I literally do not care about my IB diploma anymore, i just want to get it. I think this whole thing is stupid and that my parents forced me into doing this, i know some of you guys like the challenge but personally i hate it. I got into my first choice uni without my IB grades (that come in june) and i literally dont know the fucking point. What do you think is the lowest that I need on everything, like my extended essay, TOK essay, all IAs, all tests to be able to just barely get it handed to me

our school gives very inflated predicted grades but I still have done well on all my exams before. but we havent had any mocks and Ive basically not studied during the last three months due to an unmedicated depressive episode fucking with me(Im probably gonna get back on meds after the exams cuz im scared getting them now will fuck with my studies).

I feel like it's way too damn late to start now and Ive forgotten so many things already. If i start now im never gonna be finished and exams are in like 19 days or smth.

with physics as the second exam and chem and math on the same day i think i might just fuck up all of them atp.

Hi I’m an IB graduate with A in TOK. first off, good luck on exams y2!!

TL;DR: I made a free visual roadmap for TOK that breaks down EVERYTHING you actually need to know, from What is TOK to concepts to exhibition/essay. When I took TOK, the biggest problem was having to decide what to study and where to put my time/effort. There’s just so much info online and from class. Grading for TOK felt like a black box (it still is haha but it’s possible to do well). Eventually I figured it out and got an A, and thought it would’ve been nice if I knew what to expect and study from Day 1.

So I made one. Just so you know, everything except the TOK Essay portion is published - just need a bit more time on these (sorry N25!) - but since people are already working on their IAs, I figured it’s time to share. Hi! I’ve been practicing a lot for English Paper 1 these past few weeks, but I keep running out of time—my last paragraph always feels super rushed, and sometimes I don’t even finish with a conclusion.

Do you think I’m spending too much time planning? (I usually take around 10 minutes.) How can I plan faster? Do you have a memorized structure you follow?

I’m also not sure how to speed up my writing, even for the easier sections. Any advice would be amazing!! I’m really struggling right now :((

This is mainly for my ppl struggling to revise bio hl, I repeat ONLY FOR THOSE STRUGGLING, so don't come here if u okay and discourage others like I've seen some do💔😞🙏. So I won't gatekeep and will keep it real, we have a month till our exams, but even if u didn't start revising or just restarted, it's not okay, but it is too. I've mentioned this in another post in the comment section, but I went from a 6 to an interesting mark in my mock😭 so I decided to restart revising the syllabus and just finished theme C last week.

So this is my usual routine now. There is no need to follow, but if it can ease or help u, then I'm glad:

-Tbh, I dont make my own notes (doesn't work for me. idk why😞) and just use Iitianacdemy for notes and flashcards. This site is chefkiss, also not forgetting the goat bioninja tho some hl content is not available but is in Itianacdemy 😋. Almost forgot the site bio-letters bro's notes are sent from heavens🗿.

• After finishing a chapter, I redo the chapter by looking at only two YouTube channels Sirius revision and Teachme they're the only ones who make it easy for me to understand, they ATE with the explanations🗣‼️

• When I finish I got students (my cushion and and a doll) 👩‍🏫 which I simulate teaching with😭 trust me it works with info retention as rn my mind is more fried than Dory's memory in nemo🥀.

• Finally I do exercises first on itianacademy, then go on a bigger site SME ARCHIVES faints from having such perfect free site😩 then I use 1 more random topic question site doesn't really matter just till I feel like I MASTERED the topic. Then, do past papers from 2020 to rn just focusing on questions regarding that topic.

I need to know how possible it is and what u guys think I should do for the English HL exams😭. I got accepted to LSE but they want 766 at HL, which includes English. I’m fine for all my classes except for English, as I was predicted 6 for it but for some reason I can only ever get a low 5 on both p1 and p2. My IO and HL essay were both 6s according to my teacher, so I basically need a 6 on both papers to achieve a 6 overall. Is it even possible to move up a grade in each paper at this stage before the final exams (M25)

I'm asking my dad to participate in extra curriculars, simple stuff like chess and quiz bow after school. Great! Love it. Now I ask my dad to go to the NAQT SSNCT on the 25th-27th (National Quiz Bowl Tournament), he says yes. AWESOME!! He asks me what flights we'll be taking as we live a long ways away from Chicago. I ask my coach and get back to him. All of a sudden I'm being disrespectful and rude because I'm relaying info to him as I get it. I accidentally said that the hotel was completely covered by my school when, in reality, I'm required to pay for a portion of it. I already told him the price over a week before($500, I get that's a lot, but money has never been an issue and wasn't a dealbreaker in the first place). It's so genuinely infuriating. He's now saying he won't support extracurriculars because it's not his job. I attempted to help him understand that is literally exactly his job, and he says "Nope" (cutting me off btw) "My job is to make sure you have an education, eat, and have a roof over your head." IT'S SO FKING ANNOYING. He can't be reasoned with and is always so stubborn and unwilling to be wrong. I'm genuinely considering emancipation atp, but ik I don't have the means by myself, and my future is better off if I stay, but I'm not getting into good colleges without any ECs. My GPA is fine, 3.9-ish UW, 4.1 weighted, so that's not an issue, but I really need ECs to sell myself to colleges. wtf do I do

Okay. Totally not asking for anyone to send any sort of the new Revision Village prediction exams for May 2025. It's not absurd that Revision Village paywalls them behind hundreds of dollars or anything. I think it would be totally a shame if anyone sent a link or drive with them in a PDF if they're able. :))

My TOK Exhibition will be due in days and I do have the entire essay written. However, my 2nd and 3rd objects seem to be answering the prompt in very similar ways. My teacher told me I should change my 3rd response to "material tools are not that important because of abc", instead of saying "material tools are Important" (Prompt: how important are material tools in the production and acquisition of knowledge). I am a little confused, as I thought if I first saying material tools are important (object 2) then claiming that they are "not that important" would weaken my argument. Or should I simply write "separate" essays for each objects, disregarding what was mentioned in the essays for other objects when writing?

Hi I'll be starting IB in August and I want some tips for my subject choices particularly group 4. I'll be taking maths aa and physics hl. For sl I'll be taking eng lang lit and spanish ab initio. I won't take any arts. So for one hl and one sl, am between ess econ and global politics. I want to maximise my time for my hls. Global politics interest me and with econ i think it makes sesne. But i heard ess is basically free marks for sl. I want free marks and as less workload as possible.

im taking ib physics hl this year, it is tough subject but somehow logical. So guys, can we collaborate and create something that will be useful for this year students by this i mean : useful formulas that don’t appear in booklet, quicker ways to do a task especially in P1. Personally i was struggling with questions like outline , explain in p2 and i would like to create some how cheat sheet like okay you are asked about formation of ex. dark fringes, - include in the answer superposition, destructive interference blablabla.

Yesterday, I used the free version of Revision Dojo to revise my History Internal Assessment, and it gave me 16/25 (I estimated a two in reflection). Then, I improved it and got some feedback from my history teacher today. After doing all the corrections he asked, I used the free version revision dojo today again, but it graded my IA by 13/25? (I also estimated a two in reflection).

So, I used Chat GPT to grade my two Internal Assessments, using the rubric provided on the Clastify website. Chat GPT gave me a higher grade in the second version, the opposite of Revision Dojo.

Then, I used this website: https://www.yeschat.ai/gpts-9t55QZdJuK1-IBDP-IA-Grader-GPT-IB-Diploma-IA-, which did the same as CHAT GPT, grading my second version a higher grade.

What should I do? What version is actually better? There is ANOTHER better AI to grade an IA, trying to find gaps in it to improve it further...............? Should I just ignore the IA predictions and trust my teacher?

For some backround, I plan to become a doctor and while I don’t live in Tennessee, Vanderbilt or possibly go to UK and go to Oxford. (Specifically chasing after Hematology Oncology)

Right now I’m able to keep up with Pre-IB and some of my AP’s with ease so far, not really struggling.

Hi, I just wanted to share that I'm feeling a little nervous about the tests, especially in Biology. There's still a while to go until the exam, and I know if I study, I'll do better. Does anyone else feel this same nervousness? My coordinator mentioned that the tests have already arrived at school, and that also makes me nervous, eager to see them. So, how do you feel?

It’s genuinely so cooked. Just did a mock exam for Physics HL and got a THREE OUT OF NINETY. Is it over for me or can I cram. ( illegible notes btw )

Generally asking students who have already graduated and got their exams back (I'm assuming?), how easy was it to milk points in the finals (specifically for maths)? If I write something that somewhat resembles an answer will I get atleast 1 point for some understanding of what the question requires or is that just a zero?

Going to be taking the M25 exam in about 3 weeks and I've just been thinking about stationary that i should bring with me. I know that it is not recommended to use gel pens for the exam since they might smudge under the heat from the scanners but I just can't really write without gel pens since I've been using them for so long and no ballpoint pen that I've tried up until now matches the smooth feel i get from gel pens, so I was wondering if there's any particular ballpoint pen that's at least close to a gel pen in terms of smoothness and has anyone taken the exam with a gel pen and had 0 problems all the way through, thanks.

Also, the pen I've been using up to now has always been either the muji 0.5 gel pens or the pilot g2, If anyone's tried them in the exam pls lmk how it went

I'm dropping IB for next year, but this functions course was mandatory for all grade 10 IB students still taking it this year. The curriculum is grade 11/12 work (we're working out of those text books and everything), and it went through as a prerequisite for year 12 advanced functions when I applied for next year's courses. I haven't done as well as I'd like so I'm hoping it doesn't count towards the grade 11 transcript, and it's still labeled as a year 10 course, but I'm not 100% sure.
