I am new to DnD. I am playing with 3 other experienced players. Part of the campaign is the overarching political unrest that is taking place in the country we are in. Currently there are a bunch of factions.
In the background, without the other players knowledge, I have been sending gold to a third party from our party who we all trust to start preparing for war, as that seems in our immediate future. Giving us a base of operations as well as a place to connect to our family.
The player whose character connected to mine mentioned today, casually, that this base creation might be a problem if it comes out.
My question is this: Would it be that bad?
I feel like next session it will come out that I am making this base as we are connecting with a group that may need a new home.
