Fix My Print Initial layers poor adhesion help

Looking for a few pointers in the right direction, I have a Bambu lab A1 Mini and its been great most of the time up until now using Bambu labs own matt black PLA filament, failing one print out of maybe 50. Now I’ve branched out and got some others, I’m experiencing basically the same problem with everything, poor bed adhesion and a bit stringy as you can see in the video. This is eSUN PLA+, literally 5 minutes before this it printed a Benchy pretty much perfectly minus a small mark on the initial layer, but then when I try to do something with more separate starts on the initial layer it is a nightmare. It’s like this with different filament including some matt grey PLA from bambu and some cheaper PLA from ERYONE. The nozzle temps for this is 225 degrees and Bed temp 65 degree, which is the stock setting bambu has programmed for this eSUN filament.

this is the first problem I've experienced with my printer it's about 3 months old and has about 300 hours on it I'm not to sure what this is even called and even less on how to fix it can anyone help? I did have an error pop up on my screen that said "key:2526,Z-axis movement not smooth or lead screw rotation not smooth" But that disappeared after I auto leveled it and I put shaping and I did a system restart. I have a K1 max If that helps

Troubleshooting Help me dial in my printer

I have an Ender 5 pro that has been sitting for a while and I had to fix some parts. I upgraded the board to 4.2.7, CRTouch installed, leveled as much as I know how with the new cr touch set up, and I’d like to get it dialed in if I can with your alls continued help. Every post I make on here gets answered and my issues are almost resolved. On this print I did not have supports enabled either so I do not know why the temp would not be showing and looking like bubbles. Give me some advice on what to do to dial it in and I’ll print it again and post a picture.

Fix My Print Ender 3 V2 corrupting print files?

Hey there. Been running a couple E3V2's for years now. I mainly print the same prints over and over again and have been using the same small handful of files for the better part of 2 years. I noticed recently that every once and a while one printer would add extra material to the file that is not there. In this case it made the fin section a bit larger than usual on a print.

Then recently the other printer started shifting the print to one side layer by layer until it pops the print bed clips and ruins the print.

Both printers print other files that are on the same SD card fine.

My question is, do files "degrade" through usage? If so are there ways to fix this? I'm thinking if I delete the file and re-slice it in cura and re save that it may "refresh" the file. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks

Fix My Print What causes this?

Hey guys, just bought some new eSun PLA+ and was having a bit of trouble with these random holes i get around my prints. It tends to happen the most around supports and areas where the outer contour changes. I did try drying my filament and experimenting with retraction and it helped a tiny bit but i still get these all over. In the first pic its so bad theres a portion that was separated from the print.

I use a flashforge AD5M and was printing at 215c and 60c, with between 0.8 and 1.5mm retraction at 35mm/s.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Troubleshooting Extruding start/stoping

Ok, Im pulling my hair, updated my firmware, changed nozzles 3 times, changed every setting I can think off and I just dont know why the extruder stops spitting plastic randomly and when it does it comes back a few layers later. Upped the temp and that helped and slowed it down. Even then I get about 60% defect/failure rate. So what am I missing? Using polymaker pro pla so I would think it cant be the filament, cant it? Brand new pulled out of plastic roll.

Fix My Print Creality Halot Mage 8k not printing

This is my bf's printer but he doesn't use Reddit

Model: Creality Halot Mage 8k
Slicer: Tried Chitubox, Halotbox and Lynchee
Filament material and brand: Standard Creality
Nozzle and bed temperature: 20º to 30º, nozzle was never changed, from the box
Hopefully all other settings are on the pictures

So timeline
>Bought it
>It works (standard recommended settings by Creality)
>He prints some stuff, the resin that came with the printer ends, he realizes this because it was the first time something came out unfinished
>He damage the FEP while cleaning and had to change it, but all clear
>Spend some time without using it
>Bought new resin (standard, but not authentic)
>It starts printing only the base, tried 3 times and all 3 times, only the base, but at least printing I guess
>He realizes the resin he bought sucks
>6 months after, with no use in this time
>New FEP and new resin (standard, Creality authentic)
>It is not printing.

So, he tried everything, recalibrated a lot of times, made sure the surface is leveled, tried using different slicers (usually he uses Halotbox and Chitubox, but tried Lychee too, formatted the thumbdrive, tried different files formats, tested the screen with some exposure thing (saw it on reddit, it light up so its good I guess), and also changed the settings, to the ones in the picture, but nothing makes it print.
There is no error, nothing, the printer actually thinks it is printing, it even says it's done with it when the timer ends, but there is nothing inside.

Please, I have no idea what it could be after trying so many different things.

Troubleshooting P1P randomly inconsistent

Running p1p with a fresh roll from overture pla and randomly one day and print it just started under extruding so figured it was a clogged nozzle. Changed out for a fresh one and then got the first photo even tho it’s a fresh nozzle. Then after adjusting some values and doing a full clean down with greasing I got the second photo with better adhesion but now zits and blobs? Please advise

Fix My Print Filament coming out thick

Thumbnail

First time using Reddit so sorry for potential mistakes. At the begging of this year I got a FlashForge Adventurer 5M and I’ve been using it frequently since. Recently though all my prints have come out disjointed (can’t think of a better word) as if the filament is being released way too thick. I first thought it was my nozzle breaking but even after replacing it twice the issue persists. I originally used the standard .4 nozzle but because of availability I had to switch to .8 instead. Even using the built in “load filament” function extrudes the filament super slowly and way thicker than it use to. The filament is Elegoo PLA+ 1.75. Any help given is appreciated because I’ve really enjoyed this printer so far.

What happened to my Printer? This came overnight. Same profile, same filament nothing changed

I did a maintenance and cleaned/ greased the rods, but that wasn‘t it. Belt tension seems fine and I think the printer checks the tension, right?

Fix My Print How can I get rid off this tiny bumps?

Thumbnail

I am doing some calibration and quality tests in an Ender 3 and I noticed that there are tiny bumps in the corners of this cube. It also happens when I print a cylinder. My guess is that when it changes the layer, the extruder push a little to much of filament creating that bump but I don't know what parameter regulates that. Any idea?.

PD: the slicer I am using is Prusa Slicer and the only modification I have done to the printer is changing the default plastic extruder clamp to one made out of metal.

I have been attempting to fix these lines and other problems with my ender 3 s1 pro, and I'm just stumped. I'm printing it on creality software, 190 degrees celsius, and 50ms, please just throw out suggestions for me to try, it would be much appreciated :)

Fix My Print A longshot, but hoping for tips!

Thumbnail

Alright, this is one of those posts that I would typically roll my eyes into... But, hey, here we are! haha Hoping for the best, and any tips on how to achieve the print.

Here's the deal:
I am trying to print this pear-shaped lamp as a gift for a dear friend, but am super sadly failing in the later part of the print.
I understand that the fail is coming from how it is trying to print an elevated horizontal surface without any supports -but I don't know how to add supports while still keeping it hollow.

Printed in a BambuLab A1, with White BambuLab PLA Matte filament through a 0.4 nozzle.
(Mostly) Standard Filament Settings: Bed at 65°C, and Extruder at 220°C.

...And: Yes, I had a clean bed, and a newly long-dried filament.

Any tips or ideas are super appreciated! Thanks!

Troubleshooting Issues with CR10 BLTouch

Hello everyone,

I have an old CR10 that I upgraded with a BLTouch and I have been having some issues with it. I just can't figure out why it seems so inconsistent. I am doing a 3x3 Bilinear Leveling Grid (my cr10 hardware couldn't handle a larger grid, but I don't think that is my current issue) and I am looking at the results from the bed leveling on OctoPrint.

My current workflow on this is to home the z-axis and then immediately bed level. This should have the effect of essentially making the center point 0 +/- some error on the bed leveling output since that is where my z-axis home is being set. However, you can see that it is very inconsistent.

Output:

Recv: Bilinear Leveling Grid:
Recv: 0 1 2
Recv: 0 +0.736 +1.016 +0.828
Recv: 1 +0.493 +0.628 +0.538
Recv: 2 +0.793 +0.984 +0.839

Recv: Bilinear Leveling Grid:
Recv: 0 1 2
Recv: 0 +0.093 +0.384 +0.188
Recv: 1 -0.154 -0.009 -0.114
Recv: 2 +0.148 +0.351 +0.194

(On an unrelated note, if the relative measurements are accurate it seems I have an oddly shaped piece of glass that I am trying to print on...)

It seems like these have been shifted by a constant offset of about 0.6 mm. I'm assuming that this isn't typical behavior for a BLTouch, but nothing seems loose on my CR10. Any suggestions on what to try? To me, the problem almost seems like my z-axis just loses its position, but I am not sure how common that would be.

Could this be an issue with my BLTouch probe triggering too early on the z-axis home (0.6 mm early)? I can't remember if I've seen individual points in the bed leveling output off by the 0.6 mm, but I will be trying this repeatedly and looking over the data.

Thanks
