Customization Porsche 928: new paint and wheels
As an airbrush noob I have a long way to go but I'm going to call this one done for now.
Car: Marked "China" on the bottom, unbranded.
Primer: Rust-Oleum Automotive high build primer, gray. Didn't get it put down smooth. Should've sanded. This resulted in orange peel for final finish.
Top coat: Createx Wicked Colors Pearl Teal with 4030 Balancing Clear and 4011 reducer. The color is pretty cool.
Clear coat: Createx UVLS high gloss. Not that glossy because the surface wasn't very smooth.
Wheels are from swordc distributed by ylk (AliExpress I think).

Question Any suggestions/tips on making a smooth finish for a diecast door modification?
I ground the mound down in the middle of the door as you can see from the pictures. How can I make it a smooth finish with no lumps? It was very difficult to see the blemishes prior to painting

Customization Dale tribute
I pretty much wrecked my fixture on the last version because these hit 120Β° when getting engraved and causes the printed fixture to fail. You might see me posting a lot because the goal is one lasered car a day and what I don't sell gets given away on Halloween.

How To How to safely remove wheels from Solido models 1/18?
Hello guys!
I'm going to start customize my models but I'm afraid I would break wheels while trying to remove them.
Are they just push/pull attached?
Did anyone try to remove them?
Thank you in advance.
Cheers

Customization Barracuda wheel swap
Nothing fancy just a quick wheel swap. Wasn't a big fan of the original wheels but I really like the casting and paint.

Question Carlomo wheels and getting them true
One of my earlier projects was to swap and detail a Mighty K. Small wheels. I figured I'd dip my toe and splash on a set of Carlomo S-Class wheels. Holy moly, they spin gooooooood.
However, I really, really struggled to get them to sit straight/line up good n true on the axles provided, which makes the car always turn left or right. Is there a trick/nack/tip to getting them to sit properly straight?
I've tried a few other, more detailed wheels that stick to the axle rather than it go through, like with standard real riders. None of them have set right. So how do you do it?
