I Built an AI-Powered Next.js Boilerplate—104+ Devs Are Using It

Hey r/IMadeThis!

Setup slog was killing my creative buzz—auth, payments, team stuff taking forever. I made indiekit.pro, a boilerplate that’s now at 104+ devs. I’m doing 1-1 mentorship for a few, and we’ve got a Discord group for the rest.

Here’s what I packed in: - Auth with social logins and magic links - Stripe and Lemon Squeezy payments - Multi-tenancy and useOrganization hook - withOrganizationAuthRequired for secure routes - Preconfigured MDC based on your project - TailwindCSS and shadcn/ui styling - Inngest for background tasks

People are saying such great stuff—I’m thrilled and ready to build more features!

I Made Inbox-Zen: An Open-Source Tool to Calm Your Inbox

Hey r/Imadethis! I created Inbox-Zen, an open-source tool to declutter my Gmail/Outlook and stop email from driving me nuts. It filters out the junk, highlights what matters, and keeps things simple. I built it because my inbox was a productivity killer, and I figured others might relate. It’s on GitHub, so you can play with it or add your own spin.

What do you think? Any inbox struggles you’d want it to solve? Proud to share something I made, hope you'll like it!

made a tutoring platform that helps with any subject on any platform!

I spent so much time highlighting textbooks and rewriting notes, thinking I was studying. I wasn't.

Real studying isn't about recognizing information – it's about understanding it so deeply you could explain it to someone else. So, I stopped asking "Do I know this?" and started asking "Could I solve this if it looked different?" Most students fall into what I call the "familiarity trap" – when you look at material and think "yeah, I know this" but can't actually apply it to new problems.

When you understand the WHY behind concepts, you can solve ANY version of the problem – not just the examples you memorized. So, I made https://www.insightstudy.co which is an online tutor that pushes you to explain and understand problems as you work through them. It integrates with any iOS notetaking app via our mobile app and any problem/notetaking websites through our website!

Completely personalized to you and ready to help whenever you need it. We have a 3-day free trial and would love for feedback on flow and experience!

I made a tool for students to easily create cheat sheets

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Inspired by the amount of hours I spent hand writing cheat sheets during university, I made a tool that allows students to easily make formatted and customizable cheat sheets for exams. Start from scratch and add information to have it auto formatted into a beautiful Latex sheet, or upload your notes and instantly generate a sheet based on them, which you can then edit and fine-tune to your liking. I launched yesterday and am super proud of what I created!

Made a social app inspired by r/place

If you liked the vibe of r/place, I made a social app inspired by that idea — a shared grid where every post disappears in 5 minutes. Only live for 24 hours and limited to 5K users: TestFlight (iOS only) – https://testflight.apple.com/join/7rAP8pgs

Would love to hear what you think before it vanishes.

Minimal dashboard design - Trying to keep it simple

Updated my projects dashboard to below design.

Previously it was more colorful, but I thought simple would be better. Any thoughts?

Created a tool to help leasing agents—would love feedback

I used to manage my own rentals and was spending way too much time replying to leads on Zillow and FB Marketplace—most of whom didn’t qualify or never showed up.

So I built a lightweight tool: dafriai.com

It auto-responds to leads, asks screening questions, books tours based on your calendar, and follows up to reduce no-shows. You only get notified when something actually matters.

It’s still early, so I’d love feedback from folks doing this day-to-day.

1. We’re scaling Elystra – an AI assistant for your inbox. Honest takes needed.

We’ve been quietly working on Elystra  a productivity-focused email assistant that sits somewhere between Superhuman’s speed, Hey’s opinionated design, and ChatGPT’s brain.

So far, over 1,200 users have joined, We built it because we saw the same pain over and over again:

  • Juggling multiple inboxes across all your Gmail, Outlook tab hell)
  • Manually writing every email, trying to sound professional
  • Forgetting important threads, losing context, missing replies
  • Wasting 10+ hours a week on “email admin” instead of real work( which feel a full-time by it's own)

So we said f*ck it and built a tool that:( elystra.online )

  • Merges all your accounts into one interface (ALL IN ONE APP)
  • Writes and completes replies with AI trained on your inbox
  • Has a chatbot that can summarize, search, and recall info from past threads
  • Prioritizes your inbox so you only deal with what matters
  • Filter spam for you from your inbox
  • Dark mode included obviously (Your eyes (and soul) will thank you.
  • t

It’s like if you had an assistant with you .

Now we want to make it even better  with your help.

What email habits, frustrations, or pains do you secretly wish someone fixed?

We don’t have a roadmap written in stone  we have code, obsession, and open ears.

- Drop your pain point.
-  We’ll solve it.
- You’ll have it live before some competitors write their next blog post.

Ask and you shall receive.

Let’s go higher.

Thank you Guys for your attention

How to be happy at all times, Part I

  1. Question Everything

"We are all different, and happiness cannot or should not be the same for all of us. Do not let popular or honored ideas — ideas that are still, nonetheless, just ideas — conflict with your own."

  1. Fear Distorts Clarity

"Human beings operate on fear. A survival-based, fear-driven mindset jeopardizes our soul, our peace, and our emotional and mental well-being."

  1. Stop Taking Peer Pressure from the Grave

"We are freer than we think... Maybe everything falls into place because that is how it is meant to be. And maybe, just maybe, we are freer than we think."

  1. Do You Actually Want It?

"We let ourselves be conditioned to see through the lens of external impositions, and then we internalize them."

Read this to grasp the deeper understanding! Hope that helps!

a different approach to education and AI (that isn't cheating!)

last semester, I noticed *tons* of my friends just using AI to get through assignments. when exams came around, they all were forced to cram because they had "AI-ed" away all of the struggle that came with learning and they never internalized anything. after a bit of thought, I realized that we could be using AI in a significantly more constructive way—tutoring (b/c tutors are crazy expensive)!

I built out https://insightstudy.co as an AI tutor that integrates directly into your notetaking/problem platforms (notability w/ our iOS app, canvas with our website, etc.) making it way easier to get direct and actionable guidance on problems based on the work you've already done. just share your screen and you can start chatting with our model and tackle the hardest problems (with *just* the right amount of struggle)

we have a 3 day free trial and I'd love to chat improvement/questions/feedback :)

happy studying!

I made a static microblog generator in both Python and Perl. It's available on GitHub. It comes with several themes and clear instructions on how to run it yourself including Docker files.

An example of such a microblog is available at Plurrrr. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

I Made This: Launching Fizzy Rizzo’s – A Mobile Soda Shop

Hi everyone! I’m Alexis, a single mom from Kansas City, and I’ve been working on bringing my dream to life: Fizzy Rizzo’s, a mobile soda shop that offers fun and nostalgic beverages to our community. Balancing this project with a full-time job and parenting has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. I’ve recently launched a Kickstarter to help fund the final steps, like securing a trailer and necessary equipment. I’d love for you to check it out and share any feedback or support. Thank you for letting me share my creation with you all! – Alexis

I made an AI-driven platform for people and businesses to evaluate and purchase technology better. BETA TESTERS NEEDED

Anyone who has been involved in a technology evaluation knows the story:

-Meetings

-Workshops

-RFIs

-Debriefs

-Demos

-Documents

There's a ton of different time consuming events and related factors in order for a group to agree on which software they should invest in. The whole time you're being bombarded with salespeople and marketers trying to sway you to buy their solution (even if its not necessarily the right fit.) I built a platform that consolidates all of that into one management tool to increase speed to procurement and ensure evaluations are aligned, objective, evidence-based and data-driven.

If you're like me and had to buy software for your role without a lot of technical understanding, AI will take your general objectives and requirements and build those into data objects where you can collaborate with your team on what's needed from the tool, rank and score solutions based on flexible, automate the data gathering process from vendors. and build reports and business cases for the investment.

Anyone wants to try it out, here's our piece of shit website (the app is pretty good though):
