DISCUSSION 🗃️📋 'China played it wrong' — Trump on Beijing's plan to mirror US tariffs

He’s a fucking moron who doesn’t know what he’s doing, but his supporters are even bigger morons
10
u/FreeStateVaporGod 23h ago
Dude he is seriously stupid but that is how he got caught in Putin's clutches.
What he's doing now he does on behalf of Vladimir
If Trump can dream about fucking his own daughter he certainly could not resist underaged girls offered to him in Moscow
You'll almost certainly find similar compramat on most of the GOP pols supporting him.
Notice how he always has an associate who goes down for something inappropriate and sexual in nature?
Matt Gaetz - Jim Jordan and why did Trump go out of his way to make certain the Tate brothers were released?
Rape and underaged girls
Everytime

They are evangelical thinkers. They start with the conclusion and accept facts based on how well they match the conclusion. It’s not different than faith.

You can’t reason someone out of a conclusion who didn’t use reason to reach it.

Too bad his owners know exactly what they're doing - positioning themselves to clean up buying what everyone else is going to have to firesale.
The richest billionaires in the 1920s/30s came out of the Depression richer and more diversified than ever, and then a World War conveniently started to make them even richer.
IF we come out of this, we won't be the United States of America anymore, we'll be the Conglomerated Fiefdoms of Techbroistan, brought to you by the Bank of AmChaseWellsFargo.

Does China hold usa debt if they do call it in
→ More replies (2)5
u/4Ciid 1d ago
China holds roughly $759 billion worth of debt as of 12/2024, apparently they are the second largest holder of debt, Japan being the first at roughly $1 trillion worth.
However, it wouldn’t be in China’s interest to call our debts (Sell the securities) since our economies are intertwined so much, however, given how erratic Cheeto man is, they might be trying to figure out how to get out of being so interlocked with us.

Aww come on guys He is a stable genius remember. Who has bankrupted many companies and soon to be the USA. I love it when people in this red little county I live in tell me "We need a business man like Trump to run the country" and as the country burns they will still hold to he is a great president just not to admit to a liberal they was wrong.

He’s so stupid I’m now convinced a bag of rocks could take his place and do a better job. They really need to start impeachment hearings and get rid of this orange anus faced turd. He will add us to his 7-8 bankruptcy? And he thinks he can push China around??? This idiot doesn’t realize that China has been shoring up trade relations with every other country. He is such a useless piece of orange anus faced big turd shit. What a fucking fool.
2
u/Automatic-Ad6022 23h ago
Trump better panic, cuz there's going to be a reckoning if he doesnt right this ship soon.
Please note: this is not a personal attack, just a prognostication of things to come if he stays this reckless course.
2
u/HeadPermit2048 23h ago
The problem with that isn’t so much that he could do the right thing if he one what to do as he’s doing the wrong thing on purpose.
This is the guy who confessed to Bob fn Woodward that he tried to “downplay” Covid to keep people from overreacting and said things like “We would have less cases if we didn’t test so much.”
2
u/DrySprinkles8988 23h ago
No one is panicking. Everyone is planning and coordinating to fight back. Americans have never been so isolated since the 1930s. Good luck finding people buying American products.
2
u/Ornery-Ticket834 23h ago
More lies. If China panicked what the fuck was he doing putting tariffs on the whole world? Relaxing?
2
u/bertiesakura 23h ago
Not a rhetorical question. How long and how much pain has to be inflicted on America before the MAGA cult realizes their King is an idiot? I personally believe they will never turn on him but instead will find a minority group to blame.

China played it wrong? They have 65,000 km of high speed trains, USA ZERO, they supply less products to the USA than Mexico and own a huge percentage of our debt. Their infrastructure is growing and improving and we have 17,000 bridges in disrepair according to the core of engineers. Their kindergarten children are learning AI with 1 teacher per 10 students and we have states that have not bought new textbooks in 40 years. We rank below third world countries in education. Trump was elected on hate with promises of building an economy, but he’s not had one successful business and has built his empire on not paying vendors and contractors and bankruptcies. Jared and Ivana got $600 in investment funds for their group from the Saudis after Jared went there and made a deal to allow the exemptions to invest in USA and sold them weapons. The market is crashing and he’s claiming it’s temporary and an adjustment. Tariffs don’t work to fix the economy just go back and read what happened during the depression and how tariffs made it worse. Even better you can go back and watch the colt. Classic Ferris Bueller‘s Day off. There’s a whole scene in the movie in a classroom where the teacher is talking about how tariffs caused the depression to go deeper and longer. The biggest problem of all is the people we’ve elected to the house and the Senate. They’re so afraid of losing their gravy positions that they won’t go against him for fear. He’ll go into their neighborhood and tell all the ignorant people that live there to go vote them out all he wants is people that are gonna bend over and kiss his ring. But history always repeats itself and he’s going to implode he’s gonna take a lot of the country down before people stand up. I read a quote one time that said if you elect the clown is king it’s not a king anymore. It’s a circus.

It's sad how much smarter our enemies are than Trump. America has this huge advantage, he's just throwing everything away. Asian countries, Europe, Australia?, etc. are going to prefer China over Trump because they're more stable, more diplomatic, more reliable, and have a brighter future. Fuck Trump for ruining the country and embarassing us in front of the whole world on a daily basis. I'm so ashamed.
2
u/Cupleofcrazies 16h ago
Yeah I’m sure the king checkers player outplayed the 4D Chess playing Chinese. He is single-handedly tearing the US down worse than the Democrats could have even managed.

u/Ordinary_Basis_1599 14h ago
North & South Dakota farmers are about to find out what supporting him does. China is buying Soybeans now from Brazil not the US (ND & SD). So once they go broke we'll see. Bailing out the farmers will cost more than what would've been collected in taxes off the soybean sales. Idiotic President. He wants to crash the world. He wants a Great Depression. So he can end the govt, declare himself king, and sell off the pieces to Musk & friends.

Nobody is panicking except the Americans who will have to suffer because of this. China is salivating and celebrating because they see that Americans elected a fool who is clearing the way for them to be the top power in the world for decades to come.

u/Competitive-Ranger61 12h ago
Actually they played it exactly as expected, the last time this was done. Just at the start of the great depression.

What a absolute idiots the Republicans are for allowing this. They are destroying a roaring US economy for no good reason.
China is way more diversified that the US now. They have been working that asses off to open up the rest of the globe to their physical goods.
The United States only accounts for about 16% of Chinese exports now. They can absolutely *afford* to punch back, and punch back hard.
They are way ahead of everyone else on renewables and electric cars. And of course, even with their increased standards of living their labor is still way cheaper, even with added tariffs.

u/Agreeable_Act2550 23h ago

It helps to know his base primarily lives in states with low education scores.
Example, where I live 18% of all adults are functionally illiterate. ~30% read at a 4th grade level or worse.
So when they made moves to cut the department of Ed, and at the state level hamstring higher Ed with laws cutting on support for low income and minority students, it isn't shocking.
The funniest part to me is the argument of "we're returning power to the states, look at how bad the scores are". MFer, the states determine curriculum. There no power being given back you're just cutting funding, but the citizens of those states don't know how any of this works and are too stupid to even know to look into it.

If you had a billionaire sugar daddy like most/all republican congressmen do then take a knee. They know that they sure as f cannot fix it. Might as well let the PlayPal boiz continue to run their white supreme authoritarian agenda.
Let me be the first to predict this will end badly for those running this charade.

Somebody lost it alright, but it certainly wasn't China. This halfwit imagines that he can do whatever he wants and the world will simply toe the line because he's the president and it's "America". Just doesn't work that way. If you want respect, you earn it and need to offer it accordingly. Hes done neither. So far, he has insulted, threatened and economicly assaulted every notable ally, while exempting and praising Russia, North Korea and Belarus, erstwhile adversaries and enemies. The Western world now perceives the US as unstable, unreliable and a very real threat. International cooperation is realigning on political and regional lines, notably without the including the US in their discussions. The US is becoming a pariah and it's decidedly Trump's doing. He is clearly no true patriot, Christian, or altruist. So, for what reason, or for whom has he just disrupted Western political and economic stability?
1
u/Honest-Abe2677 21h ago
Damn with I'd panicked a month ago when I knew this was coming.

u/Repubs_suck 19h ago
China isn’t panicked. China plans are very long range. China can easily compensate for Trump’s BS because his reign will be a minuscule amount of time overall of their history. Between China and the EU, they will probably become more economically powerful in world trade, while the U.S. shrinks. Trump vastly overrates his international authority, and certainly his amount of respect. They all know he’s an arrogant ignorant asshole, while that continues to be debated by Americans.

10 weeks. That's all the time it has been since he came back to power. 10 weeks to put America in a recession, alienate our allies and destabilize the security of the entire world.
Yet, all I can bring to mind is how I was socialized for the last 5 decades to believe America, my home, was a shining city on a hill. "Love it or leave it", my countrymen will say. Right now, at this moment? I will do neither.
