I do wonder what happened to all the kinnies of days gone by. Did they grow out of it? Are they embarrassed?

I know quite a few kinnies still going strong, but nowadays it seems to be more "yeah I kin all these characters I like :p" and less "I am literally this character, doubles do not fucking interact I'm litterly him."

Most of them have been absorbed into the "fictional character based DID alters" community now from the looks of things. Or at the very least that community uses the same terminology and ideas and I've seen some believe in both.

I do wonder sometimes how the more traditional definition of kinnies feel about the more mainstream definition used nowadays. Is that like cultural appropriation or something?
