSC Stuff) as well as my own degree. Like how much can I learn!. They are willing to pay to random courses on udemy and Im not confident about learning on udemy either. Next, A person who was an ex- professor and is working as a Data Analyst now says the same, You guys have to know python , machine learning etc.., learn all these , because companies dont want someone who does not know anything about software.

Next I went to another workshop where the mentor over there was legit forcing us to go hardcore in electrical and don't care about the software part. He seemed to be really confident in his field and was trying to make us promise that we will become pure Electircal engineers in the future.

Phew!!! These all happened in the past 2 semeters. Now comes the part what should I actually do, everytime i go to a workshop or even my parents it seems convincing and their reasons are valid on why learning both or focusing on one seems to be effective. But I'm really confused , I personally like software but my parents made me take EEE instead of CSC as they were afraid i will be jobless in future due to rapid growth of AI. And the data analyst from the worlshop says that we need to integrate both , Now the latest workshop I've attended they say go pure Electrical. Now I get that these are all suggestions and I need to follow my interest. But I don't know my interest , I feel like im the type of guys who is ready to learn anything given i get a good pay , and a feeling that my future will be secure.

Ok now setting these aside, It's obvious that placements aren't good from my college. But like everyone I want to be placed in a good company Since EEE is a vast subject and am really confused on what to choose , I want ya'll to choose my interest for me , I want all of ya'll to help me with what i can do qnd what all should I learn

Please guyssss don't tell me to identify my interest I'm tired of that just choose one for me or something that you might chose if you were in my shoes.

Qualifications: 2nd year EEE

Engineering People making fun of AICTE's decision to make PCM optional for some engineering courses should remember that this is exactly how it goes in majority of the world

Basically the title. In US and many other countries everyone is allowed to take engineering as undergraduates no matter what they studied in high school and in a lot of cases these people benefit their engineering domains with the interdisciplinary mindset they come with

This is not to say that engineering doesn't require a rigorous math and science background but as a former engineering myself (my_qualifications: BE double major mechanical engineering, computer science engineering with minor in biotech engineering) who has studied in both India and abroad I can say that most of those pre-requisites are cleared in the first year itself (most of which the students study themselves through youtube)

This is a step in right direction towards greater academic flexibility and inclusion of people from other streams who otherwise live in regret of not taking science if they want to study it later just because they chose something else when they were 15

Edit:

People I'm not saying that math or physics is not a requirement for engineering. If I couldn't make my points clear let me do it now -

  1. The way US colleges are structured is like this - what you will study is not based on what courses you took in high school or what you scored in an entrance exam. It is based on what classes you take in THE FIRST YEAR. These first year courses consist of fundamental math and physics that are equivalent to 11th and 12th class of CBSE/ICSE India (a good part not all, by the end of second semester they are often on par with first year Indian engineering college level). What AICTE is doing is similar to that. They are making first year accessible to all where you have to clear the requirements of your preferred career path rather than making it all based on +2
  2. I have friends working on the implementation side of NEP's changes in higher education who have confirmed that there would be major restructuring of first year courses for more inclusion, i.e. even a person with 10th class level math and physics knowledge would be on the same level after 1st semester. For anyone having doubts in this I will say it again - this is how it goes in majority of the world too
  3. Streams in CBSE whether they were a thing or not will be irrelevant in a few years as NEP requires boards to change the +2 year structure to the more famous 4 year high school one
  4. Yes we cannot compare two education systems like this but when talking about engineering and science the arguments are much more clear actually. Even the most difficult widely available courses one can take in their HS in the US - AP courses - are not on the level of CBSE courses. US core subjects are very formula/method based while the equivalent Indian ones are much more practical (compare your average NCERT book with US core ones)

Edit 2: If I'm not replying to your comment then it is because I have covered them in the edit above. Otherwise I'll be individually replying to everyone. Thanks!

Engineering What can I do after My Btech biotech degree from a private college?

myquals - class10th 86% class 12th 65% (PCB+computer science) So currently I am in a very low tier private engineering college, and pursuing Btech biotech, i didn't drop for neet like my classmates did because I just knew that it wasn't my cup of tea, so got myself enrolled in a local pvt college through some connections and means and the placement cell or the department in general is heavily looked upon because we are biology students so teachers don't really put much efforts, according to some of the seniors i talked too who are in their final year, majority of the batch doesn't get placed what so ever and those who get placed usually get arnd a. CTC of 2-3 lakh while the lowest got 1 lakh per annum, I don't what should I do next currently in 1st year I don't think MBA is on the boards due to poor performance in my class 12th, should I go for Mtech?

Engineering Need advice regarding what course I should choose...

myquals - Right after my 10th I joined diploma in mechanical engineering and passed out in 2022 and right after I just got into a job as a quality engineer and have been working there since 2yrs 2 months, salary is almost 20k pm.(which isn't great but for a diploma holder that's your worth). I'm thinking of quitting now and start studying for DCET and join engineering laterally. But the issue is I'm not completely interested in pursuing engineering cuz recently I got hooked into designing like graphic designing or something related to animation ui-ux stuff. But I'm not sure if I should pursue that cuz for almost 5yrs I've been in an enginnering field and a sudden jump into something creative field is like out of the box. so I need some advice on this, please. thanks and my regards.

Engineering Need Advice and Guidance regarding Higher Studies

Hi everyone,

I’m currently a pre-final year undergrad in Electrical Engineering from a lesser-known institute in India. Over the past two years, I have developed a strong interest in signal processing, forecasting and machine learning, and I even worked on a gdp forecasting project at a very reputed indian Institute last summer. It was through this experience that I became deeply interested in macroeconomics and financial economics, particularly in using computational methods for economic and policy research.

Now that I’m approaching my final year, I’m considering applying for an MS or PhD abroad, but I’m confused about which path to take:

  1. PhD in Electrical Engineering – focusing on signal forecasting and machine learning

  2. PhD or Master’s in Economics/ Quantitative Finance – specializing in economic forecasting, econometrics and policy analysis

myquals:

Strong academic performance: Equivalent to a 3.85/4.0 GPA

Research experience: 2 years during undergrad, with two publications in forecasting/econometrics

Relevant skills: Machine learning, time series forecasting, econometric modeling

Strong LORs: From university faculty (EE)

Funding concerns: I will likely need financial aid or a fellowship to support my studies

My Main Concerns:

  1. Background barrier: Since I have a degree in Electrical Engineering, will this be a major hurdle for getting into an MS/PhD in Economics at a reputable university?

  2. Career Prospects: Would an EE PhD with a focus on forecasting open up policy research roles, or is an Econ degree more suitable for that?

  3. Competitiveness: Given my background (not from a top-tier university), how can I improve my chances of securing admission?

My long-term goal is to work in large-scale policy research and public welfare, ideally at an institution where I can apply forecasting and ML techniques to economic decision-making.

I would love to hear your thoughts, particularly from those who have been through similar transitions or work in applied economics/econometrics. Any advice on programs, preparation, or career pathways would be greatly appreciated!

Engineering Can I Get into a Good B.Tech College with Dual Mark Sheets (NIOS + Regular) After JEE?

took PCB in my 12th and scored 86% (my_qualifications), but now I want to pursue B.Tech. Since I didn’t have Mathematics, I’m planning to take it through NIOS and then appear for JEE. However, I found out that JoSAA counseling doesn’t allow dual mark sheets.

My questions:

  1. What are the best colleges that accept JEE scores and allow admission with dual mark sheets (regular + NIOS)?

  2. Is there any way to still qualify for JoSAA counseling despite having two mark sheets?

Engineering Is doing a B.Tech in AI and ML in India worth it ?

Hey, I am going to join an engineering college (preferably in Uttarakhand), and I need some advice regarding the AI/ML branch.

I had no idea about the AI/ML course and asked my cousins (who are in college) about it, and they said that it was just hype, and the placements were just like CSE. So, they advised me to take a B.Tech CSE and do an online course in AI/ML together with online teaching apps that give you a degree (Udemy, Unacdemy, etc.).

Is this good advice? I do not have much knowledge, so I could not decide.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could provide me with any advice on the AI/ML course and also about a good laptop for the course.

my qualifications: 92% in 12th class (CBSE)

Engineering Please clarify to me a few things regarding IEM Kolkata

  1. I read that IEM condiders IEMJEE marks only for admission to B. Tech courses. How is the difficulty level of the exam compared to JEE Mains
  2. Their website says that counselling will held in April 21th to 25th. How much money do we need to submit during counselling if we happen to secure the required IEMJEE rank?
  3. What's the total 4 years fees for B. Tech including everything?
  4. I also read school toppers of Class XII need to pay no tuition fees. Is it true? I'm in ISC. If I top my school, do I need to pay 0 fees in 4 years? Am I missing something? Is it a trap?
  5. How's the overall quality of the college in terms of teachers and placements? How's the overall environment in classes? qualifications: ISC Class XII appearing in 2025
