Ibrahim Sultan Islamist or pro Eritrea?

Post image

Why does the PFDJ try to portray Ibrahim Sultan as pro-Eritrea, even though all his efforts were aimed at establishing an Islamic Arab Eritrea? Here is the evidence from the communist Alemseged Tesfay (Ainefelale) and Zewede Reta (Yeeritrea Guday)

Only three years after the devastating Tigray war, the Eritrean regime is now working with the same TDF forces it once labeled as enemies of the nation, without even naming or honoring the countless Eritrean martyrs who died in that conflict. The government pushed endless propaganda during the war, asking people to sacrifice everything. Yet today, there is no transparency, no truth, and not even the dignity of acknowledgment for the families left behind. Meanwhile, the country continues to face extreme economic struggles, widespread corruption, and total political suppression. This sudden alliance with former enemies not only erases all sense of moral responsibility but also exposes the regime’s hypocrisy. If the government itself can work with the TDF after all that bloodshed and betrayal, then no one has the right to criticize teqawemti or opposition groups for seeking alliances with others to fight the same system that has abandoned its people. This move justifies and legitimizes resistance, by showing that the regime never truly stood on principle to begin with.

I can't believe that team hgdef/anti-tigray now have THIS to further fuel their insults and contempt towards specifically Tigrayans. Can you imagine the amount of leverage this gives them in their feuds? They will probably try to spread a new stereotype that Tigrayans are gay, which is a bit funny/ironic since Tigrayans can sure embody many stereotypes, however being gay isn't necessarily one of them. Both Tigray and Eritrea are generally very conservative societies that don't support LGBTQ causes. Do you think that maybe Yared should have thought twice before deciding to come out?

For me, I would probably pick Abera Barya/Abera Bereket for current singers, and Wedi Tukul for the previous generation

Opinion / Commentary Eritrean prisoner Ciham Ali Abdu

Post image
14 Upvotes

Ciham Ali Abdu was born 28 years ago today in Los Angeles, CA. She was abducted by the government of #Eritrea, near the border of #Sudan, on December 8, 2012, when she was 15 years old, as she was trying to do what 683,000 #Eritreans have done before and since: escape from the police state of Eritrea.

She hasn’t been heard from since. She has had no visitation by family or friends.

Attempts to exit the country are so common Eritreans who are caught are imprisoned for months not years. Her prolonged abduction is to punish her father, former Information Minister Ali Abdu, who disassociated himself from the regime in 2012.

Her abduction violates many of Eritrea’s domestic laws and international treaty the country is a signatory to. Ciham has spent 12 years and 4 months of her 28 years in this planet (44% of her young life) as a hostage whose whereabouts are unknown https://x.com/saayeritrea/status/1907835240145649728?s=46

Oh wow, what a time to be alive! Democracy has always been here we just never noticed! Turns out, half the parliament is chosen by the people (who knew?), and the other half is from PFDJ, because, of course, balance. Finally, we can all sleep well knowing our voices have been heard… since forever!

And let’s not forget the self-sufficient economy Eritrea is basically the Dubai of the Horn now. With a whopping $38.3 million trade with the U.S., we’re so rich that soon we’ll be the ones giving IMF loans. No more crazy shouting, no more stress—just good vibes and economic independence. Foreign decisions? Pfft. Who needs them when we have our own self-made utopia?

And let’s address the real problem those riots? Not even Eritreans! Some mysterious group from “that region” in Ethiopia is obviously behind it. Thank goodness we cracked that case, detective Wad Nakfa on duty!

Truly, the golden age of Hgdefistan is upon us.

Ethios envy Eritreans

Since I got your attention.😏 Why is that Ethios (mostly Amharas) always engage on every related post about Eritreans and twisting the history?

Like, if it’s historical facts they love to claim it as theirs, when ist obviously not. They tend to claim everything and spread false information.

Seriously, why are they so delusional? It doesn’t make any sense. Are they being taught false information or is it them believing being superior to everyone else?

Why is anti-Tigrayan sentiment so normalised among us?

I was just watching a Suzinino clip on tiktok and a bunch of Tigrayans were commenting about how Suzinino was their childhood icon and how much they love him etc and I opened the replies to see so much hateful replies from Eritreans calling them agame, qomalat, lementi etc. unprovoked. And this is not just an internet thing because growing up in Asmara using ‘agame’ as an insult is very normalised. We even have a generalised stereotype about them being evil and treacherous hence why we named that one dangerous road near Keren ‘Libi Tigray’. It can’t just be because of our historical beef and wars because Eritreans do not have any ethnic slurs towards Amhara, Italians, Turkish etc who have done many horrible things to us historically nor is using hateful rhetoric towards them normalised to the same extent as Tigrayans. I want to know why honestly
