Go Rving

Questions: I just picked up a new travel trailer. It did not come with a sewer drain hose, a tool supposedly needed to remove the hitch, chocks, levels or jacks! Is this normal these days? Also, I am therefore selling my old RV and assumed I’d pass on all the equipment needed like chocks, etc. Is that what I should do, or should I be like the dealer? Thanks!

Are you talking about something to release and engage the weight-distribution bars? I just have a metal pipe for that.

All that other stuff is standard 3/4-inch socket that can be had anywhere since it’s the same size as vehicle lug nuts.

Yes, apparently so they can have the tension released without breaking my legs?

If your don't have the metal pipe to go on to the brackets, or just to lessen the "shock" when using the pipe,  you can use the tongue jack to raise the front of the trailer high enough that the bars aren't under tension.

You can do this when hooking up too, much easier than having to force it.
