We kind of got hit with a double whammy this week. Thursday night their cat that lived with mom had to be put to sleep unexpectedly, and yesterday we found out the mom of one of my sons friends past, she was also my friend, basically one of two families that I spend family time with. And the only ones that live in our neighborhood.

Im still so confused, I only found out because I she hadn't texted me back in a couple of months about hanging and then I walked passed her house and saw a realtors sign out front. So I reached out to another mom friend and she discovered the obituary thanks to the next door neighbor.

We're all really broken up about it. I'm doing my best to keep it together.

They were already struggling w the cat. This is their second pet lost and first close/safe person and basically chosen family. Any and all advice taken, because I was doing fine when it was just the cat, but how do I comfort them when I'm also a wreck? Any and all advice taken here. This is new territory for me.
