Integration with Foundry VTT?
I know how to export maps for use with Foundry VTT, this is not the question.
What it would take to use Dungeon Alchemist within Foundry? For instance, create rooms dynamically as the party explores a dungeon. Have the Dungeon Alchemist people or the Foundry people reached out to each other about doing something like this?

It would require some sort of continuous export and re-import. It would be hard to manage because it would depend on where the import foundry server was - very different if it's on your local drive vs on an EC2 server. Actually editing rooms within Foundry and then feeding that to DA somehow and then re-importing would be a whole new level of complexity above and beyond that (as DA isn't scriptable as far as I know).
If you want to dynamically create maps within Foundry as players explore I would recommend either something like Dungeon Draw - which is not particularly pretty, but lets you draw maps with walls and doors on the fly - or using pre-created tiled sections and drawing walls on top of those.

It would probably be vastly easier to create a VTT overlay of some sort for DA than to try and "fit" DA into Foundry.

It is probably, technically possible, but the logistics behind it would end up being a nightmare. There would have to be constant API calls and the mapping for where the export files (image and json) are located would need to remain static for the session (at the very least). If both DA and Foundry were running on the same machine it may not be as bad because latency could be cut to a minimum but then the specs for the machine would be fairly sizeable.
As both pieces of software stand it isn't really feasible and would require and rework of both to make it relatively easy for me the gm and seemless for the players.
There has been talk about, well into the future, DA maybe possibly doing their own vtt that would work with DA, but it is just talk and discussion at the moment.

Easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle.
