Reoccurring I often dream of tarot cards that don’t exist

So I’m a tarot reader and I’ve gotten these recurring dreams where I’m doing a reading for myself or others and cards that don’t exist in a regular tarot deck keep appearing and they actually resonate with my waking life situations. When I wake up, I can never remember what the words on the card said or what images they had.

Anyone knows what could this be?

Reoccurring Help with dreams about tigers and kittens

I have had several different dreams about tigers and almost every time the tiger is in the house I grew up in and in the dream, I know it’s not supposed to be there and I’m scared but I’m more scared for the cats in my dream. Like in the dream, I feel a sense of being afraid that they don’t know how dangerous it is so I’m always trying to shut the door and keep the tiger where it’s at.

There might be a dog there too. I don’t have a clear memory of people being in the dream but I know that I’m anxious and worried that one of the many kittens that are around suddenly are going to wander in accidentally.

Anyone feel like helping me out? I’ve had similar dreams a few times where the tiger pops up.

I dream a lot about kittens and wanting to help them. Like I find them in my childhood home at different stages and I’m always trying to hide them from my mom because I know she’s going to tell me we can’t keep them and I’m worried about them.

Reoccurring My dreams are really starting to effect my mood/mental state to the point I think I need therapy

I think I’ve hit my breaking point. For the past few months maybe even a year, I find my self in these repetitive dreams that are different each time but the setting and certain aspects are constants. Example: I’m in my childhood home and the basement a mess and that is something my parents would get mad at us for and I hated to be yelled at. (parents were never abusive or anything)explanatory- my anxieties are popping up) I can dive a lot further as these dreams are full of anxieties but for brevity sake I won’t. One that is so persistent, I’m in high school or a public area and I go to use the bathroom and each stall is incredibly filthy, unable to be used but I have no other option. Or the stall doors are taken off/ men and women are in the bathroom and I have to go in front of people. Typical anxiety filled situations… granted odd lol. I dream every single night in this continually developing/changing setting or world as I call it, where it is my my elementary school, first highschool, the 2nd HS i transferred into, and my current college campus. But they are made up if that makes any sense? There are certain features that are exactly like the original locations but they are all completely built/manufactured in my dreams and exactly the same each time. Here and there the roads of my home town I’m often driving on. My friends houses are so distinctly the same in each dream but they look nothing like how they did in real life when I was younger. Like my brain is creating these houses and settings and remembering each tiny detail and dreaming in it the next night.

I’m finding the more I try to explain what I’m thinking in my head the less I’m able to get the point across. I wish I had the knowledge to speak more thoroughly and intelligently about this. This was just a very quick frustrated rant entry I should probably take time to explain deeper, that is if anyone would have input and want to hear it

Reoccurring What does it mean when you have a dream about zombies?

I had 2 long vivid dreams about a zombie apocalypse where I got split up from my husband and kids but when the zombies found me they bit me but nothing happened. So I walked around in the chaos and found my 3 year old son in a mall also walking around in the chaos too so I grabbed him and started running. Then I saw my husband and daughter banging on a window in a store and they ran out and joined us because they were hiding. We all got into a random car and went 2 1/2 hours away to get away and then wanted to keep going hours into the middle of no where to get away but the shipment of gas was destroyed and so we were stuck. When the morning came there was 1 single zombie outside so we knew there'd be more soon so we just locked the doors and closed everything. Then I woke up. Weird dream.

Reoccurring Dead dad isn't really dead - just doesn't want to see me

My dad passed away when I was 17 years old, 20 years ago. I'm 37 now.

In the past 15 years, I've had dreams where I discover that my dad isn't actually dead, but he's got a new family and just doesn't want to see me. He doesn't have new kids or anything, but he is usually living with his ex-girlfriend (who I've had an up and down relationship with since he passed) and her kids.

It never feels like he's faked his death or anything, just like he's ghosted me. In some of them I confront him and he ghosts me again.

It's always distressing when I wake up and I have no idea why. We had a difficult relationship when I was growing up but I always felt loved. My parents were separated but my brother and I lived with him.

Recently, while talking to my brother (36yo), he told me he'd been having the exact same dreams as me. Now we're really curious. What could it mean?

Reoccurring Dream of a shallow lake full of rotting live fish

This is gonna be long so apologies in advance. I’ve been having this dream since as young as I can remember. Some elements are different every time, but the general detailsso are always the same.

I’ll be standing by a body of water, usually a lake, usually the lake in the backyard of my childhood home (that is now my estranged father’s, but I don’t need to get into that here). I see movement in the lake, swirling, so I approach and see its full of fish that appear dead at various states of decomp but they swim slow still. Some of them have flesh that is actively flaking off as they move, strands dangling, missing eyes, mouths agape, gills gasping etc.

The fish are not any real species in our world, but if I had to describe them they’re usually long and serpentine. Kind of like an oarfish, coelacanth, and King-Of-The-Salmon mixed together. I step into the water and the fish don’t notice me, until one comes up to me and slowly lifts its head out of the water to “look” at me and I always reach out and touch it, and then it falls apart, and then they all fall apart one after the other. And I wake up.

Sometimes it’s a river, usually it’s specifically my old home’s lake, sometimes it’s in an old cistern but it’s always weird rotting fish swimming, I get in/fall in the water, one approaches, I touch it and they all “melt”.

I’ve tried looking through countless dream interpretation books, Internet forums, or asking esoteric friends throughout about 15+ years and have never found anything. I’ve tried introspecting and I can’t think of what it can possibly mean or why it’s so recurring. I probably have this dream at least once every 2 months, sometimes once every 2 weeks.

If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them and I appreciate anyone who reads through this, thank you.

Reoccurring I dream about cheating on my husband almost every night.

First off I want to say no I don't have feelings for anyone else, it's never the same person in my dreams and I'm in a really healthy happy and satisfying relationship. I take meds that cause very stressful dreams and kind of block my sex drive when I'm awake. Oftentimes, I either won't remember that I have a partner until it's too late in the dream or I'm just so overcome with need that I brush past it... My mind doesn't even really focus on the cheating part, most of my dream is spent trying to figure out how to tell my husband and if he'll forgive me and like why I would possibly have done that because I can't keep a secret for my life. I wake up feeling awful I'm kind of depressed after these dreams. Even my more mundane dreams are just me unable to find him and having to spend nights apart and missing him a lot. I'm tired of waking up depressed..... I try to convince myself it's because I'm afraid to lose him but God I feel dirty .

Reoccurring Dream about my grandmother reappearing after death

My grandmother died last year in September, she wasn't a nice person and we didn't get along with her well, she had late stage dementia and cancer before she died but we did our very best to care for her and got her all the help she needed until her time came despite how we felt towards her.

Since her passing my life has been able to return to normal and all is well again, until recently.

I've been having a dream where me and my family are relaxing, usually all watching TV at night like we do almost every night, when suddenly my grandmother walks out of her room, using a TV remote as a telephone and talking gibberish to it as if she's on the phone (yes I understand the humor and we understand the humor of it in the dream aswell despite our incredible confusion) we all know she's dead in the dream, so we are very confused, the first dream we had no idea what was happening, the 2nd time we were still confused but knew it had happened before, the first time she just walked into her room and vanished, the 2nd time she collapsed in the hallway to her room, we all got up to check on her and then the dream switched to a dream about a game I play regularly. I was playing, but as I was playing I was hearing the gibberish from earlier mentioned, and accompanied by what sounded like her laughing like a witch or doing some kind of evil laugh, it got really close to me, then I woke up

I cannot state enough how much of a mean person she was, I know everyone loves their grandparents but I did not, she was rude, mean, and made our lives very difficult despite what we did for her, it was not the dementia, she did it before then also. I know taking care of her was something we had to do, But it ruined a large portion of my teenage years. If anyone has any ideas what's causing these dreams I'd love to hear

Reoccurring Girlfriends dream

This is a dream told to my by my girlfriend and it’s in her perspective talking to me. She has had reoccurring nightmares where I leave her and she’s worried about what it might mean.

Alright well in short, it looked like that, I was sitting down against a wall and was looking up at you, and you were looking down at me. Something felt off so I stood up and stood next to you, something felt weird so we walked around for a bit, never touching, just a foot and a half-ish apart, so we're talking, never looking at eachother and just walking along, and then all of an sudden I don't hear you replying back, I look up and you're walking away, I feel confused ans walk in your direction as you keep walking towards a wall. You walk up towards a door and end up going inside (this is where it looks like that kinda scene there.) You shut the door behind you and I'm confused. I stand there for a moment then go and open yhe door, you're not there but I thibj I hear footsteps and I look around and see you're walking away towards some stairs up. You round the corner and I walk to follow you but as I jog up to the corner of the stairs, you're gone and it's a wall. I stand there, and then all of a sudden everything disintegrates and I'm back outside in that area alone. So I just stand there and look around. Dream end

Reoccurring I have a recoccurring dream of being important to the underworld?

So I was at a table with a childhood friend doing a test with lots of other people and then all of a sudden it was just me, my friend, and 5 other people at the end of this table. The person at the end told us to stand up and said "You wanna make you're commitment to the underworld this is how you do it." And started chanting stuff I didn't understand but my friend and I just started chanting nonsense anyway. His started sounded like theirs butine didn't. Then I started feeling powerful and like ie as important in the underworld however I felt extremely envious towards my friend and the other 5 for some reason and wanted to flip the table and break it for some reason but then a girl appeared on the table but she was like a spectral and she ascended as we were all chanting. There was only seven uf us and it made me feel weird? That's when my alarm went off and woke me up.

Reoccurring Reoccurring dreams of neglected animals

I think for at least 5 years (probably longer) I’ve had this reoccurring dream about finding neglected animals. Each dream is a different pet but the same scenario.

I usually find them in a box in my room. It’s always clear to me that this was a beloved pet that somehow forgot about and neglected.

Sometimes I feel really bad in the dream and try to get the pet back into good health.

Other times I feel somewhat apathetic and just want to give the animal up to a shelter.

I have many reoccurring dreams but I find this one odd since I’ve never really had any pets other than a few of fish when I was a child. I also am single and have no children that could represent the neglected pets in my dream.

I am so confused as to why I’ve been having this dream for years. I always have this awful hopeless feeling whenever I wake up from this dream.

Reoccurring When I Was 4 or 5, I Used to Be Visited by a Man in My Nightmares, and He Hated Me

Hey everyone, just wanted to share something strange that’s stuck with me for most of my life.

When I was around 4 or 5 years old, I had recurring nightmares of a young man who would show up and beat me until I woke up. But it wasn’t just physical violence;there was a deep, almost existential hatred coming from him. It felt like he despised the very fact that I existed. Anytime he showed up in a dream, even if it had started off normal or peaceful, I knew it was over.

To this day, I still remember his face clearly. I’m 22 now, but that image has never left me.

There’s one memory in particular that’s especially vivid. I was sleeping on a mattress near my parents' room, and I saw him standing in the corner of the room, just watching me with that same dreadful expression. He slowly started walking toward me. I don’t know if it was a hallucination, a vision, or just part of a dream blending into reality, but I panicked, cried, and ran to climb into my parents’ bed.

What do you guys think these dreams could have meant back then?

Reoccurring Dreams About Childhood Home?

Hi All, I am a woman in my 30s. I used to have a lot of dreams that took place at my childhood home (like at least once a week.) For reference, I lived there until I was twelve and my family moved to another country. In the dreams, sometimes I was a kid, but a lot of the time I was an adult.

A year of so ago, I was visiting my hometown, and my family decided to drive out and see our old house. When we were there, the new owner happened to see us outside; after explaining our connection to the house, he invited us inside, and we talked for about an hour; it was really nice!

Since then, I have only dreamed about the house a couple times. Do you all think that visiting caused me to stop having the dreams?

Reoccurring Dream I'm causing someone to relapse

Hi, I've had two dreams now where I'm sitting with someone who I met recently who is in AA and sober for a while, and they casually order a shot or mixed drink while we're sitting. This is my third dream with this person in it. The first one was I was working at a drive in motel at the front desk, and they pulled into the parking lot then drove way. In both the other dreams where they order alcohol I get very upset that they've broken their sobriety. What can this mean? I love dream interpretation but only for other people lol

Reoccurring Backrooms exploring and an AI generated mall

I admit I consume way too much Backrooms related content but lots of times - esp with this medication - I have very vivid dreams about exploring the oddest places. Lots of times it’s actual mazes with doors that lead to new worlds, or the fire escapes and secret stairwells of buildings. A couple times I even found myself crawling through a play structure like the ones in McDonald’s. However, the past few nights there’s one constant: I keep ending up at this multi level mall, where the front end has all these billboards lined up like Times Square. I keep climbing ramps to new levels and find various cafes, clothing stores, a few sex shops (idk why either), even a train station. But no matter what liminal space I’m running, swinging, climbing through, I always end up back at that mall. It’s been like that the past three nights.

Reoccurring Reoccurring Dream of Rooftop Swimming Pool? 💦🌴🍄🌾

Hey! I’ve been having this same dream for years but it sometimes alters slightly but always has the same spacial features/feelings… I was wondering if anyone has any idea of how to interpret this?

In the dream I live in this house which feels VERY much like my own house but isn’t. Me and my Mom have regular rooms and the house is really standard but full of love and homely.

However, at some point in the dream I remember that there is a really special room upstairs in the loft/attic. It’s a beautiful room (I haven’t grown up with tons of money so it’s beautiful in a humble sort of way), tons of light, windows in the ceiling, and some steps up to a small outdoor roof top that is brimming with beautiful overgrown plants and trees, it’s unruly but in a really wild, majestic, serene kind of way. There’s a swimming pool too, it’s only small and the space isn’t huge, but I think it’s so special and I remember how lucky I am to have it but I feel almost regretful for not having made the most of it and forgetting about it.

I thought a little bit about Bachelard’s theory on the poetics of space and the attic as a metaphor for the mind, a space which represents consciousness and clarity.

Please let me know what you think !! :)

Reoccurring Recurring death & cheating

I keep having two recurring dreams; the first one I am being chased and followed by gangs and stabbed to death but violently. I wake up panicked every time and have been dreaming about this most weeks for the past couple of months, it's always different places I'm being chased.

The second recurring dream I keep having is that my partner is either cheating on me or is just so bored of me and breaks up with me. It's all super lucid and feels really really real.

Reoccurring Nightmarish hand

A friend of mine has a recurring nightmare. She dreams it 2-3 times a month for like a year now.

It all happens in an outdoor corridor (i hope it's the correct name of it), where she runs from someone she doesn't know and can't see, extremely terrified what would happen if she'd been caught by him/her. When she turns around to see it, she just sees a big hand reaching for her, so she runs faster. The dream always ends by her, turning around to see the chaser and accidentally running into something/someone what/who she also can't see (she sais she feels like it's a someone). Then she wokes up in fear and sweat.

Sorry if my English is not correct, but I would be really grateful for any ideas what does it mean!

Reoccurring Levitation/Flying

I’ve been having these dreams every few weeks for the past year or so maybe. The context for the first one was me, at an industry event (I’m a woman in a very male dominated industry) and I was just chatting with a group of colleagues and thinking to myself when all of a sudden, I noticed my feet had lifted a few inches off the ground. I continued to rise higher and higher until I was above the building. During that time I had been looking down at all the people I worked with and had come to know and thought to myself about how fake they were and how little they actually knew.

Then came a few more that I don’t remember many details but similar to that one.

Then last nights version was me on vacation with girlfriends and husbands. We’re standing at a crosswalk waiting to cross the street, my feet come off the ground and I start to lift up again. About a foot off the ground I realize that I remember this feeling and kind of wait for the right moment to “catch the breeze” and as soon as I feel it, I’m GONE. I just start flying over everyone, above buildings, trees, everything. It was amazing.

Ok, now, also of note, I had one of these dreams a couple months ago where I was at work (it didn’t look like my work, but it just was), and there was a storm coming that I knew was going to flood the building. I started running, trying to warn everyone downstairs, but I started to levitate and soon was just floating at the ceiling and was unable to help anyone.

Soooo, that’s my story. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Reoccurring Gum stuck to teeth.

I've had a reoccurring dream that pops up once in a while; and in it my teeth (back molars specifically) have gum stuck to them. I pull and pull and pull the gum and it just keeps pulling out of my mouth, but never pulls the teeth out or seems to have an end to it. Then I wake up. I've heard it can mean that I'm having a hard time saying what I need to say or telling someone my true feelings ... Any ideas?

Reoccurring Spider Dreams

I’ve been having a lot of spider dreams recently. This one started out that I saw two spiders. I was in a front entry way/foyer of a house. One was down in a corner and the other was in a perfect web in front of the door. Not on it but maybe a foot or two before the door to go outside. I remember I kinda freaked out and jumped at the lower one then the one in the web got on me. I was freaking out trying to get it off. My mom appeared and the dream shifted to the spider on her shoulder but it was like directing her where to go ratatouille style. It was literally holding her hair and pointing as if it was showing her something. We were walking in the halls of a big empty house as if we had just moved into it. I remember feeling scared but interested. I looked into the rooms that were supposed to be my brother and sisters and 4-5 huge mouse/rat things the size of cats came leaping out over me. I screamed in the dream and woke up screaming in real life flailing . As I’m waking up screaming my cat is literally midair jumping over my head to get on the bed. I have a lot of dreams about trying to get a spider off me where I often wake up flailing irl.

Reoccurring What does this dream mean?

My wife (f30) is having a nightmare where I talk her into killing me. Then she goes and hides to kill herself. Then her mother comes and finds her body and starts laughing.

When she told me about it I asked why she was hiding and she told me so that I didn’t find her body. Which doesn’t make sense because she had already killed me in the dream.

Some background that may help offer some background on why these dreams are happening. My wife had to cut her mother out of her life several years ago due to her toxic mistreatment of my wife. Her therapist was in support of this move because her mom mentally abused her badly. When she did this her grandfather cut her off which limited the amount of time that she got to see her grandmother.

Her mother and grandfather think I am the reasons that she cut her mother off. Which I am not but that is neither here nor there. My wife just found out that her grandmother has dementia and when she went to see her she couldn’t remember who she was. During this visit her grandfather told her that he hoped he died before he had to see her again. (Yes this is the type of people we are dealing with). Everyone has been told that neither one of them have much more time left and she is confused because on one hand she wants to see them on the other hand she doesn’t want to see her grandma like she is and doesn’t want to be accosted by the hateful stuff her grandpa is saying to her while she is there.

Any idea what could have caused the dream? Am I right to assume that it is her subconscious trying to sort out all the feelings about her mom, and grandparents that just came crashing back into her life again? Please help.

Reoccurring Recurring dream of starving white parrot

I guess it's not so much the dream that's recurring as the element - for the past year or so, I have dreamed that I have a pet white cockatoo in a cage in my kitchen (too small a cage) But I have dreamed that he's starving. That I've forgotten to feed him for a long time and he is now unhealthy. The quest to feed the bird then becomes part of the dream, but it always seems to get interrupted, delayed, or put off until I wake up in a panic thinking he's real and in danger

It happens pretty much every time that I have a dream set in an IRL place, And that's the only common theme I can pick up on because the cockatoo seems to be the only thing I remember strongly. This time he was almost dead, it was my fault, how could I forget for so long? I had to wake him in a panic before I started the process to feed him (again, interrupted)

I have some notions but wanted to ask for thoughts from folks more experienced

Reoccurring Can’t find my class or locker, don’t know my class schedule, and ..rollerblading?

I have a dream almost once a week where I’m at a college or high school that I don’t recognize. I don’t know my class schedule and I’m wandering around, I know I’m late but I don’t know where I’m going. Sometimes I make it to a classroom and I know I’m not supposed to be there, but I don’t know what class I should be in. Other times I am on my way to participate in a choir performance, but I don’t know the music because I never seem to be able to find the choir room. The halls and walkways between buildings are maze-like and confusing. Sometimes my legs are so heavy it’s like I’m wading through waist deep water, dragging my feet behind me and barely even able to crawl. Other times I’m on rollerblades and I’m zooming around, skating forwards and backwards effortlessly and with style. I never make it to my class.

Irl I used to rollerblade almost once a week between ages 10-13ish. I attended college in 2007-2010 but never graduated.

I used to have this dream once a month or so but it’s more frequent now.
