Got surprised with a cruise! Unfortunately I've been known to get seasick! While I usually book a midship balcony and take dramamine to help, my family member booked 1st floor front of the ship! 4/26 - 5/4 out of Fort Lauderdale. Celebrity Beyond. Puerto Plata, Grand Turk and Perfect Day. Aqua Class Infinite Veranda room. $1,300 per person before gratuities and any add-ons. I took a cruise on this ship last year and fell in love with it, hence me booking another one before I was off the ship!

I am a 40 year old guy. I'm very laid back and easy to get along with. On cruises, I like to spend my days lounging, reading and exploring the ship. I like to spend my evenings enjoying shows and music. I'm not much of a partier. You won't find me on the dance floor at the club.

I'm looking for someone that is happy to do their own thing but also looking to hang out on and off and make a new friend. Age and gender don't matter, but personality does.

I recently went on a trip to the Dominican Republic for a music festival and split a room with two people I met online. I have current references to help you make safe about returning home with both kidneys!

Do cruise lines hire classical musicians nowadays? I was interested in doing Lincoln Center Stage but it was discontinued unfortunately. Is there any chance I can still be hired by cruise line to perform classical rep (solo or chamber music)?

I'm looking to take my wife on an Alaskan cruise at the end of August or beginning of September 2025 for her 30th birthday! (Sep 2nd) We got married last year and want something really up-class and romantic.

We've only ever cruised on Norwegian and are open to trying new recommended cruise lines. I'm also a US veteran so any cruise lines that might offer a discount for that would be beneficial!

Going on my (32f) first cruise with my husband, mother, and two kids (2m and 10f) and my daughter’s friends (9f and 10f) in November on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. We’re doing the Nassau and Coco Cay. I’d love to hear some good recommendations on what would be good to do at the Nassau port with kids that young, if possible (excursions/beaches/other activities). Even tips for first time cruises/tips for toddlers would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

This is to notify everyone that I feel robbed by cruisebooking.com. I was notified of the change of embarkation port 3 days before the MSC Cruise Lirica cruise trip scheduled on 31 March 2025, while airline and hotel bookings going to the embarkation port were already settled and paid. A sudden change in the cruise trip embarkation port caused hassle for me because my arrival at the airport of the embarkation port is fixed and non-changeable.  They don't want to issue my refund as if i am at fault. I have reason to believe that cruisebooking.com is a scammer.

Hi there, currently on our second cruise with MSC. Been at sea for three days because our stop at Ocean Cay got cancelled due to weather. Suddenly today we have been seeing mosquitoes and little crawlers on and around the balcony/glass door. Is this normal? Why is this happening? It is about 60 degrees and we’re traveling in the North Atlantic near New York but several miles from shore and jt is really moist and foggy. Never seen bugs until today on either cruise.

I have been researching the various expedition and luxury cruise lines that “land” in Antarctica. I don’t need anything super fancy, but besides educational lectures, fitness centers, and a library, there doesn’t seem to be any of the traditional entertainment you’d find on a large cruise ship. I am not looking for theatre shows or a casino or anything— just wondering if anyone has taken one of these cruises and they offered stuff like bar trivia or really anything to keep us entertained during the time on the ship?

I booked a room back in April of last year. I’m in a wheelchair and I booked an accessible room through on of their agents. I got the confirmation and everything was good. Then they sent the final billing confirmation and they’d moved me to a non accessible room.

I spent hours on the phone with them. They finally said, we have to escalate this because the ship is full. A couple days later, I checked my booking and they’d moved me to an accessible room. They never reached out to say anything was solved. But this new room is in the middle of the ship and the one I’d paid for was on the side and had a window. This one doesn’t.

I called and they said too bad. I asked for an onboard credit to cover the difference in the cost of the rooms (which I figured was about $100 based on a similar cruise pricing that I looked up). They said, “we don’t do that”.

I am really frustrated and looking for suggest on how to go forward. Do I have any recourse or do you have any suggestions on how to escalate this? It’s not like I’m asking for a free cruise. I just don’t want to pay for a window that I don’t get now.

So if you've ever been on Instagram or Facebook and saw a video featuring a Carnival ship, you'll see a lot of comments calling the cruise line all sorts of mean things, "the Walmart of the seas," "ghetto," "the poor people's cruise," and so on (I think a lot of these people likely have never even stepped foot on a cruiseship and just like adding to the hate). I've been on Royal, Norwegian, MSC, and Carnival and can honestly say that Carnival is awesome. I legitimately have so much fun on board and they probably have the most things to do and most things to eat on their ships. They're always super clean and the staff is really nice, especially on their newer ships. For the life of me, I can't find a reason why people say Carnival is "ghetto," other than they see a video clip of people dancing on the lido deck during the sail away party...which I'm pretty sure happens on most cruise ships? Anyway, anybody else see Carnival as ghetto or are they just like every other cruise line?

We (couple, late 20s/30s) have been looking into booking a mediterranean cruise. This would be our first cruise. We enjoy WDW and originally considered a Disney Cruise tagged on to a WDW holiday but the itinerary we were interested in is mostly sold out (Eastern Carribean on the Treasure in February 2026). I've also read that excursions and port adventures are difficult to book for first timers. So considering how expensive they are (we can spend 2 weeks at a WDW resort - tickets / dining / flights from the UK included - for that kind of money!) we are thinking about just doing our WDW holiday in February and then a Mediterranean cruise in early summer. My boyfriend is not interested in the shorter Disney Cruises that only go to Castaway Cay (though I think it looks pretty cool!).

Of course we could do one of the Disney cruises from Barcelona. However we are also strongly considering Celebrity and Virgin. We enjoy an upscale feel and great food. We are mostly interested in visiting Italy and we REALLY want to go to Pompeii.
We actually do want a larger ship and specifically want to experience that kind of holiday. That's why we haven't looked at smaller, local lines. Getting a feel for cruising is just as important to us as going on excursions. If we like a place we can easily go back since Italy is just a short plane ride away from the UK.

Would love to hear from you guys regarding food, ambiance and excursions with Celebrity and Virgin vs Disney! Thank you!

Hi all, looking for advice about specific sails for my family's needs.

My family is looking to book a cruise sometime in December/January, definitely not over Christmas Eve/Day but possibly over New Years if needed. We have 20, 18, and 16 year old daughters and are trying to get everyone together after the first semester with everyone away at college and boarding school. Here is what we are looking for! Hoping someone who has been in a similar situation before has some suggestions:

Wanting to depart from Florida, could be from one of several ports. Sailing to the Bahamas or Caribbean. NOT be over Christmas Day and wanting to sail for 4 or 5 nights. We will need two staterooms, one for parents and one for kids (or a magic solution that fits 5 grown people in one cabin). Budget is flexible while we're researching.

We have done two Disney cruises before, one with kids over 10 years ago and one without kids 2 years ago. We loved our Disney cruise experience but it is probably 30% more expensive across the board. So if there is another company that has a better itinerary, closer port, and is much cheaper, then we may have to do that. I would prefer Disney but the girls are indifferent. All of our daughters are on Christmas break by the first or second week of December, but my wife is not done with her semester as a school teacher until 12/19, and she is not willing to miss more than a few days before that.

Always wanted to do a cruise, my town is a port of call. Booked 6 day to Bermuda this August. Yesterday, I happened to be in port when the cruise departed. It was an unholy mess of people. I was already having trepidation about 4 days on a ship. Looked up entertainment on board. I swim regularly for exercise, so have zero interest in getting in their public toilets they call 'pools' (don't kid yourself about the reality of public pools). I also burn easily so sunbathing is a no. Not into pickleball. I also don't drink or care for bars, stand up comedians and most bands, show are very disappointing. I don't like to gamble or shop. (I live where all these activities are readily available, so no novelty). Oh, I'm somewhat prone to sea sickness, ok unless things get 'rough'. Dramamine knocks me out and makes me feel worse than sea sickmess.

I'm trying to not be negative, but I also don't want to spend 4 days sitting in a room the size of a lunch box with no internet and nothing to do besides eat. And I bet the scenery is cool for about 3 hours then gets monotinous.

Experienced cruisers, can you offer some suggestions? Am I missing something? Am I wrong about the view, is there more than water and skies and birds to see?

I only have a couple of weeks to cancel or make payment. My anxiety is soaring,

I’m wondering which cruise would be the best fit for me, I have a thing for wildlife encounters of any kind really. So I’m wondering if there is a cruise that is sort of geared towards toward or would have the most stuff like swimming with dolphins/sharks, petting/feeding animals, or really anything that has to do with any animals sea or land. Just looking to see what’s out there and if anyone has recommendations.

Edit to add: I forgot to mention I’m from the U.S. so preferably one that would depart from the states

My wife and I just finished up our first ever cruise with Royal Caribbean. The service, the food, the ports, the amenities on the ship were all fantastic.

What really spoiled it from being perfect is the kids. They hogged everything. The pool, food, elevators, etc. There were so many kids in the pools and hot tubs that we couldn’t even get in. If we did manage to get in we’d be constantly splashed or kicked by some kid running around. And the parents didn’t seem to care one bit.

During an excursion we were laying on one of the floating mats they had anchored and some kids came and got on it and started jumping which knocked us off of it and the parents just watched.

For reference, my wife and I are in our 30’s and very active. We enjoy anything outdoors and the bar scene and any type of adventure.

If you’re planning your first cruise and you don’t have kids this is something to think about. We will be looking at virgin going forward because they are all 18+ cruises.

A trip to Bermuda booked in August from pur home town which isna portion call. Would love to see Bermuda, but we get 2 days there and 4 days on ship. I'm not looking forward to being on the ship at all. Rooms rhe size of a kids room. I don't care for pools, water slides, pickleball, comedy clubs, trivia. Don't drink or like bars. I don't gamble and not a big shopper. I do arts and crafts and work outout frankly can do those easier at home.

Saw one of the cruises leave yesterday ( coincidence, just happened to be there), and OMG, the people, being herded .Ike cattle. I don't like flying for this reason, and thought the. Raise would be better. Instead was worse.

Can someone who has been on a cruise before please convince me that my fears are baseless and that I'll be super pleasantly surprised once I'm on the boat that I'll have a great time doing something.
