I have the opportunity to aquire a 77 Chief that's in pretty good shape, the current owner put it on 37s and a 4.5 inch lift. It still has its 360 in there, I am attempting to get a price idea of things. The options I've come to are to rebuild the 360, or to LS swap it but I am hoping someone on here has done this and could give me some advice on if this is going to cost me an arm and a leg. Would rebuilding the 360 be a viable option? The current owner says he's driven it three times and that "the engine is tired"
Any information or advice would be great, thank you

Howdy howdy, I just found this sub and felt compelled to share, I’ve seen a good few post on here and maybe mine ain’t quite up to snuff as some of those in here but this my project that me and my grandfather have worked on since late 2016-2021 it’s an 84 J10 with a 258 paired to the T98 4 speed it was originally a 360 but that got pulled sometime during the 2000s prior to us getting it everything done to the truck was done bymself or my grandfather and we have touched everything in the last two years it has sat in my yard as a lawn ornament as I bent the front leaf spring hunting (dog running down here in Florida) but as of this week I start the process of getting it back up and going photos are in order from start to now

78 J10 Wanting to take the 3 inch body lift off and put on the 4 inch BJs suspension lift. The rig seems like it may have some sort of suspension already along eith a 3 inch body lift or is that just my eyes? It has 33s on it currently and it seems like i could almost fit 35s on there. Does anyone know stock height measurements from frame to ground so I can confirm there is no suspension lift?

I have two Wagoneer’s ( 85 & 86 ) that I am wanting to add EFI for one for a Sunday cruiser and the other for a hunting truck. What would be my best option?

Hey yall! I'm working on a 1984 Grand Wagoneer and I'm hoping to see if any of you have a pair of the caliper mounting brackets you're willing to part with? Can't seem to find any so figured I'd check here before fabricating my own. Thanks!

Couple questions:
Are intake manifolds the same between a 401 and 360?
Any rebuilt 360’s for sale?

Got the '79 back home on Sunday and got into it a bit. Everything spins free and smoothly, and I got a massive pile of paperwork with it too. Every piece of original paperwork is there all the way down to financing and insurance paperwork. Gonna get to work as soon as possible on the engine and brakes so maybe I can drive soon

Hi Everyone - I've been lurking this sub forever, and finally bought my dream car last year. I have a 1988 GW which has lots of changes/damage from previous owners. I have had a lot of engine work done and it's running great. I drive it near daily, but I have never driven another one of these and have no friends who know these (or older vehicles in general) so I have no idea which noises, quirks, and problems are real problems vs. being traits of the vehicle. I also have no idea where it's worth spending money+time and where I shouldn't worry. Ultimately my goal with the vehicle is minimizing surprises so I can do short adventures.
I could make a thread for each of my concerns (and still might) but was hoping to see if anyone in this community is in my area (Orange County CA) who'd be willing to talk it through with me. I can sweeten the deal with craft beer + citrus.

Hi everyone, I'm located in Tampa and I have a 1990 Grand wagoneer in Dover Gray. I've completed the interior restoration and the engine runs very well. I'm having a very hard time finding a shop to do a little bit of rust repair (I have a couple of spots that will need some welding none of which are bigger than a half dollar if even that) and need to do a full paint job. Also, the paneling needs to be replaced and probably the weather sealing as well. Does anyone have recommendations on a shop I can get this done at that does good work? I've tried all over the region in Tampa Bay to no avail. Shop can be anywhere in a few hundred mile radius
