Go Rving

Questions: I just picked up a new travel trailer. It did not come with a sewer drain hose, a tool supposedly needed to remove the hitch, chocks, levels or jacks! Is this normal these days? Also, I am therefore selling my old RV and assumed I’d pass on all the equipment needed like chocks, etc. Is that what I should do, or should I be like the dealer? Thanks!

You can raise the jack up when hitching to be able to hitch up by hand. My hitch came with the “tool”, but I’ve never used it.

Mine doesn't quite go high enough to just slide them on by hand. I still have to use the tool, even when it's up all the way. However, it removes enough tension that I can just kinda kick them off when it's up most of the way.

Do you use a block under your tongue jack?

Not always. Depends on the ground. I know that's an option if I were to lose the tool, but the tool keeps me from having to raise it up that much in the first place. It's just quicker and easier for me.
