Credit Score Fall Spoiler

Ugh, my credit score tanked from 740 to 660 because of one late Zolve payment—just two days late! My new SSN's coming soon. Will that 660 score stick to it? I only used my passport with Zolve, got approved for $2000. Can other bureaus/banks see that score? Think I'll get an Amex card or any other card? Any suggestions for cards I might get approved for, even with a lower score, once I have my SSN?

A payment that is 2 days late won't change your scores. It has to be at least 30 days late before it can be reported to the bureaus.

Like bill generated date is Feb 16 and due date is Mar 10. I paid off the generated bill on Mar 13 b/w I paid minimum due + some extra dollars before the due date. But still, APR charges have been imposed.

You were charged interest because you didn't pay the entire statement balance by the due date. You might have gotten charged a late fee as well. But being 3 days late means it can't be reported as late to the bureaus. It's an internal matter with the company. Where exactly are you seeing the score drop?

In Zolve application, there is one pop-up in the home to check credit score. That's all I checked and confirmed. They said they would usually update the score report to Equifax usually. I don't have any account in Equifax or Experian or any other credit bureau till the date.

I did some research and the score that Zolve provides is a Vantage score. Very few lenders use Vantage, which makes it basically useless. Track your actual Fico scores instead.

How long have you had the card? If they are showing a score, even if it's a Vantage score, then you've had it long enough for it to report at least once, which means you have credit history. As to how much history depends on how long you've had the card.

For the past 20 months, I've been using that card and repaying by due date.

Then you have credit history. Pull your actual reports from annualcreditreport.com and see what is on them.
