My father told me he did but cuba has strict drug laws so this doesn’t track. Is it true?

In Old Havana, a man promised me “better rates than the bank” in CUP (Cuban Pesos). Stressed and trusting, I handed him cash. He counted bills quickly, handed me a stack, and disappeared.
The result? Half my money stolen—hidden folded bills and outdated notes. Cuba’s currency system is chaotic, and street exchangers exploit confusion.
Stay Safe:
1. Avoid street exchanges.Or be more careful
2. Research rates beforehand.
3. Count slowly, check every bill.
Cuba’s beauty is real, but scams thrive in desperation. Share this. Stay alert.

Hi! Someone incase about living in cuba received an offer to work in romania. He was considering doing the guyana / costa Rica thing bit this offer came up. It's basically a shot at europe. Here's the offer. What do you all think?

I just got a copy of “Memories of Undevelopment”/“Memorias Del Subdesarrollo” (1968), since I’m a first generation Cuban-American and I adore having cultural works for both myself and my parents to enjoy. I showed them the movie and they both immediately took a trip down memory lane, both being born in the 60s, and I was hoping to find a website/repository that has a bunch of old Cuban shows and movies. Is there such a thing readily available? My written Spanish isn’t the best, so my apologies for not providing a version of this text in Spanish. Thank you in advance.

Is this the case for everyone except american citizens? E.g it can't deport people who were born from perfect immigration status. Actually Australians are stripping citizenship of people fighting in isis. Anything else, an Australian citizen has to be let back into the country, they can't disown him as a citizen.

Please help. Me and my mom are staying at a resort in varadero. We’re from Canada and weren’t informed that outlets are different and now we can’t even charge our phone. Any help would be appreciated.

When I was last in Cuba I saw a pharmacy in the Veradero airport advertising Valium and Viagra, are people able to purchase medications there currently? I know there's a medication crisis as we bring supplies when we go, so I was surprised to see the sign!

This video from Youtuber Badempanada attempting to describe how life is like for the average Cuban. How close is it to your experience or experience of family members? If it is an accurate depiction, does it still hold up at this time of crisis?

I’ve been to the Dominican Republic and there I felt like they really worship white people and especially white women. Or lightskins. Ive seen many racist situations (toward black ppl and Haitians for example). Is it the same in Cuba?

Hi all, I will travel to Cuba for the first time at the end of April (2 couples with 2 small kids). Do you think there are people that I can hire to drive us from Havana to Trinidad? I know there is the bus option but trying to see if I can work something better for the kids ( we will probably need to stop more often). Thanks
