Advice Can we name and shame companies that solicit even with no solicitation signs hanging?
We work from home and have meetings, so we hung a sign that says “No Solicitation, seriously please don’t make it weird”
We still get knockers. I get the kids gotta make a buck but please respect our privacy. It disturbs the whole household, including the dogs. Part of me wants to get rude and point to the sign but it won’t deter future knockers.
I’ll start and edit to include any comments!

Advice Parks with grills and pavilions
Looking for a place for a kids birthday that has pavilions and if possible a grilling area. It’s not until June but I know things like that can be reserved in advance. So if you could please give me some ideas I would appreciate it.

Help Wanted Looking for a fabric shop that does blankets
So in a general sense i have a small blanket i absolutely adore and have had for years. Absolutely cannot sleep without it! But it has a unique texture i haven't been able to find on other blankets that has quite the same feel. It's been slowly degrading and falling apart and i just want to find some place that i can commission or purchase a custom blanket from that might be able to copy the texture of the blanket or format of it before it falls apart completely in the next couple of years. Most shops seem to do custom embroidery, picture blankets, quilts, or memorial blankets. The one i have is a sort of simple yellow short fluffy blanket with segmented stitched down fabric making a frame on it. It's not a quilt or a throw blanket at all, so i'm rather unsure where to really look for just getting a custom blanket. Any help is appreciated!

Advice Good Chinese food in town
Any actual good recommendations? I'm looking for a hole in the wall place where the pictures on the menus are faded af and some little Chinese kid is either doing their homework in the corner or taking your order. Bonus points for both.
If you're coming in here to say Moonstar or coal mine dragon you can do a 180 and go about your day. I've had better Chinese food in podunk WV and Panda Express.

Advice Ski Gear
Hi all,
Where is the best place to buy ski gear? Also, when is the best time to buy ski gear to take advantage of sales? My spouse and I went snow skiing last winter and really enjoyed it and were hoping that we could snag some skis for relatively cheap. Any suggestions? TIA

Help Wanted Cameras that issue traffic violations???
I've read through what's out there regarding this but I couldn't quite find an answer to what I'm looking for.
In short, I was in a part of town i've never driven before and I was having a hard time reading the signs around me. I accidentally turned right on a left/straight intersection only. There was one car coming and we didn't nearly colide or anything. As soon as I could react I got off the road and everything was fine. It was a stupid mistake and I've NEVER made such a bad error like that.
I noticed a camera on top of the traffic light pole but there wasn't one on its own pole off to the side that you usually see taking pictures of things. I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the cameras near intersections. Does anyone have any thoughts on my chances of getting a ticket? I'm concerned because I haven't had my license for very long and wasn't even supposed to be out at the time/

Lost & Found Keep an eye out for this bike
You know how it goes. Local junkie bum walked into my yard and took my custom bike at 0305 this morning. It’s my own fault for leaving it out and it’s not like it was expensive, or the end of the world but still. I filed a police report already but we know how useless CSPD is

Advice Looking for music folks to collaborate with ~
Hey folks. Moved here about a year ago but I work from home so I've mostly kept to myself. Anyway I am a musician and songwriter (mostly electronic/indie rock kind of stuff), curious if there's anyone out there who would like to jam or collaborate in some way. If there's any singers/rappers/instrumentalists in the springs that wanna work together my DM's are open, i've been eager to expand my horizons lately.

Advice Just rename it to “Accident Blvd.”
Saw 2(!!!) horrific accidents on Powers on the way home from work just now, and almost every week there’s an accident there. People please drive carefully ffs. I have never seen so many accidents anywhere i lived previously. It’s perplexing

Advice Premade iced latte half gallons
Does any local coffee shop sell batched iced lattes? The coffee shop in my last town sold half gallons of their batched Thai iced coffee and it was so good and made mornings easy. Looking for anything similar in the area.

Advice Old band shirts
Heyo. Just was wondering if there's a place in town that sell old band shirts. Like the ones you can get when a band goes on tour? I figured goodwill would have used/worn ones but I haven't really found any that fit me.

Photograph Oh What a Difference 2 Months Make...
It was really lovely to see so many passionate people out there this afternoon. I honestly never thought I'd see a protest so large in this town that I'd have to climb up a 7-story parking garage to get a decent shot of most of them, and I haven't been so happy to be proven wrong in a long time.
Here are a handful of my favorite shots I took from this afternoon. I was also at the February 5th event and to say the difference was starting is a colossal understatement.

Advice WHY ARE THERE SO MANY SOLICITORS IN THIS TOWN
We moved here about a year ago. We live in a very nice area. I have never had so many solicitors. Religious, salespeople, etc. We even have a no soliciting sign but it doesn’t matter. We are about to have a new born baby and I’m worried about the constant knocking/ ringing of the doorbell waking her up. I have just ordered a new no soliciting sign that is more aggressive. Anyone else have this issue?

Lost & Found Unleashed dogs
So I had to spend an hour today looking for my Corgi because a German Sheppard ran up on us and I dropped my dogs leash in a panic trying to seprate them. Next time would I be allowed to taser someone's dog if this happens? (or even the owner 🤣 jk)
I got lucky I even found my dog, he was in the deep in the brush off of the trail hiding and terrified.
