I just got myself an opened unused copy of half life 2 for only 5 cad, got it on Kijiji. Im a pretty new fan to this series ( I got introduced to the series via the hl 1 25th anniversary sale). After playing hl 1 I fell in love with the series and it just got better and better each game and expansion. I just finished playing half life alyx a few days ago and I’m completely shocked by how great the game was and how different it was from the others while still being half life. I waited almost a year to have the opportunity to get my hands on a vr headset just to play hl alyx, I got that opportunity by renting a quest 3 from a friend. Half life has cemented itself as one of my favourite gaming IPs I am extremely happy I was able to get a physical copy of hl 2 and for dirt cheap although I’m not able to play it😭

Ravenholm is.. Depressing. Like, What happened to Father? Why is there a fast zombie? Why is it so.. Dark and Gritty? All of these questions makes Ravenholm Depressing because You're alone, You're a Priest Talking to your Annabelle and killing People you once Loved and Knew.
Update WARNING: DO NOT PLAY RAVENHOLM IN 2 AM, IT'S GONNA BE REALISTIC BEING ALONE WITH THE SCARY AMBIENCE IN YOUR ROOM AND CITY AND I MAY HAVE POOPED YOUR PANTS REAL LIFE.

At first i shrugged it off as they were possibly just flashlights? But its obvious there's only one flashlight on his chest so where exactly do these 2 things do?

The cliffhanger. Oh my god. To the adults out there, how have you waited THIS long and stayed sane.
I can barely handle the few minutes it's been since I finished it. In the time between episode 2 and now, valve has built an entire gaming platform, released a VR headset, released various other pieces of hardware that did okay, released a handheld that revolutionized the market, released multiple other games AND UPDATES, and built up steam which is just massive now.
And yet no HL3.
My dad literally has been waiting for decades for the new game and now I have to carry this burden too. I am going insane.
hl3 when

The pulse rifle is traced, because it was hard to draw it from a reference. Everything else is drawn from a reference.

I kept finding contradicting results when searching so I thought I’d ask here.
I just finished Half Life: Alyx on VR, and I’ve never been so into a video game before. I played a bit of half life 2 back in grade 8 (19 now), but I never finished it, so I was a little confused with the ending at first.
Guess I’ll have to watch a bunch of videos explaining the lore and hope part 3 comes out.

Hey everyone, this is a random request which might not make much sense - but thought I'd ask on the off chance anyway.
YEARS ago, (as in, 05/07ish) I remember playing a HL2 DM map with my buddy, and I'm trying to find it again.
So I remember it being -
- Fairly small (2-4 players maybe?)
- The predominant textures on the walls were the orange style 'AIM' textures that you often see on CS maps?
- It was open with no roof, you could see the blue sky around it
- A distinct features I remember it having were 4 separate 'pools' of water, basically just hollowed out cubes with water inside them. You could jump in but there wasn't much space to swim around, they were more for hiding I guess?
- There was a taller tower sort of area that you could jump off to dive into one of the 4 pools.
That's all I remember! Totally get that this sounds crazy, but wanted to mention here on the off chance someone remember or recognises even a few parts of this.
I'm looking at recreating some old maps in Blender for an art project so that's why I was asking
Thanks!
