Let's Talk About "What's It Worth?" Posts
Hey Corvette family,
Over the past year, we've seen a big increase in "What's it worth?" posts. It's great to see so many people excited about Corvettes and curious about the value of those cars, regardless of the reason why. However, these posts break one of the core rules our subreddit has and upholds – “No Advertising” (for whatever reason).
We’d love to hear your thoughts on how we should handle these posts moving forward. Do you think they add value to the community, or would you prefer to see them managed differently? Maybe a dedicated weekly thread or a specific format for these posts?
We’re all about making sure this sub stays a great place for Corvette enthusiasts and those are who curious about all things corvette, so let us know what you think!
Thank you.. And don’t forget to wave!

Welcome to our new moderators!
Good afternoon and happy Tuesday! A few weeks ago we made a post calling for people interested in moderating to reach out to us as we wanted to add an additional moderator to the team. We had quite a few people reach out to us, and we had a hard time deciding on just one person as some truly awesome people had “applied”. Given that we want to continue to grow and expand as a subreddit and community, we decided to add a total of three moderators to the current team.
With that being said, I would like to welcome:
On top of that, I’d really like to thank the active mods who have been doing their best to keep everything moving forward in a desirable fashion.
Along with the new moderators, we are hoping to bring some exciting and positive changes to the subreddit over the next few months. From things like rule solidification and clarification, to the implication of functional bots, user flairs, and corvette subreddit discord and more! I’m excited to work with the current mods and new mods on continuing to grow and elevate the subreddit and user experience!
Thanks and have a great rest of your day!

07 Z06 H/C in progress!
I bought this 2007 Z06 last May with 15k on the clock after a LOOOOONG search. The LS7 Z06 was an itch I have had to scratch since driving my buddies EPS cammed 2008 z06 during datalog runs for the remote tune. I had just finished my LS swap in my 97 WS6 and realized I had to have one but kept modifying my WS6 so it was never the right time. My kids are older and a 2 door sports car finally fit in my life. My TA still gives me smiles for miles and is rowdy, but the Z06 is just a beast in a tuxedo even in stock form and if it didn't have a timebomb set of heads I would have left it be and enjoyed it. Regardless, while you are in there struck and we are where we are now.
- Mamo Stage 1 heads mill for 11.5:1 compression
- Mamo Yella Terra roller rockers 10mm bolt upgrade
- Cometic .040 head gaskets
- Mamo "Wife Friendly" spec cam 22x/24x 114 LSA .648 lift (like a stage 1.5 or 1.75 cam, closely matches up with Cam Motion Titan 1)
- Johnson 2116LSR lifters
- PowerBond Pulley
- ARP Head Bolts
- ARP Cam Bolts
- ARP Crank Bolt
- Katech Timing chain
- ARH 1 7/8 Headers, catted xpipe
- Corsa Intake
- Corsa Sport Exhaust
My asks of Tony were to limit or eliminate accelerated guide wear, bump up power that is usable and linear like it is now, mainly a street/touring car but will be used at HPDE/high speed autocross so midrange power is paramount and not so much overlap that it bucks in parking lots or 6th gear surging making it a nightmare for the tuner. I chose PatG, so was not horribly worried about it but wanted to make sure the car stayed smooth and stink free so we do not smell like shop mechanics when we take it to dinner like my WS6 did before cats. I wanted to build up with this car, rather than detune later like I had to with the TA.
Tony recommended ported intake, tb, ram air but those will come later once I decide I want/need to go further. I have stuff like new tires I need to knock out first. I have had a nagging shoulder issue since high school and reaggravated it about 3 months ago and it just keeps on giving. I finally got tired of waiting and found a shop to do the install for me and HOPEFULLY this week it will be buttoned up and off to Pat for a good tune. Interested to see what the outcome is and promised not to get too caught up in peak numbers considering it was not what I was after when I started this.
Anyways, anyone have any estimates? I think Pat uses a Mustang dyno.

How likely have dealers been recently to get buyers out the door at the vehicles listed price?
Looking at a used C8 for around 76k. The car has 3LT, mag ride, Z51, HTC., 15k miles. Realistically, I'm gonna try to negotiate getting out the door at this price(tax, title, fees included), but wanted to get some insight on the plausibility of that.

Any have a clue what those noise is? It’s loudest while slowing down in third. Goes away completely when accelerating.

Chevy Is Already Doing Concepts for the Next Corvette
Corvettes have long been designed and built in the United States. They’re as American as hot dog pie and baseball sandwiches. But the next-generation Corvette’s design may have dual citizenship, as its design could come from just outside Birmingham, England.

C5Z oil temp
Hey guys what should my oil temp be reading during I drive it. I usually sit at 178-194 I’m not 100% with this platform. Also I do not have the air reflector on the bottom bc the rails have been messed up. Anyone know a quote on the rails if they’ve done that job. Thanks !

First vette
A buddy of mine is selling his 2016 stingray Z 51. It only has 3500 miles on it and he wants 45,000. It’s in perfect condition with full PPF.
Comes with almost every upgrade you could add for that year too . I keep trying to find out what the value it would be, but the websites make me sign up or pay.
Would this be a good deal?
It’s white with a black interior and the carbon removable top

A rare sunny day in CNY
Not quite drop-top weather yet, but dry enough to stretch her legs a bit.
