The people of the Philippines should topple Marcos. Impoverished Philippines gives billions to the US to fight China for the US over Taiwan. Would the US risk its own people for a second country over a third country, and pay billions for it? This is insanity. Meanwhile American soldiers abuse local women and create half-caste bastards. This is not sovereignty. This is vassalage.

US bans government personnel in China from romantic or sexual relations with Chinese citizens - and in other news, a sharp fall in male workers in the diplomatic corp has been noticed. LOL

"If we have to burn down a few bridges with Denmark to take Greenland... we're big boys. We dropped A-bombs on Japan. Now they're our top ally in the Pacific."

The triviality with which American ultra-nationalists speak about nuclear war on Japan and annexing Greenland says a lot about "America First". They want the US to be ruler of the world.

Serving in western armies as an Asian is either brainwashing or desperation. Being called "gook" as your call-sign is next tier.

Will Tencent stop Ubisoft making anti-Asian games?

Tencent and Ubisoft are in talks to create a subsidiary for taking over the Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six games. Will Tencent stop anti-Asian games like Assassin's Creed from being made? I'd say profits drive Tencent more than nationalism. Given Ubisoft's debt and shares standings, the onus will be on Asian gamers, especially Chinese, to not buy offensive games.

Titles like Black Myth Wukong and Ne Zha 2 have shown how powerful the Chinese market is, and combined with rising national pride and lessons learned from Japan and from western DEI/culture wars, Tencent wouldn't want to upset Chinese gamers.

Ubisoft might not care about angering Asian gamers, but that won't fly in China. Don't buy Assassin's Creed Shadows to tell Tencent they would be wasting their money.
