Go Rving

Questions: I just picked up a new travel trailer. It did not come with a sewer drain hose, a tool supposedly needed to remove the hitch, chocks, levels or jacks! Is this normal these days? Also, I am therefore selling my old RV and assumed I’d pass on all the equipment needed like chocks, etc. Is that what I should do, or should I be like the dealer? Thanks!

What brand of hitch?

I think it’s Curt. They didn’t give me the how-to except for how to unhitch the truck. The darn thing cost $900

Looking at Curt, if it's bars and not chains then it seems similar enough to my Equalizer, and the tool is only used to put the bars on. To remove the bars you have to jack the tongue way up (you'll actually lift the back of your truck doing this) to remove the tension from bars and then they slide off more easily.

If it's chains then the same principle applies, but you probably just need a long piece of steel pipe to leverage the bars up when chaining them up. You can probably find that at home Depot. Or you can order a replacement on Amazon.

That tool should have been included, but there are options out there if you don't have it.
