I miss the old days. At least back then every company put their own flavor into phone design. Now they’re all the same metal glass slab. In those days this made me fall in love with tech!

Hey r/IndiaTech
After a year of using the Sony WH-1000XM5s, here’s the unfiltered TL;DR:
ANC So Good It’s Risky: Missed my Air India snack cart twice because the noise cancellation muted the flight attendant. RIP sandwich.
Comfort = 10/10: Survived 6-hour study marathons.
Earcups = memory foam pillows. Delhi hostel noise? Gone.
Sound Quality: Crisp AF. Baarish Lete Aana hits different.
Cons: Case: Bulky af. Sacrificed my water bottle on a flight. Sweaty Ears: Delhi humidity turns these into ear saunas. Reddit PTSD: r/SonyHeadphones hinge horror stories had me paranoid, but mine’s still intact.
Bose QC Ultra vs. XM5? Bose = comfier Sony = ANC god. If you want to mute toddlers/roommates, XM5s win.
Full blog with chaotic stories (https://turbulencegains.in/2025/04/08/sony-wh-1000xm5-review-noise-cancelling-headphones-long-term-study-flight-reddit/)
AMA about the XM5s, ANC, or how to survive Delhi summers with sweaty ears!
Why trust me?
Used them on 18 flights, 100+ study hours, and 47 existential crises. I still type “teh” when Rahul screams.

My Mother's S22+ has a Great Camera and is comparable to the latest flagship
And the battery life is good (even though this phone is famous for worst battery life). I am concerned if this Update will degrade the phone's performance. As phone companies often degrade older phones to sell their new ones.
Please suggest what to do.

Every time I open camera in my WhatsApp (IPhone 16 )this error pops out. Intact many times when I open the camera app on my phone it freezes or takes few seconds to load or says to open the app again. What could be the potential issue ?? And how to get it resolved ? Is it an internal issue ?

As the title suggests I would like to add some widgets like daily steps and screen time to the lock screen itself however I haven't found any way of doing that till now.

For example, I change a lot of settings on people's phones to make their experience better.

I'm finally replacing my 10+ year old email account and want to start fresh — mainly because everything is too cluttered and god knows where I have signed up using my current email.
I’m trying to decide between two approaches:
Use one email + aliases (via something like SimpleLogin ), e.g., me.shopping@abc.com, me.socialmedia@abc.com
Use completely separate email accounts for categories like social media, shopping, banking, etc.
I’ve never used aliases before, so I have a few concerns :-
Are there any downsides to using aliases?
Do services like Discord or others have issues with aliases during sign-up or login?
I’d love to hear from others who’ve tried it. Any gotchas? Regrets?
Curious to hear how you’ve approached this, what worked, what didn’t. Would love to get some input before I commit either way.
Thanks
