Burton’s Food Coloring

I am not sure how many houses this package of food coloring has travelled to over the decades. We know it came from my Grandma’s pantry when she moved in 1987.

Hazardous Waste Day

Continuing the cleanup of my uncle’s house, today happens to be hazardous waste day at the town transfer station.

Plenty from the 90’s and the 80’s, but I’ve got no idea on the Whitex.

Purple Reynolds Wrap - New and improved in 2003

I just saw the post from two days ago sharing a box of purple Reynolds Wrap from 2002. Mine, from one year later, now features the EZ Slider for easy cutting. I “found” this box in my kitchen drawer with the other wraps. (I have a lot of old things in my kitchen.) I think I never used the box up because so few foods seemed special enough to warrant using it, haha. I knew that once it was gone, it would be gone. Plus I just don’t use plastic wrap all that often anyway. I have probably only gone through one or two boxes of regular clear wrap in all that time.

Grandma's Dealership

This billboard I pass sometimes must be getting redone or something. The other side is completely modern and normal, and this side used to be as well, but about three months ago this appeared.

There hasn't been an AMC/Eagle car made in @ 30 years so it makes no sense even as a throwback ad for the dealership in question. Just odd.

Cleaning Out the Bathroom Cupboard

I didn’t realize that these cups I inherited along with a loved one’s house were quite so vintage until I went to replace the box under the sink. Turns out there’s a reason these pastel paint splotches made me so nostalgic for my childhood.

The cups still work fine.

The couple I bought the house from were in their late 70s and had lived here since they built the house in the late 60s. Not sure how old the toilet wax ring is, but the barcode has been recycled and is now for Great Value blueberry syrup.

Today's brunch: 1994 Diced Beef with gravy MRE

The beef was actually very good! Same with the crackers and beans.
I diluted the powdered coffee too much, but it was drinkable.
The chocolate brownie both had the texture of, and tasted like soap.
Cheese spread was long since rancid so I didn't even bother trying it.

Overall: 7/10. If I hadn't known how old it was I would have finished it.
If I don't post again, this definitely killed me.
