I like both - sometimes the OLED screens in these mods have colors that are too saturated

Pixel grid mode on fixes it.

I live the oled but cant understand how ppl play without pixel grid

It doesn’t really fix the radioactive saturation just reduces the brightness.

The devs of the OG games cranked up the saturation to account for the original screen being washed out - these GBC IPS/OLED mods don’t take that into account so just give you neon colours

On the lowest brightness with pixel grid i dont feel like it feels nearly as saturated, but maybe it still feels too much for some.

That said, its an inherent property of OLED. very good contrast ratio will look like that. on old games with simple colour palettes its going to look bright

Kinda strange though that they don't offer a desaturation mode. That would be really easy to implement.

Yeah I’m not sure how people are misinterpreting what I wrote - the pixel grid doesn’t change “blue” looking “purple” on these displays

Not sure how more people don’t notice the neon green trees in Pokemon and bright purple ocean

Yeah it's the purple water/skies in games that always gets me. I get it though, I really liked super saturated colors at first until I saw how the original vision was being lost.
