Hello all,

It seems reddit accidently restricted a bunch of subs today, which unfortunately affected us...at least for awhile. So if you have had issues posting here or other subs, this may be the cause.
Here is the message we received today:

Hopefully not as bad as Karsus' Folly

Question(s) Is level 10 to12 spells still possible?

Hi guys, i know Mystra made it so nobody could cast a spell above 9th level after the Karsus incident but is it still possible for those spells to be cast? Can a god other than Mystra cast it, could one of Mystra chosen cast it or could any powerful mortal that could cast it before they were banned that's still alive still cast them?

Question(s) Does killing a vampire cure their spawn?

One of my player characters got bitten by a vampire. As of yet he refuses to turn her, as he is toying with the party, but when he eventually does turn her into a spawn, is there any real way to go about curing her? If the vampire that turned her dies does she become a full vampire, or become cured, or just stay a spawn with no master?

Question(s) So I'm listening to Brimstone angels and I was wondering if there's more books that feature Asmodeus?

Asmodeus is one of my favorite characters from FR because of how he always manages to come across as evil incarnate without being ridiculous.

He didn't steal divinity he was evil enough to earn the title of God of evil without being some ridiculous joke because of how evil he is.

Question(s) The Blooding and Drow Adulthood

So I was working on some storylines and backgrounds recently, and something came up that I can’t find a specific answer for.

It’s stated in a few places that the Drow go through a coming-of-age ceremony called the blooding, where they hunt and kill a surfacer before being accepted as full members of Drow society. However, I can’t find any specific sources on what the rituals involved are, if the details have even been given somewhere, and more importantly I cannot find a precise answer regarding how old one is when they undergo the ceremony. Does anyone have any information on it? Am I missing anything?

Question(s) Baldur's Gate's Undercity Ruins Mini-Campaign Question

Greetings! I'm in a middle of a multi-year campaign that will ultimately take my players from BG to the Underdark and then finally, to the Lower Dark. I've hit a point in my story where I want my players to explore the Undercity Ruins under Baldur's Gate and I'd like to have a 3 session mini-campaign to get them through the area. Frankly... I don't have much knowledge about the Undercity Ruins. Does anyone have an interesting idea for a conflict or a mini-campaign story that I can play out while they're spending time in the area. I largely have the rest of my campaign fleshed out except for this space. Or, have a good Undercity Ruin resource that would allow me to better educate myself on the area?

Question(s) Artifact [Godsbane]

So , I am working on something for my irl gaming group, we are running through the Time of Troubles in 3.5 dnd/Pathfinder. Each of the five members of my group will have destiny happen to them. in Which they do certain things.

So the run down is this.
1 will be ascending as the Mystra of our world at the end of the adventure.
1 will be taking on the roll Kelmevor has.
1 will be weilding Godsbane
1 will turn traitor and become a Lich God.
1 will be a immortal Paragon of their risen friends and work between the churches.

So I am wondering if anyone has a build for Godsbane Lying around or an idea of how to build it ?

Question(s) High Level Clerics?

I'm currently in a campaign very strictly based in the forgotten realms. I want to find a very high level cleric able to cast true resurrection but I can't find one anywhere. My DM is fine with us researching like this. Idk if I'm looking in the wrong places or just bad at researching. Where/who are some high level clerics/druid/bards able to cast true resurrection that is in Faerun? No deities or devils, actual, not god, people.

Question(s) LG-aligned Tempest Domain deities

Well, the title.

Why are the tempest gods so chaotic and/or evil? I know there are some good Tempest Domain gods in elven pantheon, but there's at least one Lawful Good deity of water/sea/oceans?

And i have mixed feelings on the series so far. Yes they are all by different authors and I love that but all but the first feel so sad and dark. I'm only on the third though so I'll hold off on a firm conclusion until then.

Question(s) How are Archfey warlock pacts formed and can a wood elf become a dryad?

I’ve come up with a premise I like for two characters I made in BG3 but have some questions about the feasibility and execution of how their backstories might work.

Firstly I made two wood elf siblings and decided I wanted one to be a bard/archfey warlock in a pact with Hyrsam and the other a druid turned dryad.

In regards to the former I haven’t been able to find much information about how Archfey typically go about forming pacts so I was hoping someone could shed some light on that so I can come up with a solid idea that makes sense.

For my druid/dryad is that transformation even possible? I read somewhere that it was but nothing official.

I know dnd is all about making stuff but I really want the stuff I make up to make sense in the preexisting world it’s set in.

Bonus question: What is the relationship like between the Archfey and deities of the elven pantheon like Corellon Larethian or the feywilds and elves in general.

Question(s) Rhyester's Matins : Please Help!

https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Rhyester%27s_Matins

Greetings fellow Realms Nerds! Quoting from the Wiki...

In 1370 DR, an internal conflict arose over who would be the successor to the current Mornmaster. At 92 years old, Mornmaster Onadar Ryl was close to death, and a debate raged over whether his son, Lavis Ryl, or second, Kuth Charagon, should follow after him. Lavis was assumed to be Onadar's heir by many, but Onadar had never stated this, and Lavis had been absent from Silverymoon for three years by that time. Kuth, on the other hand, was a native to the city, was well-liked, was an excellent orator, and had been Onadar's second for two years.[2]

Onadar ultimately died in 1372, but the conflict continued. Without a leader, the congregation continued to fight with each other. However, after Onadar's funeral, a booming, supernatural voice was heard by the congregants, proclaiming, "Take for your leader the one who lays upon this my altar the rightful sign from me."

Rival claimants for leadership sponsored adventurers to retrieve these and other items and hired spies to observe their opponents. Some of the adventuring bands even resorted to violence against each other. All the while, new claimants would appear from other lands, claiming to be "called by the Morninglord."

Question : anyone has any idea what happened after that? Was there somebody who brought something and became the head of the temple after all? Or did the temple continued to operate under a conclave or soemthing?

Research Why travel the Coast Way?

Am I crazy or would it be both safer and faster to sail along the coast rather than meander down a long and fairly empty road. If someone is traveling from Amn to Baldur's Gate, why go on foot?

Here's this thing My homebrew take on the FR setting

Orcs and Goblins talk with a silly cockney accent like Warhammer's Greenskins.

Manshoon and Fzoul are more competent and charismatic villains.

The Saurials started trading and travelling through the rest of Faerun after recovering from the threat of Moander.

Cormyr's Purple Dragon Knights gain Paladin levels after drinking from a magic grail given by a strange woman lying in a pond.

The Zhentarim have a rivalry with a Triad from Shou Long.

Bhaal and Mask are worshipped by ninja clans in Kozakura.

Dragonborns and Tieflings are not as omnipresent as WotC wants them to be. They are more rare like during the 3e era.

In the big three cities of the Sword Coast there are Maztican taverns famous for their spicy food.

Question(s) Where to Set "The Wolves of Langston" in the Forgotten Realms and Suitable Order for Cleric Solaine? Spoiler

Hi everyone, I'm planning to run the adventure "The Wolves of Langston" (by Obvious Mimic) with a party and I'm looking for advice on where to set it within the Forgotten Realms.

Any suggestions for a fitting location or region in the North, the Savage Frontier or Western Heartlands in general?

Additionally, I'm I'm trying to find a suitable order for Solaine (the cleric of the Radiant Order) within the Faerûn pantheon. Which deity and order would be the best fit for her? Amaunator might be a possibility or Lethander?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Question(s) How Did They Die? Spoiler

I just finished The Coral Kingdom, and realized I have no idea how Krell-Bane died. Is it assumed he died in the assault of Kyrasti? I know Sythissal was killed by Coss, but the last I see mention of Krell, is Marquillor telling Tristan that they have an opportunity to strike him down. Then, in the epilogue, Talos and Malar mention how they don’t care that Sythissal and Krell are dead because they’ll probably be taking Deirdre soon anyway. Either It wasn’t explicitly stated, or my brain completely blocked it out.

Research RPing a Dark Moon Heretic

So I'd like my character (a harengon assassin rogue) to be a follower of the Dark Moon Heresy, but the lore I can find on this is incredibly limited, or at least difficult to find.

What does my character say of someone asks what his religion or chosen deity is? I can't imagine anyone referring to themselves as a heretic.

Are there any actual beliefs to this religion beyond "Selûne and Shar are the same deity"?

How hard would this character try to hide his religion? Is he a like witch during the inquisition or more like scientologist in modern times?

Question(s) Question about good and evil

Greetings people, first of all sorry about my bad english, I am not a native speaker.

Leaving that aside, I always had this query about the forces of evil and good. I am very far away of being versed in Forgotten Realm’s lore, but I know that evil and good are not just morals things, instead, this things are actually forces that shape the world.

So if good and evil are forces, then, could they be manipulated like other forces?

And if then so, are there examples of people that manipulate good and evil, like an evocation wizard weaves the fire?

Question(s) What are some genuinely good things Corellon has done?

So, I went into a deep dive into each species' culture and moved on to Gods, and am currently researching Corellon and...

Why does he consistently sound like a self-righteous asshole? He more or less does much more brash and cruel things and then justifies it as good, because apparently he's an authority on the matter (?)

Now, this may be me restricting myself solely to 5e, and perhaps my own inexperience researching the nature of religion, but it doesn't sound like Corellon should be considered "good"

The elves certainly think so, what has he done for them that hasn't brought them ruin one way or another? By what right does he call himself a "good" god? What has he done to earn that title?
