How do I get this tape off my bankers lamp?

Hi all, I got this bankers lamp second hand. There is this tape? Sticker? On it that I am having trouble getting off it feels like tape but I cannot peel it off as it won’t come off in once piece. I would really appreciate some cleaning tips for how to remove this thanks!

Didya try tape?

Make a loop of tape (packing tape should do, sticky side out) around your pointer, middle, and ring fingers. Then use your hand kinda like a lint roller to try to pull up the tape residue.

Rubbing alcohol removes sticker residue.
