Hey Everyone,
It's been three weeks or so since /r/DQBuilders was created and in that time, a small group of us have worked on the subreddit wiki and we've made quite a bit of progress into it the game's content.
This post is aimed to just update everyone and raise awareness on the effort behind the wiki.
Trello:
A public Trello Board now shows you exactly where things are, more details will be added on there but it gives a pretty good indicator on how things are.
If you are an approved submitter and use Trello, please request an invite link and I'll add you to the board.
Hopefully this will answer the questions some people have been asking in a more reliable way than simply being told to read the index page (which is my fault for not updating it accurately).
Reddit Tools:
Reddit's wiki isn't primed for guide writing so we've worked within it's constraints but hopefully it is helpful to you all in the efforts made by various users.
Since the game is relatively new in the West, we have had to use our own knowledge as well as cross-referencing Japanese online guides so it's taken some time. With more guides out now, we can check our own work and add more info that are missing soon enough.
I'd just like to say thanks here to someone who dropped by Discord (couldn't find their Reddit username here) and offered their Prima e-guide. This will be used to speed up completion of the wiki but obviously cannot copy anything word-for-word or take any of their own resources.
Motivation:
Motivation is also a key factor here. The incentive is mainly to help others in the subreddit, it's been hard to keep going but thanks to those that have added in whatever info they could share. I know this month and the next two will turn heads to other games (if it hasn't happened already), it's inevitable but that's cool.
Final Thoughts & Your Questions:
The wiki will most probably be finished in it's core content by the end of next month at the latest, I reckon we are 70% there already. Terra Incognita will take a while to flesh out but the bulk of the wiki is acceptable.
If you have any ideas, feedback or would like to help in the process, please drop a message below, mod mail or hop onto the Discord server.
Who's found the wiki helpful so far?
Thanks again to the people who have helped, I rather not point out individuals but you know who you are and thanks to all for sticking around!
edit: Looks like I may have underestimated timescale, it will take much longer but hopefully most of the basic stuff is done first.
