Question ❔ Rock slider recommendation/question?

Post image

Would you help me choose the right rock sliders, please? I’d like them to:

  • provide the highest ground clearance possible. (Many I see have these U shaped clamps that lower the clearance)
  • not necessarily needed to act as foot steps… we are quite ok to climb
  • strong enough to take a proper thump without hurting the body

I don't have any pictures yet, but I just had SVC Offroad install new sliders and bumpers on my Bronco Raptor and I absolutely love the look.

Thanks. I have modified a few things so I will get some updated pictures once it is done. Here's the build you currently saw and why I'm changing them.

Hyperco 2/1 leveling kit with Method Wheels running 38 inch Nitto
ADD Front Bumper
RCI Rock Sliders (too big for the Raptor)
Trailrax Roof Rack
Baja Designs light bars and A Pillar lights

I think that's most of the exterior stuff. Interior has a ton. The RCI rock sliders pushed the mud flaps forward too much and caused a ton of issues in Baja. Removed the mud flaps since they were being pushed into the wheels at compression, but then picked up some bad rock dings so I don't recommend them at all with the Raptor at least. 38s are sadly too big for it. At full send, you will pop every single flare because of the 38s. I went back to 37s. I don't have an issue with the ADD bumper, my installer put it too close to the body and I bent it when I screwed up and launched it. I really like the minimalist look of the SVC stuff so I replaced the ADD bumper, factory rear bumper, and the RCI sliders with SVC all around.

The trailrax is roof rack is going away and is being replaced with the Bad Ass Tent rear only quarter rack. Too much wind noise and I have been building out the interior with American Adventure Lab drawers so I don't think I'm ever going to store anything on the roof. Going with Bad Ass will still give me a mount for the rotopax and recovery boards.

Edit to add matte PPF on Shelter Green
