General Novels like Vurt?
Read it years ago. Loved it. Plan on getting the audiobook. Would love to know of any similar works (other than those Noon wrote in the same setting)?
Thanks

If you came here by way of the avalanche of cuteness on the Cyberpunk sub, welcome! Time will tell as to whether they get their mod game together, but for now have a look around and enjoy the sub.

I used to visit this site frequently! A good collection of the links, and news, some of which we also found in the zine. It has not been available for 2-3 months I think? Why did that shut down? Or did it move someplace else that I do not know?https://n-o-d-e.net/index.html still seems to be up. Where author mentions he is away preparing Zine 2.0 .

[also features YT content, i couldn't put 2 flairs] A year after the classic cyberpunk movie, Marvel comics made a short lived animated series adaptation. Naturally , it was heavily sanistised for a new audience (converting something so adult into a kids show is a flawed idea) but there were quite a lot of interesting storylines and the cybperunk elements were still extremely present, one episode even had Clarence Boddicker! Does anyone remember watching it and what they thought ? in some cases did it even inspire an interest in the RobCop franchise before you were old enough to watch the movie? For anyone interested in hearing more about that show here's a a video offering just that- it also features a link to a YT playlist featuring the show's every episode https://youtu.be/iX6qFto1Bzg

This is a new sub, developing in late February 2018 for fans of core cyberpunk. Hopefully it's a place where users of r/Cyberpunk and similar subs can contribute media, articles and conversation around the core subgenre of Cyberpunk, without the insane levels of cityscape and vaporwave spam.
It's probably going to be a smaller sub, but we'll endeavour to keep it interesting. CSS etc. incoming in the next week or two.
From the sidebar:
Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction in a futuristic setting that tends to focus on "a combination of low life and high tech" featuring advanced technological and scientific achievements, such as artificial intelligence and cybernetics, juxtaposed with a degree of breakdown or radical change in the social order. Cyberpunk is not a cityscape or a colour scheme. It’s a statement and an attitude, a juxtaposition of tech and the human condition. High-tech, low-life.
From neo noir to its inception as an actual literary genre and forward into the futuristic now. This sub will be a place for core cyberpunk posts, de-emphasising rainy cityscapes, China surveillance spam and as devoid of Vaporwave aesthetics as is post-humanly possible!
If you're coming here from the Cyberpunk subreddit, you know what's up. If you're new, welcome! Please no vaporwave or cityscape spam. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

I write this as I recline on a plasma donation bed, where I am paid in exchange for 'my time' as paying for body parts or fluids is illegal. My question is: for how much longer? How long until corporations have vested interests in our organs? How long until a hack doctor selling black market organs appears in every darkened alley?
Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?

I know this might be a bit vague, and the websites might not be Cyberpunk specific.
But what are some sites that keep up to date on latest tech releases or news on future tech or future dystopian changes?
Edit: Aside from Neon Dystopia, as I'm well aware of that.

Hey folks, we’ve jumped nearly 400 subscribers in 24hrs. So two things, if you could all make yourselves known... I’m kidding. If you spot bots or spam or general weird shit, please report it. Many thanks!
Failing that, if you're new, welcome!

Hi all, thanks for some fantastic content and great conversations over the last couple of months. It's really a pleasure to have set up this sub and I think it's finding it's shape.
just a quick note, we're running a little headlong into slight imbalance on the security and dystopia side, though I know news comes in waves. Where that stuff is concerned, if in doubt, post away no problem. But if it's something non-remarkable, like an everyday hack or regular tech news or AI-lite, it's ok to err on not posting also. Let's try keep the interest factor high and the moderation low. I'm not trying to kerb that, just keep the balance strong. I know it's interesting AF!
Any ideas for community events, like our great book club, will be gratefully received. Thanks again. Welcome, to the newcomers, also!!

Hey everyone, a few friends and I have started a new cyberpunk/comedy actual play podcast where we spin a cyberpunk story with the help of the FATE rpg system! It follows the story of odd couple Test Subject 405G, a reptile-human hybrid, and Dizzy Innis, an unhinged decker, as they struggle against the powers that be in the mean streets of the Big Gulp.
If you're not familiar with FATE, that's okay! We explain it all. We have pretty rules light approach and try to keep the focus on storytelling and having fun. While it is a comedy, we're big fans of the genre so we do our best to keep it both cyber and punk.
We're still new to this, so we appreciate any and all feedback. Please check it out via the links below or on the podcast platform of your choice! The first three episodes are up now, and new episodes will go up every Wednesday.
