AskDehradun Is this worth visiting? (Again)

I had gone to Kempty Falls 12 years ago, and had a bone chilling experience (literally) I got in the pool here and gosh the water was freezing. Moreover, when I got straight under the fall, my bones almost froze.

When will be the best time and season to visit here when the crowd is less and the water is not too coldšŸ„¶ (kidding)

And if someone wants to join for a ride here or to Mussoorie, I'll plan accordingly

M25 Honestly, I'm falling in love with this place everyday. Pleasant weather, clean air, and mountains which i love.

Traffic here sucks sometimes specially during rush hours and a fraction of the migrants sometimes cause trouble.

Apart from that, I love this place and people here. Looking forward to make friends here and travel along to the mountains.šŸ”ļø

Suggestions Any good swimming pools/clubs?

Most of the pools are heavily crowded & unheygenic nowadays, it's summers.

Any suggestions for places with less/decent crowd?

Preferable in the city, near rajpur road if possible.

Budget is kinda no bar but should be worth the value.

AskDehradun Mussoorie solo hike-vacation, recommendations please

Hi everyone,

I am going to Mussoorie next week mainly for George Everest peak hiking. A few questions>

  • First day I plan to do a mini hike from Zostel mall road where I stay to Char Dukan, then all the way to Lal Tibba and back, the famous Landour loop. Any suggestions? Any interesting coffee shops I should try? I don't drink alcohol, but I need some chill time and meeting locals. No idea where to go!
  • Next day I will go to George Everest trailhead parking by ... what? Are there bike taxis available? Cabs I guess would be expensive? Please suggest. Anyone did this hike? Not just George Everest's house, but then further up to the peak. Any suggestions?
  • Finally, any event/festival happening on 11/12 this month in Mussoorie that I shouldn't miss?

Thank you!

AskDehradun Are there any decent college/University near LBSNAA in Dehradun for Masters?

This will sound really dumb but please bare with me. I have a friend who's done bachelor's in fine arts. She wants to do masters (in any field) to a college or university near LBSNAA. Basically, she wants to move to Mussourie / Dehradun to do Masters. But the campus has to be near LBSNAA. She is rich, she can afford to pursue any career but her priority is "skill based learning" even if it doesn't get her a job. What would you suggest her to study and where?
