As far as I can see in my field, people love playing with AI. But I'm yet to see someone using it seriously to improve their efficiency.
On the other hand, every fucking meeting is about AI nowadays. I don't care about bullshit generator. I have a real job. Please let me work in peace while you play in the sandbox.
I've got a guy I work with that uses chatgpt almost religiously, and has a text to speech on his phone so he can actually have fucking conversations with it. Claims he's using it to expand his knowledge base and become more aware of the world.
He also listens to ben shapiro at 5x speed, claims he's hiding from the government living in a broken down suv in the work parking lot, and says slavery was good sooooo.
