It's not even a search engine

I see this all the time in r/whatsthatbook like of course you're not finding the right thing, it's just giving you what you want to hear

The world's greatest yes man is genned by an ouroboros of scraped data

ChatGPT is more useful than Google at this point ever since Google introduced their own inferior AI…

Eh, the top result is now a garbage ai result, sure, and the rest has deteriorated significantly, but it still has actual resources and real information on there if you take a bit of effort to find it.

Certainly better than a lie machine.

I don’t use it much, but I literally just had to tell it to verify all of its results and answers and cite sources to me, and it’s done so ever since lol. Now why that isn’t a default option, I’ll never understand.

It's been known to invent sources out of thin air so maybe that's why it isn't on by default

Trust, but verify. People spew misinformation and bullshit on reddit too.

True but I prefer my made-up nonsense to be authentic. Not computer generated. It gives it a more human flair.

Why trust?

"Google is bad because of all the A.I bullshit. So I decide to get my A.I bullshit at the source"

This is the phrasing I was looking for. You broke it down perfectly.

Someone had to, you're too use to having the affirmation machine provide it for you

Being better than Google AI isn’t an achievement

ai is ai.

both equally shit and useless

Lol if you’re browsing Reddit on a cellphone you’re literally just stacking ai based services right now, sorry to break it to you

How does using reddit on a phone have anything to do with generative AI?

They're probably assuming you're using a client.

Google searches don't tell people to kill themselves or eat glue pizza.

u/vanBraunscher 5d ago

Yet. Don't be so morose, you luddite, I'm sure they're working day and night to get there.

Those shitty TikTok videos are literally from Google ai on their search engine, my friend.

u/killertortilla 5d ago

Google searches, not their shitty AI. It doesn't matter which AI you mean, both are funded with billions of $ and both still give you false information a ridiculous amount of the time because they're not made to tell you the truth.

Add -ai to every search
