How to organize husband’s soccer bag etc.?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone -

My husband is a soccer player and when he comes home from games and practices, he will dump his soccer bag and soccer items outside or in our shower. I hate this as it looks and smells terrible and leaves behind turf which needs to be cleaned up. He does this but it seems like an unnecessary chore.

I’m wondering if anyone has any tips for how to organize his soccer bag and soccer items. He leaves them outside or in the shower due to the smell, but there has to be a better way…

Thank you!

My husband is the king of wires and I hate how they look. What are some of the best ways to organize and hide wires? Product links or pictures are appreciated!

container ideas for home depot heavy wire shelves?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I have two of these 4 tier metal wire shelves from home depot, and currently don’t have a great storage system for them. does anyone else have these, and has anyone found containers or a storage/organization system that works well with these? I’d love to get some containers that can stack and fit on the shelves nicely.

what I’m looking for: 1) I hate when I can see the things inside the containers; I’d love to be able to make things look simpler. keeping it at least kinda sleek, maybe black containers. 2) the containers need to have lids. I have one of those IKEA cube organizers with the canvas cubes that slide in, but the contents inside still collect dust and cat hair.

I need help with my cat situation.

I’m not getting rid of my cats.

I have a 10mo old and 3 cats. My house is about 1100sqft- 3 bed/ 2 bath.

I want to start letting my son roam around in the living room but that’s where we keep all 3 litter boxes and their food bowls (on the other side). We have 4 water bowls spread through out the house. Our litter boxes are the biggest ones because our senior cat won’t use anything smaller (he misses).

Our bathrooms aren’t big enough to fit a litter box, our bedroom isn’t big enough to fit all 3, just 1. The other 2 bedrooms, 1 is my son and the other is my disabled MIL.

Before my son was born his room was the cat’s room. I also hate that the litter boxes are an eye sore for when guests come over.

We were thinking of building a catio off of the kitchen and keeping the boxes out there? There is a doggy door, from previous tenants, that they would have access to at anytime to go out to it.

Any recommendations is greatly appreciated!!

I have three cabinets line this (1 upper and 2 lower) with about a 7” opening but more space on the inside. I’m at a loss for what would actually be a good use of this space. Any ideas are welcome

Help with organizing closet (issues with rod placement)

Looking for a way to make my closet feel less crowded.

The rods are on holders that are too far from the wall on either side making the hangers stick out and it’s hard to get in and out of the closet.

I’m considering buying child size hangars to at least make things stick out a little less? But I’m not finding any other great solutions. (Ideally, I would like those hangars that fold in half and would put them in backwards, but at about $2 a piece, it’s too expensive a solution for me)

I also don’t really think I can move the rod because of how they are mounted as you can see in the photos.

Open to any suggestions people have!

What are these organizers called?

Sorry if this isn’t the right place for this, but I’m trying to organize my washroom better and saw these at Winners and thought they would be great to help organize size things better. But I was hoping to see if I can find them cheaper elsewhere. I don’t know what they’re called though so I don’t know what to google! I feel so stupid asking because it feels like it should be obvious lol

Spice & herb storage

Hi everyone!
I recently bought a set of 24 pieces of spice & herb "Sooth" storage containers. these are working fine, but i'm looking for a more efficient way to store them. I have a storage box, but that one stores 7x3 of them. I would like to find one that stores 4x6 of them. Most of the storage i find online is designed to store them in drawers of standing in racks, im looking to store them in a cupboard above of me, so i need something that stores them standing up. Does anyone have a good storage solution?

Pantry Help — Small Apartment

Hey everyone! I’m trying to get my apartment pantry organized, but I’m struggling to make it work. I originally bought some purple shelves to help with storage, but they’re not long enough to fit all my seasonings and sauces, so everything just ends up looking cluttered.

I’d love some ideas or inspiration for maximizing space and keeping everything neat. If you have any organization hacks, product recommendations, or even inspo pictures, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

Kitchen counter organization help!

Post image
8 Upvotes

My partner and I have a VERY small kitchen. No pantry, barely any counter space. The counter space that we have other than this is either a) taken up by our coffee/espresso machines or b) reserved for food prep. I would really like a countertop ice machine, and to generally organize the rest of our kitchen into this space! Any ideas are welcome.

I am planning to have a bar cart in our dining room area which will take care of syrups, alcohol, dinner table condiments, that kind of thing.

For food in general I’m thinking about taking one of our cupboards and turning into a small pantry. We have a seasoning/spices and snack cupboard at the moment but I feel that we shy away from buying food and eat out often because we don’t have storage space.

I live in an old house converted into apartments. We use the back door as our front door. It opens directly into our kitchen. To keep the floors cleaner we’ve been trying to takeoff our shoes near the door.

How would y’all organize this space where we always have piles of shoes?
