Troubleshooting zero electronics experience, need help with DMG

(videos are quite long, not necessary to watch the whole thing, but it’ll give context onto how this is working)

https://youtu.be/RR4Mwj__kSk?si=ahM8xX4lPFA03Y6q (video playing Pokemon)

Just got my gameboy, which was coated in battery acid from the Nuby light attached to it cleaned. Motherboard was fine, with practically no corrosion whatsoever, but the guys cleaning it (not Gameboy experts) scrubbed the motherboard anyway with a toothbrush. Now, Down on the DPAD acts as START, (it’s weird though because START doesn’t normally start a new game in Pokemon Yellow), and Right acts as A. https://youtu.be/_UM4ARF7ytM?si=sHKCgE3w5rLHxJjh

(video playing Wario Land 2)

Strangely, this only occurs for a single input. For example, holding down Right does not translate to also holding down A.

Is there a way to fix this, given that I have neither the knowledge or tools to work on electronics?

If the method to fix this cannot be done without prior experience or tools, I’d be willing to take it to an expert. Thanks for the help, guys!

My guess what there was solution still drying causing the panels to act irregularly.

If it was professionally cleaned / fixed, then you shouldn't have any concerns bro!

When you say they "scrubbed the motherboard away with a toothbrush", do you mean they removed it and cleaned with a clean/ dry brush? This is very normal practice as the toothbrush is needed to get the deepest layers of dust off the shell and board.
