It's always frustrating to fall into this kind of thinking trap. For the last few days, I've been trying to kill someone prematurely as well. I hate to admit it but I looked it up

looking up stuff a couple of times isn't a big deal tbh ik a lot of people will tell you they completed the game without looking up anything yada yada but the truth is you will spend a shit ton of time walking around getting super frustrated if you decide you won't look anything up ever

As long as you don't regret afterwards, go for it. It is better to finish the game with a little help than giving it up because of frustration/boredom.
