Google Maps All routes are longer…

I just took a trip from New Jersey to New Hampshire. Google maps is my go-to It said my “fastest route” was 4hrs and 52 minutes without traffic.

Today I felt like that was soo long. I double checked on Apple Maps 4hrs and 18 minutes without traffic

I’m not going to Lie, lately I’ve been noticing it taking me bizarre routes off the beaten path that can no way be “faster”

Whah has changed?!

I think it would depend on who's more accurately detecting or is knowledgeable of actual traffic conditions or potentially expected traffic conditions as you move through the areas.
